mostob: I remember calling for Alampasu to be invited to at least train with the team. Some goons here said he is not getting playing time. What we don't know is that there are ways clubs and countries benefit from each other concerning a certain player. Akpeyi, Ezenwa and Uzoho are all bench warmers. But the goons here will not tell you that. Well, e don happen and everybody eyes don clear. |

Icon4s: Was he our only player that picked a yellow in that game? Why should it be Awaziem that should be substituted? Awaziem did nothing to free Chukwueze. He left him to deal with the Algerian LB on his own. I expected Awaziem to support him upfront but he lack the pace to run up and down the flank and lacked the experience of a RB. Besides, Awaziem was the only Nigerian player that got a yellow card. The Algerian pressed his wings often in that game. However, the plan B is if Chukwueze didn't get the space after the introduction of Aina, we can easily switch to 3-5-2. |

Curtisaxel7: Balogun should've started that game ahead of that Ekong. Ekong and Omeruo are horrible ball passers, they are only good for tackles and nothing else. Balogun brings that finesse and flair to the defence and in a game where Rohr intended to use his usual strategy of long passes from the CB's to the forwards, Balogun should've been the natural choice. I wonder how a coach can condemn a his best defender to the bench because of a single howler. That was just stupid of Rohr. I will have to agree with you on this. |

Shehu has had more good games than bad. In fact I can't name a bad game he has had apart from maybe the Argentina friendly. All you people said "Shehu never goes forward but Awaziem played basically the same way and you are like what a great player so disciplined. The only game I remembered Shehu did well was the match he won man of the match. The rest na wack. I agree Shehu and Awaziem play the same way though Awaziem has an edge with his good passes but they are still in the same category. Both are not good enough for the RB position. |

edi287: The did the same thing Baxter did against us - not trying to change a winning formula so not to upset the harmony in the team. He should've known it wouldn't work against Algeria. That's one of Rohr's problem. He thinks other coaches will not try to study and frustrate the winning formula and find way through it. That's why he ought to have either changed his tactics or have plan B if he wanted to stick with the winning formula. Anyway, I don't want him anymore. He should be gone by now or we employ another assistant coaches to help him. |

edi287: Exactly. I'm surprised he didn't do so. The funny thing is he wouldn't have needed to change too much for it. He already had Awaziem - Omeruo - Ekong as our 3 CBs, all he needed to do was decide who to bring on as wing backs and who would pair Ighalo/Musa upfront. Exactly! But I would had brought in Aina for Awaziem first to see if he could had helped free Chukwueze and gotten him pace to ran at the defenders before switching to that formation peradventure it didn't work. The problem was, Rohr didn't have plan B. |

Akpeyi Ezenwa
Balogun Ogu mikel
Onuachu (Doesn't look like a national team player) but his height would have been a plus if he knew how to use it. Maybe he should be tested more?
Shehu should move back to the midfield. Etebo should become the new mikel. Another creative midfielder should join that middle apart from Iwobi.
Secondly we need to draft Musa straight to either 9 or FALSE 9. The. MUSA I KNOW IS A GOAL SCORER AND NOT A CREATOR PER SAY. Shehu should prove himself in his club first before we call him again. |

Marjoribanks: This is an international media. Like I said he should have brought in Shehu to support Ndidi and move Etebo forward to Iwobi's position. Shehu gives everything and he would have been of help to Ndidi with Etebo pressing them high up on the pitch knowing fully well there's a cover for him instead Rohr was seen on the bench drinking water when the Algerians were all over us in the closing minutes. Sincerely yours no Nigerian coach would have behaved in such a non chalant manner.
Then remove Iwobi for Kalu, the game is there for the taking. How can you suggest Mikel that has been losing balls and given away possession in such a fast pace game. The same mistake he made against Argentina. It was obvious we needed reinforcement in the mildfield but Rohr was adamant to substitute any of the trio.. Mikel, Ndidi and Etebo whom he had only used in all the matches he played. The same senerio played out. |

Idowu is better than Collins based on what I have seen. He offers both offensive and defensive play to his game unlike Collins who is only defensive. Aina should be allowed to play in his natural position. Ebuehi should slog it out with him. Odubanjo can be tried too. |

darkelf: Player selection was at the root of our MF troubles in the AFCON
How can you invite just 4 MFs with a regressing Mikel as the only playmaker among them. Rohr takes the wrong kind of risks. Yet you invited as many as 7 (or is it 8 attackers) and started just 4 for almost the entire duration of the tourney.
Now, the creative force got injured and we had to rely on long balls to our wingers to create chances. Cut that long ball supply and Baba Rohr ran out of Ideas.
I don't expect Rohr to make the same mistakes with player selection again for our next challenge (qualifiers). If not, we get same results. An old man ought to be wiser That's if he still remains the coach. He should be gone by now. I may change my mind if he's ready to bring in mildfielders into the team and if NFF will sack all those Nigerian assistant coaches and replace them with foreign technical advisers and foreign goalkeeper trainer. |

darkelf: I am equally not in support of Amuneke as the Head coach of Super Eagles. Not with the current scandal involving his AFCON outing with Tanzania's Senior team. Neither am I in support of our local coaches getting the Job. They would be owed salaries and would resort to unscrupulous means to get money.
I even have mixed feelings on using a local coach as a technical assistant. Look at Alloy Agu and the GK dept. We don't want another Mohammed Gambo, Azubuike Egwueke or Flavor in the team. Hence my mixed feelings. The only person I would allow near the team is Finidi George who currently coaches Mallorca u-18 team and had initially offered to coach one of our youth teams for free.
I would actually prefer a foreign technical assistant with a proven track record. None comes of the top of my head for now but I would do my research and post names here. Okay na. Finidi George? |

darkelf: Isaac Success is a No, No for me. Not playing regularly (not even on loan in a championship club) and not disciplined.
Bryan Idowu is not different from what we have now. I am not keen on having him back unless he improves drastically.
Taiwo Awoniyi needs to play for the U-23 team to show what he can do for the SE.
Olanrewaju Kayode: I don't want to argue this one with you because I am not theGoodJoe an lengthy arguments are draining for me.
The only players (to add) for me include:
Fikayo and Uduokhai for CB. The current ones are very inconsistent
Ebuehi as a wing back/full back
Eberechi Eze and Joe Aribo (and maybe Nnamdi Oforborh) as creative central midfielders: Using Ndidi and Etebo won't cut it. We were exposed by Algeria
For attack, we may need Odey and Okereke; I will wait until their first full season in Belgium and I hope they impress. If Isaac Success was on the wing yesterday, he will perform better because he can work in tight space. Besides, you are very funny. Taiwo Awoniyi who has been tested in a better league should prove himself in the U23 first but Odey and Okereke who are yet to impress in the same league Taiwo Awoniyi already impressed should be rated highly. Ummmm! What kind of bias scale of measurement is this? Why the question mark on Olanrewaju Kayode? Is the name the problem or his record? Who is our deputy LB behind Collins? |
