Abuja is well planned and all that but I think its still not there yet.

maybe some few years later that City ''Abuja'' will be around 80% complete which can knock down most cities in Africa but now, I think, those East African Cities are fine.

A foreigner who lived in Nairobi for years and supervised the whole East Africa. When he came to Abuja, declared Abuja the most beautiful city in Africa bar some South African city. This is a foreigner from a very developed country with Skyscrapers in many cities.

Yes,Mauritius and syschelles are a fraction of the whole eastern African region,but again,if we count the number of poor folks in west Africa vs east Africa, west will have more poor folks. If we check simple things like planned and better cities,east will have more numbers of those cities.
What I noticed here is,more guys forgets about Mauritius and syschelles when talking about east africa,that's why u will hear a blanket statements.. " east Africa is the anus..".

East Africa is more developed than west Africa.Countries which are are more developed in east Africa are Mauritius, syschelles,Tanzania,Kenya,Ethiopia,& Rwanda. Mayotte,& Reunion I exclude them since they are mostly under European leadership.

FYI,development isn't just on paper, but is all about life in the ground like electricity coverage, transportation, clean air,water access,city planning,housing,jobs,etc.After saying that,no country in west Africa will match Mauritius! No country will match syschelles.

Only Lagos state alone is far better than Mauritius and Syschelles combined.

Well, I can't see UCH & FMC Abuja there which I think in my personal opinion are the best but I can see some very government and private hospitals. Perhaps, they used some criteria
