Islam for Muslims / Re: Mild Sins Demand Penance Or Punishment But No Forgiveness For Serious Sins by folami86: 4:26am On Jul 07, 2009 |
fellis:Firstly, I'll try not to post anything without back-ups or lies Secondly, it's obvious you are a new recruit so you may want to read Chapter 80 in the Quoran before you answer me? Didn't Prophet Mohammad turned his back on a blind man when he was preaching? And didn't he asked for forgiveness? Why did he seek forgiveness? |

Tudór:I think Christians can live with spending the naira knowing that Muslims and Christians have some things in common:- We believe in one God (unlike you who don't believe in any) We pray daily We fast Mary/Christ existed on earth We believe in Heaven and Hell We believe in God's judgement We have a Holy book We have the Abraham roots in us (children of Abraham) God created us (including you) Weekly worship Helping (the act of giving) But here you have atheists who have no morals, always criticizing and always mocking God but can't do without the "in God we trust. Ma'an you all should bring back bartering |
Religion / Re: Did Jesus Have Brothers? by folami86: 5:03am On Jul 06, 2009 |
I can't find a biblical verse saying Mary had other children, so I think James and others were not blood brothers. I think during those days "brother" was the term used for close friends, family members and disciples of Christ. If I am wrong, please forgive my carnal mind |

Tudór:at tudor i understand where you are coming from but you are basing your argument on couple verses. Read the entire scripture to understand why Jesus referred to this Gentile woman as a dog while he was passing through the land of gentiles. see what idiom can do to us? It's all about reading and understanding stay focus |
Religion / Re: Crumbs Under The Table: Explain This Verse Please! by folami86: 8:58pm On Jul 03, 2009 |
SeanT21:That last verse proved her faith to Christ. Jesus kept rejecting her yet she insisted on calling him Master. Jesus referred to her as a dog and she said " "Yes Lord, even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters table" Right away Jesus knew she was a woman of faith and was different from the other gentiles, so he healed her daughter instantly. |

chukwudi44 link=topic=.msg:With respect, the same way Catholics take up weekly/monthly collection to maintain their buildings, buy wine for communion, donations etc, the same goes for Christian (tithing) churches. b) Let;s look at John 3:3. After reading this verse you'll agree that water baptism is a sign or a show that you are a new creature in Christ. Why Catholics confirmed (recite the catechism (sp)) people instead of baptising them? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Pray for me and I'll pray for yoyou |

chukwudi44 link=topic=:oh ye of little faith Better tithing than taking money from criminals. Catholic Church has absolutely no qualms about taking criminal's money, and in fact thrive off of it. Look at all those mafias who were/are contributing heavily to the catholic churches - from Al capone to the ***** family (don't wanna mention that name) Catholics are living off Mafia's money. Try reading this book -[b]The Vatican Exposed: Money, Murder, and the Mafia @topic The way I see it, God wrote the Bible, utilizing the hands of man. II Timothy 3:16. Moses wasn't a Catholic. Neither was David. And I'm pretty darn sure that Matt, Mark, Luke and John were all Jews. The Catholics did not write the bible because they came into existence around 1050 after they split from the Eastern Church and formed the papacy in Rome. They tried to modify the Bible to match their "unique" thinking but thank God for worldwide proofreaders. catholics have much to learn from the Christian Churches whether from their teaching or fellowship. Let's us continue to pray for one another. |

chukwudi44:It is said that reading is fundamental (http://www.rif.org/) and it's obvious you were in a rush since you spelled deterring and people wrong. I used the word "were" not "are". Surely, you are not thinking that I am comparing the early followers of Jesus Christ to these modern day Idol (praying to the statue of Mary/Rosary beads) worshippers? To know God personally is to pray through Jesus Christ. He is God's only provision for our sin. Continue to read the Bible and seek wisdom and knowledge. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Any Difference Between CV And Resume? by folami86: 5:25am On Jun 20, 2009 |
Somewhat the same but isn’t. The differences are the length. A resume (french= a brief history) is shorter (1 or 2 pages) that gives concise information about the person’s education, skills and experiences. (employer is looking briefly at your qualifications A CV (Course of Life) is longer (2 or more pages) - more like a detailed resume of your education, skills and experiences. CV is mostly used by Computer Techs, scientists, doctors, professors, politicians and lawyers because they usually list projects, workshops, conferences, cases, research experiences, etc. A CV is like a biography of your career |
Religion / Re: Don't Let The Catholic Faith Deter You From The Christian Faith by folami86: 5:54pm On Jun 19, 2009 |
The Catholics didn't write the Bible! However, they were the ones responsible for passing on the good news to future generations. The scriptures already existed prior to the council of Nicea. Check this out www.tertullian.org/rpearse/nicaea |
Islam for Muslims / Mild Sins Demand Penance Or Punishment But No Forgiveness For Serious Sins by folami86: 4:50pm On Jun 19, 2009 |

Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Muslims Don't Celebrate Birthdays? by folami86: 6:19am On Jun 09, 2009 |
at babs787 Here are the bible verses on birthday. Can you answer the original question? Now on the third day it turned out to be Phar´aoh’s birthday, and he proceeded to make a feast for all his servants and to lift up the head of the chief of the cupbearers and the head of the chief of the bakers in the midst of his servants. Genesis 40:20 But a convenient day came along when Herod spread an evening meal on his birthday for his top-ranking men and the military commanders and the foremost ones of Galilee. Mark 6:21 at Olabowale and Mukina2 According to the teaching of Prophet Muhammad, Muslims should not adopt practices, rituals, customs etc. Would you say birthdays fall into this category? Also, I thought the Prophe(saw)t never did. |
