samuk: The Oba believes that Oduduwa who was from Benin met his ancestors in Ife. According to him, Oduduwa who is a foreign king in Ife can't be senior to him who was met on the ground. Yoruba history sort of supports the Oba's position because it agrees that Oduduwa was actually from somewhere else and non native, some said from the sky, others said from Saudi Arabia. The Benins believe he was heir to the last Benin Ogiso (king from the Sky), this was what Oduduwa actually told Ife people when he got there, hence the believe by some that he climbed down from the Sky Oduduwa was not from Benin. |

TheGoodJoe: Easier said than done. As one who played as a striker, I no go miss that chance. He had the option to feign the keeper as if he wanted to take a shoot and allow the ball rolling a bit to his right foot before moving it into the box. At that point he would had made the keeper static for few seconds which would had allowed him get ahead and shoot into the post. That was what I expected him to do but he messed up big time. |

TheGoodJoe: You can turn him into a sardine if you have time. Nacho went for an instinctive finish because of the coming keeper. More time on the ball gives the keeper advantage to cover. Players miss clear cut chances. Even the best of the best.
It is a miss.
Finito. Iheanacho had enough time. Go and see the match again. Rushing na em even sweet pass. |

edi287: While Ndidi is a better DM that Etebo - Etebo is easily the better footballer. Etebo is just an inconsistent all rounder. When he's on song - he can be unstoppable. He's a better dribbler and passer than Ndidi. He needs to work on his decision making sha. Well, you are not far from the truth but I don't think he's that good in the CM. |

TheGoodJoe: The keeper was coming. Looking will give Elderson chance to reduce Nacho's shooting angles. You are thinking like this because you never play striker role before. Keepers are helpless in front of a deadly striker. No matter how he look reach or spread reach, you can turn him to a sardine with the technique of your shoot. Even in a very narrow angle, keeper go open space with your shooting technique. If you dey score for monkey post you go understand. |

Nobody has said anything to defend his talent all day, it is to tell us that Ndidi is not better than him, or that it's because he isn't fine.
That's why I like forgiveness and thegoodjoe, if na forgiveness, he would have slammed us with stats by now, goodjoe would have provided quotes from every coach and his assistant on the internet, but since it is neither of them, this is what we get. Hehehehehehe! Ndidi is better than Etebo in the DMF role. I was attacked here for saying Etebo no bi mildfielder. He is best a winger but in other to accommodate Etebo in the team due to many better wingers in the national team, a space was created for him in the Mildfield. Though he has not been doing badly but he's not consistent in the green white green. |

Sone was ignored despite winning man of the match for Rangers. As you rightly said, he was ignored even until he moved to the championship. That's the point.
How did Raheem lawsl got into the national team?
I think because he went against his club who were at the verge of qualifying for play off to the la Liga 2 to play for the AFCON U23 where he was joint top scorer of the tournament and made the best eleven despite not qualifying for the Olympics. Keshi was at the games there and promised to the national team.
I learnt his club gave a bad report to the la Liga club that wanted to buy him.
Anyway, that was the situation then. |

Taliban: Let the man rest in peace. He only missed one afcon sir. I wonder if ogu, omeruo have continued to bribe their way into the team. All the boys he fought against were later invited by thus same man, Yobo, Osaze and Uche. It's on record he's the only coach in recent years to look in the direction of Sone Aluko who according to Forgiveness was frozen out of the team cos he's principled. Keshi gave opportunities to Rheem Lawal and Hope Akpan, who else has called up thus guys? Don't forget Keshi introduced Balogun to the SE.but anyway we see things differently, I rest my case. Keshi was pressured to invite Some Aluko whose performance could not go unnoticed with Rangers. Despite that, he benched him for Uzeonyi. |

charlesemeka85: what we truly lack is a good box to box midfielder who can score and assist as well. the AM position for now is not our biggest worry because alex iwobi and mikel can easily be deployed in the position. the only decent box to box midfielder we can boast of is etebo but he is not good enough Onomah is a good box to box player. Why is Rohr not trying to approach him? Eberechi Eze is a good CM and I think he can play box-box but why has Rohr ignored him until now? It's not as if we don't have other CM doing well. I can list CM that are currently doing well. We don't just have a good scouting network devoid of sentiment. |

charlesemeka85: like i said previously it will only take an honest fellow to spit the truth that keshi was the most corrupt super eagles coach ever. alot of us here don't know what happens behind the scene and are not ardent followers of our players exploit abroad.
the same keshi that ignored imoh ezekiel who was a dynamite in the colors of standard liege banging in goals week in week out in favor of uchebo who was miserable in in cercle brugge then. the same keshi that tried to persuade young iheanacho to sign with his management team with a promise to that he will include him in the team to chan.
keshi was a mafia and highly connected that was the only reason he wasn't booted out on time as pinnick planned but his luck ran out when ex presido jona lost to buhari. It was very disheartening seeing players ignored for personal gains. Keshi was a portfolio cum business/coach that only thought about his pocket though a brilliant coach. Anyway, I don't want to put much mind for our football matter because of heart failure. Anyhow e comes I go take am like that. |

When I think about Keshi's AFCON list, I realized it was based on selective selection. Keshi dropped Taye Taiwo who started all the matches for Dynamo Kiev in the league, UEFA champions and Europa League for Juwon Oshaniwa who was in an obscure Israeli league. As at that time, Taye had a goal and 2 assists. Keshi dropped Lukam Haruna who anchored Dynamo Kiev CMF and AMF in both the league and UEFA champions League, and even scored 6 goals with 2 assists, for Fengor Ogude, Reuben Grabriel etc who were from obscure leagues. One of them was selected despite having injury. Imagine, Keshi took an INJURED player to the AFCON. I thought these two were playing for obscure team but surprisingly Keshi dropped them and picked Brown Ideye. Late Keshi Dropped Obafemi Martins who was banging in goals in the La Liga and Europa League for a player struggling in Russian league. Late Keshi Dropped Peter Odemwigie who was one of our best if not the best player in Europe for a player like Ejike Uzoenyi. I don't want to talk about Sone Aluko, Ezekiel Imoh etcetera who he conspicuously ignored for no just reason. Well, he won the trophy but at the end of the day, our SE suffered regression for 5 years. |
