Icon4s: So why was Teslim Balogun selected? Why was it not taken to Abuja, Uyo or Akure since all the pitches are the same.
When it comes to national team (SE) matches the NFF should not be giving us a pitch that is the same as all the other pitches everywhere else. They should give us the best.
They are putting home games to our disadvantage if they cannot give us a pitch that can help our boys play to their full potential.
This is a qualifier where goals difference and head to head can come back to hunt you if you didn't properly utilize your home advantage. I am not in the position to disclose the reason or reasons behind the selection of Teslim Balogun over the aforementioned stadiums but all I know is there are no better fields. All na same as I type except you want to prove me wrong by showing me a better field. All we need to ask for is for the upgrade of all the potential fields for qualifiers. |

Flood everywhere. |

AndSunGorilla: I think we should all be agreeing to condemn anything that is bad. Rather than trying to trivialize such issues with everyone else is like that now! When someone steals in 9ja and is caught, instead of condemning the wrongdoing, we respond with is he the only one stealing? Why didn't they catch the other thieves? In summary, that pitch is bad, QED. The other ones we have played on in recent times too are not good either, Asaba, Benin etc. Hopefully we can get at least 2 world class and well maintained pitches in Nigeria, is that too much to ask? I know the difference between a crime and a comparison. I never exonerate a thief in this context. I only compared a football pitch with another. |

Philosopher1979: SuperNerd Ill be honest with you converting african am to dm is pure Rascism and bias. It is just social bias and a norm that Africans are not seen as been able to play as attacking midfielders or creative players We cannot eradicate rascism and bias completely from human society It also happens in American football where blacks are seen as not been able to play the quater-back position.
Zaidu Sanusi's problems in Porto are also somewhat rascist Maybe if he changes his name to Carlos Alena and lie that his mother was Brazilian they will accept him. Even his name is too ras for the Porto fans to like. The want oyibo pepe jongo bonito from Sao paolo not one bush hausa boy from Africa Abdul Ajagun played mosltly as an attacking mildfielder through out his sojourn in Europe top leagues. From Greece, Holland to Belgium. |
