Martz101: He played there for his former Belgium team Eupen and scored hand full of goals, he started in that position when he left for Anderlecht, before the coach pushed him to the left.
Onyekuru is Thierry Henry and Anthony martial kinda striker, he can play in all position forward but prefer to cut from the left That is not true. Onyekuru never scored hand full of goals in the CF position. In short, his coach emphatically said Onyekuru can't play as a striker. Onyekuru is not a striker. The first snapshot is the stats for Eupen and there is nothing like hand full goals. How many times did he play as striker there? How many 'hand full' goals did he score? In Anderlecht, he failed woefully as a striker. Let him fight for the LW slot with Iwobi, Musa and Simon.

Joel has always been fans Favourite even on this thread. What a lot of people were worried about was his frequent injuries. One thing or the other was used to disqualify a player. Joel's own was injury. |

Almost everybody supported the invitation of Joel Obi. The only caveat was his injury
Seems like the only reason you list so many players for invitation is so you can gloat and say 'I told you so'. Alot here. No time to dig out names. No. I am only trying to prove that people just against some monikers view point for no good reason or because they already believe everything they write are rubbish but we now know better. |

Certitude: If it's Joel Obi, you weren't the only one who clamoured for his invitation. As for Martins, I'll vehemently disagree that he'd be invited... Aluko no fit even get invite sef. Did I say I am the only one? Yes, you can vehemently disagree for Martins invitation, the same way people vehemently disagreed the invitation of Joel Obi siting it will disrupt team spirit and team cohesion but from what we are hearing from the camp there is nothing like that, their insinuation is void and nulled. Why can Aluko get invitation? |

Daejoyoung: Training Report – How Joel Obi Turned Practice Game In Favour Of Team A After Replacing Onazi
The team B of the Super Eagles of Nigeria were slowly running away with a win in yesterday’s practice match during the training session of the Super Eagles before Joel Obi was switched to the A team.
Obi started the game in midfield for the B team, and before his substitution they were leading 1-0 with his hardworking display helping his side to switch from defence to attack with ease as he dominated the midfield duels.
Coach Gernot Rohr was somehow impressed by his performance and moved him to the A team in place of Ogenyi Onazi, and he immediately helped stabilise the midfield of the A team who were nowhere near their best when he was playing against them.
His introduction helped them claw their way back into the game, and they eventually won the session 3-1. A scoreline which angered many players of the B team who were unhappy over the decision of Rohr to take Obi from their team.
DONT MISS ==> EXCLUSIVE: Former Super Eagles Forward Obinna Nsofor On Trial At German Bundesliga Side One positive notice during the training session is the way the players played among themselves, with both teams displaying a high level of understanding in defence and even in attack.
Ade Emmanuel Hehehehe! There was alot of resistance here at the mention of Joel Obi by my humble self and notable Mickael2 and distinguish Komekn. Now, who takes the glory? Don't forget we are still saying bring back Sone Aluko and Obafemi Martins. |

Daejoyoung: Well in 1994 we had to beat Ivory Coast on penalties, and the Zambians dominated hitting the woodwork in the second half even with the quality on our side, so it's not that different in terms of performance but l agree we had really technical individuals then admired across the globe, we had Finidi, Taribo, Yekini, and later on Kanu and Okocha who were well known in 1998. on terms of the quality of players and the club's they played for, l agree we can't compare this generation, but team work is what matters, and this generation can really do better than the set in the nineties. Ok na. Ehen, there was no expectation on Keshi's team but there was in 1994. |
