''Fraud investigators replicated an online banking scheme that involved using old Nokia 1100 mobile phones. Using software created by hackers, some of the phones can be reprogrammed to receive another person's phone number and text messages. Some banks send one-time passwords that are needed to complete Internet banking transactions. A compromised phone gives bad guys access to this sensitive information. This hack also requires a person's online banking log-in information, but security researchers claim key-logging programs can easily garner these details. Unsurprisingly, criminals were willing to pay exorbitant amounts, such as US$7,567, for a used 1100 phone.'' |

lynxnoon:it's not really resizing, i just reduce the resolution with GIMP. i save my screenshots to desktop. Right click the saved file, and click open with GIMP image editor. click the file tab and select save as. from here you can choose the file extension type you want e.g JPEG , PNG, GIF etc. a dialogue box will open, choose export. another save as dialogue box will open, here check the box that says show preview in image window, now drag the cursor on the box to select the image quality. then click save when done. if you don't get it i will post graphics. |
@lynx. GIMP |

@lynx. Na true o! Na hayprof alone de swallow 90% of Starcomms bandwidth. |
i missed this thread. |
@lynx. you de vex for starcomms? i will still continue to manage. i spend a lot time on the internet at home. in my hood, starcomms is your best bet. mtn 3G though very unreliable can daze you with speed sometimes, has very poor or no coverage in my house. so men i am sticking with starcomms. |
Pls screenshots! |
i have posted this before in the computer section, this MTN 3.5G download speed i got. 300kB/s ~ 2.4Mb/s. if you can bit that let us know.
|
@hayprof, thats why i said we need screenshots in here, not talk! |
Ogboraph: ![]() |
guys, stop quoting figures. let the screenshots do the talking! |
linux mint is more polished. you still enjoy same support as ubuntu. am waiting for the 7th edition. |
mtn is not ready for 3G yet. if they think the kind of erratic service we get now is 3G, then they are plain stupid. useless service. why can't they just tell us they are still testing the service? abeg where is my starcomms sierra data card.? |
anyway i prefer it to ubuntu. |
