Yobeezy: Why don't you expose everything about your sgr which we all know you people spent a lot of money to build it? Talk of the main sgr project running from Lagos to calabar at 1402 km which costed 12 billion dollars against Kenya's total sgr project running from mombasa to malaba at a cost of 8 Billion dollars. So who's building theirs at a lower cost? And furthermore Kenya's sgr is more beautiful than your sgr, some Nigerians confirmed this. The only beautiful rail project you guys have is the Abuja metro rail. Don't hype with partially completed projects, most Nigerians have been overrating Kenya's sgr though because they point black fingers to your corrupt politicians..
Hahaha so you want to compare Nairobi with Abuja? You're mad better talk of Lagos because Nairobi beats Abuja in all aspects by 80%.I can prove this beyond unreasonable doubt. Nairobi's population is 7.5 million plus including the metropolitan regions.
Most Nigerians are least informed here.
If Nigeria is able to build 1402 km( four thousand four hundred and two kilometres) standard gauge railway from Lagos to Calabar with just $12b, which is about 3 times the length of Nairobi - Malabar, why should Kenya use $8b to build ordinary 490 km standard gauge railway from Nairobi to Malabar?
Nigeria's 1402 km is three × 490km of Kenya's standard gauge railway yet it is just $2b lesser.
Who is building at a lower cost? Use your brain and answer the question.
Is Kenya's Mombasa- Malabar completed? See hypocrite. You built Mombasa-Nairobi and now you're doing Nairobi- Navash. Is that not partial too? Hypocrite.
Kenya is still building in segments. D Same way Nigeria is too. Though one segment has been completed like Kenya did with Nairobi-Mombasa, and the other segment will be operational in December.
Meanwhile, we have completed the Itakpe - Ajaokuta- Warri section. You are here boasting about Kenya.
For your information, Abuja is 6m plus if the metropolitan is included.
Can you please list the aspects? Don't just open ya mouth anyhow without giving verifiable facts.
TayserMahiri: No, NYS is a government youth thing where young people go (kinda like a barrack) and get training in various national matters. Think of it like a bootcamp. The youths get training in agriculture, security, first aid, community service, para-military training,,, etc. The govt then often fishes for soldiers and police officers from this. Dont you have the same?
Ok, im just being honest. None of those railways can be compared to Kenya's. Thats just the truth. I dont want to put down any country's railway but they are all crap, relative to Kenya's. The Ethiopian one has been discussed here many times. It breaks down like okada and it cannot do double stack containers. Yours, well I dont want to talk about yours but I know theres no way in hell it can be better than Kenyas. No bloody WAY! I would get the shock of my life if I learnt that it can do double stack because Nigerians just dont have that sort of foresight. You cant see so far ahead. Cuz Planning has never been your thing. Trust me, in a decade or so the Kenyan one will be truly world class, electrified and connecting to many neighboring countries. As it is now, it is already something to behold, no matter how you look at it. Even haters admit we have one hell of a railway.
First of all, railway projects are built according to a country's need.
Secondly, 277 km standard gauge railway to carry steel from Itakpe - Ajaokuta then down to Warri port was already built in 1987 though was not operational until recently. And it will do double stack containers, though it will also carry passengers. That was way before Kenya ever dreamt of having one or had the foresight to do one.
Nigeria also started the construction of Lagos - Kano standard gauge railway around 2011, way before Kenya thought of one and already had the Abuja-Kaduna standard gauge railway segment operational before Kenya did ground breaking of Mombasa-Nairobi standard gauge railway. This also can do double stack and is also for passengers transportation. Which foresight are you talking about?
My friend, we have already completed phase one of Abuja light rail and Calabar monorail. Both are operational as I write.
Lagos light rail and Port Harcourt monorail are also under construction.
You are here talking about foresight. Bhahahaha!
When Kenya start construction of intra cities monorail or light rail in 4 kenyan's major cities, come back and let us discuss foresight. Bhahahaha!
