Hi Folake4u, application has already started and most persons have applied already, but my school hasn't because we are still waiting for the password. But I'm getting worried, application was to end on the 29th of April, though obviously, it has to be extended. Did you speak with your plug?
Hi Virgo.

Sorry for the late response.

I've spoken to my plug since last month pertaining this issue. We just need the "Go-ahead" of the officer at Law School to process posting and he has been silent since. I CANNOT do anything without his approval.

But I'm aware they haven't given admissions yet. Right?

Hi Konquest

I tried replying your mention but got banned in that section. I have no idea, so I'd just reply here.

That's mad cool.

I like your energy and thought process here Folake. Some folks say older and younger female lawyers can be a bit boring and uptight, but you've got a quirky persona and a likeable way of externalizing your thoughts and feelings.
Thank you. I do like my persona very much. cheesy

Oh, I didn't realize you're now in Lagos. I thought you were either back to Benin or still in Abuja. I assume you're done with your service now and have gotten a good law firm where you're practicing. By the way, what's your current field of legal specialization? Is it property law, family law, etc.
Hahahaha. I didn't realize you know my monicker. I thought I was a wáll flower on these NL streets. But to answer you, Yes I'm now In Lagos and done with service. Actually, I got a job offer here while still serving in Abuja and resumption was three days after my POP. I had to book flight ASAP. cheesy

However, I don't work in a law firm. More like multinational company and my practice areas include General Corporate Law Practice, Real Estate and Telecommunications.

"Delulu and solulu?"... Lol. OK, our resident GenZ lawyer, briefly school me on the meaning of that phrase "delulu and solulu" when you read this.
Hahahaha I don turn Gen Z lawyer. Issokay. grin
I assume you're Gen X or Millennial.

Okay it simply means "Delusion" and "solution". I was basically saying I wish I could travel internationally for my birthday but that is a bit of daydreaming right now. Hence living in delusion which is the solution to my wish. cheesy

Enjoy you day Fola.

Take care. wink
P.S. Hang on... Fola, I'm as "masculine" as a "He." I ain't a ma'am... Indeed, my moniker exudes "refined masculinity." OR does kon.quest sound feminine to you? Smirk
Hahaha. In all honesty and from the convos, I thought I was conversing with a female character. But yeah, your monicker exudes refined masculinity. I'm happy for you. cheesy

I doubt that. cheesy
I think they just wanted this "native" feel to the name and 'Bantu' just seemed like a perfect fit. I mean, I don't know.... cheesy

You're welcome.
And speaking of Zulu people, I had also heard about them way before meeting them. There was this song about Zulu warriors we'd sing as kids. I still remember it. My mum also sung the same song as a kid. grin

She had fans here and there but she never did it for me. I do like Sauti Sol though. Maybe it's because they don't sing these cliché Kenyan songs that usually sound like nursery school rhymes. lipsrsealed

Interesting, because I read a lot of West African literature. Elechi Amadi, Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Ama Ata Aidoo, and Cyprian Ekwensi. We even did some of their books as literature set books. I also read Chimamanda's books but I still prefer the older novelists so far. Do you know that Soyinka's The Trials of Brother Jero has a Kiswahili version?

Aluta continua!!
**raises fist to join you in solidarity. grin

Sure they have beautiful names, but me, eh? It's their food I like.
As for their men, many women don't like them (for lots of good reasons), until you hear that he's the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. tongue grin
It is fine.

Hahaha that is quite possible though. grin grin

That is really cool. The Zulu Tribe is quite fascinating actually. I liked their warriors outfit though grin

Oh really? I had thought you'd vibe to her music. I'm surprised reading otherwise. Yeah Sauti Sol do good music. 😂😂😂😂😂See how you just finished your country's musicians.
Nursery school rhymes indeed.

Lol. Seems we swapped. I'm glad you read West African literature. The above names you mentioned, I have read their works. I love Chimamanda's books. She's GOOD. I get your point actually, those old novelists made one travel in time with their books.

Oh really? What is the Kenyan version of "The Trials of Brother Jero".

Tiri gbosa for joining the fists in solidarity. grin

How's their food like? Spicy? Sweet? Creamy? And what is your favourite Arabian food.

Yeahhhhhhhh. The way many women don't like them for lots of good reasons is the same way I don't like them. Except the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, of course. grin grin

If not for the fact that Nottingham Forest and Everton are inconsistent, Manure Utd is supposed to be fighting for relegation.
