Allisgud: One babe wey I chenk,I say make I go for,I put marriage proposal to her playfully to know her reaction, she told me it's not gonna work🤔🤔 Person wey get small yansh and breast i say make I manage Lol. Put marriage proposal playfully? You are funny. Were you expecting her to be desperate or needy just because you brought the marriage convo😏 And if she gets excited at the playful marriage proposal, it is same you men that will say she's an evening newspaper or non-virgin and want to trap y'all. The girl is very smart. I don't know her but I like her. She knew you weren't serious hence she told you it won't work. Take your L in peace. And @ the bolded, you don't "manage" people based on their physical appearance. It is either you like them totally or you don't. I get irritated whenever I see that comment. The fact that you don't appreciate her small boobs and ass shows what you were in the relationship for. If you nor like small boobs and ass, please go for your spec and stop disturbing people's daughters and later turn around to say "you are managing them". |

GloriousGbola: its not so much hat they are dumb, but that they are coming from an environment where these are not factors in running a busienss
and making them part of your business will slow you down
i did my IT in siemens in 1999. siemens has multiple businesses - power, computers, phones, telecomms.
one day someone came to buy a phone. an office phone. they gave have a form in triplicate or quadruplate. not sure. it took over 30 minutes for the transaction. go to accounts, go to warehouse, go to office A .
the staff i was with was grumbling - this is so inefficient, see how they are wasting time. at the time, it sounded like he knew what he was talking about. today i know the process was in place because of people like him.
you put a simple quick process in place and they are exploiting it. if you are not coming from that system you will not understand. my sister complains that we in nigeria are always so negative, so suspicious, always demanding multiple clarifications on everything.
na so e be
these guys inflated the leases on sites. a site that going rate was maybe 5m for a year, became 20m. the lessor, took like 6m and kicked the rest back to them. that is how they were eating the investors money. the investor was doing their own audits, but they had no idea about real estate costs in Nigeria. everyone else in industry knew what was up, because why will you pay 20m for 5m lease. theft from its
Covid hit and the house of cards collapsed. a business can survive a bad economic turn. it cannot survive a bad economic turn and massive internal theft/looting This is a valid point actually. The environment they're coming from does not portray this attitude in business. Same here. Our processes are very slow, spanning in weeks, month and years. Sometimes I get angry about the snail procedure but then I realize, it is important to prevent fraud or misrepresentation in the future that will put the company in bad light. Hahahaha. It seems we are in the same line of business. It is nice to hear that. Terrible people everywhere. |

Nigerians run rings around oyibos and their processes.
if you are not native you cant understand. it is also why the likes of dangote hire indians as management. because in the end i guess thoe ones have enough sense to understand YOU DO NOT KILL THE GOOSE LAYING THE GOLDEN EGGS. maybe it is the nigger in u, i dont know - the same way you see farm workers robbing the business into insolvency, is the same way you see officer, manager, executives, directors and CEOs doing the same
i watched a promising company die because the oga and his crew were using style to steal the oyibos forex investment
everyone in the industry understood what was happening , because some costs were being obviously inflated
today the oyibos have pulled out, the company is under nigerian ownership, and the oga - i dont think he has been able to find another ceo job since then.
the guy built the company with his hands and destroyed it with his greed It is really sad to watch. I don't even know why these Oyibos can't see the handwriting on the wall. They can be just dùmb anyhow sometimes. My company has Indians, Americans, Chinese, Lebanese and NIGERIANS in top management. It is the Nigerian top officials that mostly do the nonsense. Oh well, I totally get your point. The way some costs are inflated is QUITE ALARMING!! You'd be wondering from where to where. We have a problem in this country and it isn't our leaders per se. |

GloriousGbola: once you are in a position of power in a large company
there is a company i have been trying to secure work in. the technical guys loove me because i have shown i know my stuff and we can get work done. the procurment guys have blocked us at eery turn . the procurment guys take 20% on every project. they dont care. you have a project worth 1 billion , you ae paid 20% up front, the procurment guy takes his cut.
you have the different cabala in every business robbing the company blind. people who dont know will say it is tinubu that is killing companies - when what is happening is different people have been robbing the compnay and now income has dropped, their theft is no longer sustainable.
any manufacturing business has a whole chain of people making money off generators and diesel. yo have a team who are ordering dieel for the company. you decide instead you build a fule dump and buy direct from a major. the project will be frustrated at every turn. your team says you use 5000 litres of diesel in a month. you engage a vendor with automatic guaging and they find your consumption is actually 2000 litres in a month.you sack and prosecute your entire engineering team, but everyone else in manufacturing hears and they all lock up and ensure they frustrate tank guaging in their own companies
i have spoken about how pump adjustment (which can make a dealer millions in a month)is a very very big thing in the downstream industry. at a time they found that there was a slush fund or protection money dealers were paying to a cabal. pay the money, adjust your pump without worry. but in the long run, this also impact on your station reputation. because the people on he street know your pumps are rigged. an okada rider or keke rider knows how much fuel it takes to fill his tank.
my brother is in LASBCA. the boy is an alfa [not that matters as plenty of thieves are religious] and he keeps complaining about the place, he wants out but work no dey like that. for most of his colleagues there he is the downer who they are not comfortable with. [when everyone na thief, we know we have the wall of silence because all our hand dey] he talked about a colleague who bought a big tv and ps5 because he could -after collecting a bribe, and the found he had no use for it
most of this big boy /baby girl lifestyle is unearned money. and you will see these guys fight tooth and nail to ensure the money flows. i know the way one procurement guy was fighting me when i did not agree to 20% and when i did not pay the full money up front. the entitlement of these people is sickening. but it is the cost of business . |

Farfalla: Like I said, it's not the common thing. Still, it wouldn't be practical to lie anyway because somewhere down the line a copy of your national ID card would be required to sign a rental lease agreement.
Our ID cards usually indicate our full names (even if you have 4), date of birth, place of birth, place issued, and county/sub-county of origin (this is basically where your village people reside and it's the part stupïd bigots rush to see first). Unless you walk around with a fake ID here it will be difficult to lie about your tribe.
"No Igbo tenant", "Yoruba preferred". Chai! Your own is too undiluted. That is true though. There are many tenants in Nigeria that don't even sign tenancy agreement. Hahaha but yes, that is the reality people face through when house hunting in Nigeria especially in Lagos. |
Romance › Re: Help! Our Last Born Wants To Be A Feminist by folake4u: 8:23pm On May 16, 2024 |
Farfalla: Though not common, this is something I once encountered while searching for accommodation in Nairobi some years ago. The landlord agreed to accommodate me because, using his words, "Unatoka barabara ya upande huu...". This loosely translates to, "The road to your home village is this direction..." This he said while pointing to a certain direction and I knew for sure he had no plans to accommodate the tribe(s) from the other direction(s). Lol wahala. So what if someone now lies about his tribe to get accommodation? Mehnnn. It is prevalent in Nigeria. You'd see posts like "No Igbo tenant" or "Yoruba preferred tribe". |