Yobeezy: The same Chinese contractors are the ones who built your crap SGR with 'latrine' looking station that most Nigerians went enraged to underrate it cursing your lifeless government,Kenya's SGR was built at a lower cost relatively than that of Nigeria's and it's more beautiful than yours. Even Wode Maya and some of the Nigerians living in Nairobi attested that, stop this whack jealousy, why didn't you tell the same Chinese contractors to build a spacious SGR like that of Kenya and also Ethiopia.
Your capital Abuja isn't that effective for most economic activities and that's why most Nigerians rush to Lagos to grasp for the little opportunities there Kibera's condition is even better than that of your makoko slum water.
Fat lie. Your Mombasa- Nairobi 465km standard gauge cost $3.6b while Nigeria's 343 km standard gauge constructed so far is $2.4b. The total cost of the whole project is $6,6b and it is about 1,150 km.
Need I tell you that your Nairobi-Malaba standard gauge railway which is 490km is costlier than that because it is $7b.
Which is built at a lower cost?
Abuja is not effective for economic activities? Bhahahaha!
Is there any city in Kenya as economical vibrant than Abuja?
Kur17: It's shocking to see a country with lots of oil resources like Nigeria, being in a condition that can only be compared to failed states like Somalia, Yemen, Burma/Myanmar, Guatemala.... Nigerians are willing to die in Libya, Mediterranean sea and even in Kenya just trying to get out of their shi±hole places for a better living standards... and now they're going to forced to use contraceptions... Could that country be under a spell or something
I can tell you most Nigerians going to Libya never bargained for it. They were deceived to embark on that journey.
TayserMahiri: We should allow these empty head Nigerians a comeback so that we can smother them for the final time and bury them. And from then on, Kenya will be the undisputed Big Brother In Africa. We will show Africans (especially the ones dying in the oceans) how to progress and how to use their brains.
Yobeezy: Obinna is a comedian who came to Kenya because he knew the opportunity to develop his career path was intensed here because Nigerians didn't offer him much support in comics. For your information,I just knew obinna through our famous comic tv churchill show. Both of them are in Kenya because they obviously make good money from their entertainment concert, moreso Nairobi city is the only African city where most top African artists and rappers and also artists from other continents make more money than any other African city. That's why they find their market here to be stable.
Hahaha you're saying Kenyan entertainment industry is not functional yet just recently most of our artists, rappers and comedians bagged several BET and AFRIMMA awards in the category of the best in Africa, the awards was conducted in New Jersey and Texas in US.
Obviously, Obinna could not measure up in Nigeria hence the need to run away to a place where there's less competition. Maybe Kenya was the right choice.
mtisTheQubit: They call themselves developers of new worlds. They forgot theirs is a sh**t like Trump said.. Funny many don’t want to go back home coz life here is great .ask them politely an they will spill the beans
Yobeezy: Nigerians keep on overrating their country at all cost claiming to be the best in Africa yet 26,000 of them are living and working in Kenya, some are even calling Kenya their second home, the likes of Obinna and Yemi Alade. Now if they think their country is the best in Africa, why don't they stay in their own and enjoy all the massive opportunities that they think which other African nations doesn't have?
Do you know how many Chinese are in Nigeria? Does that makes Nigeria better than China?
Yobeezy: Please stop overrating your SGR when we all know the contract was undertaken by the Chinese firm, those Nigerian workers whom you are claiming to be part of building the project are just literally semi skilled or casual workers, they just work with instructions from their Chinese engineers overseeing the project, that's how too they worked in Kenya where some Kenyans secured some casual jobs in the SGR progress. So there's nothing to brag here but just a dime sideshows...lol For sure some Nigerians usually like chest beating for nothing!
