Icon79:From club to country, Taiwo is far better. |
Icon79:Taiwo is better than those two. |
Good list. However, what is that unkown home based player doing on the list? Is it another chop I chop arrangee because I don't think he's the best player in the NPFL. Anyway, kudos for adding Samuel Chuchwueze on the list. No Jupiter can disagree or complain on top did one because he deserved it. But if I hear phem. ![]() However, I am still trying to phantom the speed at which the coach gave Osimhen a call just because he scored 6 goals in the same Belgium Pro league we saw players done better than him in the same Belgium pro league last season. Is this not bias selection or selective selection of players? Man no man and agent connection? Na wa |

TayserMahiri:Does your emotional rant change the fact that we were and still are regional power who had influenced the emancipation of some African countries from second colonial rule, huh? Is Nigeria the Ambassador of South Africa who is singing the song daily to educate his ignorant youths? Are we the one who told the South African government to include this part of history in their curriculum? Stop crying mau mau like you you are know for and accept the fact at your face. Coward Kenya did nothing. ![]() My friend, I am talking about why we were called Gaint of Africa, you are here talking about aftermath. Shift! ![]() South Africa has concluded plans to re-introduce history in its academic curriculum so as to enlighten its citizens about Nigeria’s role in the fight against apartheid rule, an official has said. “Nigeria is a country that gave profile to the international pillar of our revolution in the UN and the commonwealth; it is a country that received our youth during the apartheid. “Our youth came to Nigeria and were given scholarship; it is a country that has been very much relentless in supporting us, despite the geographical difference that separates us,” he said. The envoy said that the unity of the two countries was important and the youth must know about it.. He said Nigeria was part of the countries that said “African cannot be free as long as South Africa is not free’’. According to him, Nigerian public servants used to keep part of their salaries to fight for the course of South Africa, so that those young kids could be able to go to schools. .https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/223405-apartheid-struggle-south-africa-educate-citizens-nigerias-role.html You say what? How can Kenya Thus the recognition in 1975 of the Movimento Popular deLibertação de Angola (MPLA) provided a major encouragement to the liberationstruggle in southern Africa, marking the beginning of a more engaged commitment todecolonization and African integration. Nigeria’s success in isolating UNITA, its rolein the struggle for Zimbabwean independence and particularly its role in the Lancaster House Accords; its support to Namibia not just during the struggle but also in post-apartheid reconstruction in which it contributed about US$20 million in assistance tothe South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) in the 1989 elections, as wellas financial and military support to other liberation movements in Zambia, Tanzania,Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and South Africa were notable planks in the commitment toa free and united Africa. Nigeria’s support for the conduct of elections in severalcountries such as Niger Republic, are clear indications also to a commitment to thedemocratisation of Africa. These goals were also pursued on the economic and cultural levels throughvarious forms of aid, technical assistance, and civil and military training to variousAfrican countries. Over 100,000 Nigerian troops have served in UN peacekeeping missions around the world since her first participation in 1960 and four of these missions have been commanded by Nigerian senior military officers (Congo, Angola, and Beirut). The first major peacekeeping role however was that of Chad (1979-82) which Nigeria undertook under the auspices of the OAU. That operation cost Nigeria about $82m which had to be written off. Nigeria has also been, for a long time, the chair of the UN Special Committee on Peace Keeping Operations. TayserMahiri:Terrible? Since 1952 before the western region of Nigeria was granted self governing status by the British 1957, they succeeded in building an economy through Agriculture that enabled them provide free primary education, build the first Skyscraper in tropical Africa, the first television station in tropical Africa, the first Olympic stadium in sub Sahara Africa, the first steel glass framed Skyscraper in West Africa, the most beautiful and we'll planned University in Nigeria if not Africa, free health care for children, first standard hotel in Nigeria and one of the oldest in West Africa etcetera. All these, before and after independent. As at then Ibadan was the Dubai of Africa. Followed by economic boom in other regions from 1960 - 1966 before coup set in, and after which we experienced civil war for 3 years. Despite the war, we never went into recession or economy depression rather we became prosperous as a result of oil boom in 1970. It continued until 1985 before things went low. That was the first time naira depreciated from N0.65 to N2 for $1. How did we build new cities from the scratct, build strong infrastructure, Universities, Telecoms, TV, Arts (Nigeria hosted FESTAC 77), Music, Poetry and other literary works, national airline (Nigeria Airways) that was the best in Africa, sports (Nigeria dominated the All Africa Games for years), 3rd strongest military in Africa, etc? How can we help other countries in terms of food aid to famine ridden countries, resolution of internal conflicts and award of scholarships to Africans during those era? How were we able to do all these if Nigeria never did well? My friend, telling me there was never a time Nigeria did well is height of ignorance. There were 4 factors that promoted gaint of Africa. First reason is population. Second reason is wealth. We were the Saudi Arabia of Africa. We were the economic super power. As I told you, our currency was much stronger than the dollar and equal to Pounds. N0.65 for $1 and N1.20 for £1 were the exchange rate during that period. That was why all African countries flooded Nigeria and we were able to give scholarships to hundred of South African youths during apartheid. $61b was what we spent in other for black South Africans to emancipate from apartheid. Singlehandedly, funded peace keeping missions in raging Africa. As it stands, Nigeria with the annual GDP of $400b is the largest economy in AFRICA. It is the only country in Africa listed among the “Next Eleven” economies poised to become the biggest economies in the 21st century. Third was and still is the political influence. From ECOWAS to OAU and UN, we were and still the major player. Nigeria political influence can't be overlooked. We were directly involved in the independent of African countries and also very directly active in campaigns for the proscription of racism and apartheid in South Africa. That was when Kenya cowardly backed out in pretence they are Switzerland of Africa. Bhahahaha! ![]() Fourth reason is military power. Nigeria has the strongest military in the sub Sahara Africa beside South African. |
Nowenuse:Kenya government na oga for stealing. ![]() |
Kur17:Nairobi is not as beautiful as Abuja. Even many parts of Lagos is better than Nairobi. This statement was from a Asian foreigners who lived in Nairobi mores than 5 years. They concluded Abuja is the most beautiful city in sub Saharan Africa apart from sone South African cities. ![]() |

|
mtisTheQubit:No. You don't have a valid point because this was just test drive. |
TayserMahiri:Is this also about how Kenya is the great planner and the one with only foresight in mother Aflika? Bhahahaha! ![]() |