As for kibera of 2018,most of it's parts has clean tapped water system, proper electrification, security and free public WiFi in some parts, even there's a tarmacked road in some streets of kibera. What makes kibera to bear the bad outlook of it's image is just the mud walled houses with corrugated sheets only. Makoko slum is pathetic ugly slum water which is located on a Lagos lagoon,it can't come close to kibera's condition dude moreso the lifestyle there.
You are wrong. Nigerian engineers are part of the construction. It's part of the contract CCEC signed. Technology must be transferred.
The first phase of Kenya's 465 km standard gauge railway has been completed while that of Ethiopia 759 km standard gauge is operational. The Ethiopian own is longer than that of Mombasa Nairobi standard guage railway.
However, Nigeria has already completed the 187km Abuja- Kaduna standard guage rail while the 156km Lagos - Ibadan will be completed in December. Both are segments of Lagos - Kano 1,118 km (excluding Minna - Abuja segment which could be around150 km) standard gauge under construction.
Meanwhile, 276km Ajaokuta- Itakpe standard guage railway segment of Warri - Abuja railway has been completed and construction of Ajaokuta to Abuja 243 km is underway. .
Lagos - Calabar and Porth Harcourt - Maiduguri will commence next year.
Icon79: My recommendation to VicMo, if I were advising him, would be to stick it out at Chelsea. Next summer, Antonio Conte would probably go to Real Madrid (or elsewhere) and I am pretty sure that VicMo would be in his plans.
Icon79: The bottom line is, both VicMo and Pedro have fallen down the pecking order. Chelsea's first 11 comprises of Hazard and Williams on the flanks with either Morata or Giroud in the middle. Pedro and Moses are both benchwarmers.
O pari
That's not true. Pedro was a starter before he got injured.
Icon79: Bros, I have been following Pedro's career since his Barca days. He ain't that good. He's a better finisher than VicMo, but Moses beats in many other areas, such as providing defensive cover, ball retention and holding up players.
O pari
Just watch Chelsea's game and see why Pedro is ahead of Vicmo in Sari's setting.
Icon79: All things considered, Pedro shouldn't be above Moses in the pecking order. I think being an ex Barca player is playing some kinda role on that one.
O pari
Are you serious? Do you mean the Pedro..?
Hahahaha! Very funny. Pedro understands Sari style better than Victor Moses.
Icon79: Forgiveness, are you buying this FAKE news?
Jose Mourinho couldn't even keep Moses as a squad player at Chelsea; now you're telling me that he desperately needs him at Man Utd It doesn't add up, if you ask me.
O pari
Which fake news? It is all over British media. Mourinho sold Mata despite the fact he was Chelsea's best player that season. Is it not the same Mata he is using in Man United?
Abegi, free Moses. I know if it is rumoured one player is going to Man United, u no go argue.
terzurum5: Rohr reveals player that might never play for Super Eagles
Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has admitted that it would be hard to wrestle talented Queens Park Rangers’ teen prospect, Ebere Eze, from England after his debut for the U20s.
Ebere trained with Rohr’s team during their camping exercise in England and even took part in a test game organised among the players, after the cancellation of a planned friendly game.
Unlike Ola Aina who has since gone on to establish himself as a full fledged international since that camp exercise in London, Eze wasn’t approached by Rohr since then despite his fine form for QPR in the English Championship.
England has since called him up to their U20 team and Rohr told KweseESPN in an interview: “So could he still be in Nigeria’s plans? Yes.
“But it will be a long process before authorisation for him to play for us.”
raumdeuter: Act 1. No country will ever do that Act 2. USA will never do that Act 3 The ones deported were Illegal immigrant Act 4 USA is a developed country so they are free to do that
SarkinYarki: So 13 million jobs lost , 300 percent inflation, over 25 thousand deaths to violence, escalating poverty , worsening healthcare ? Are these the projects you mean ? My friend wake up from mediocrity
Do you know how many lost their jobs through retrenchment under PDP without even being paid their full entitlement?
