I might be wrong but that's the feeling I have. During the days of Oruma and Akpoborie, I was pissed off with the same selective selection but then there was no place to voice out. They allowed those players career to die just like that. To me it is not fair and it has to stop. Nwakaeme is doing well so he deserves to be called but the coach must start him against Algeria and try him against Argentina. |

Which league are Cameroonian players that just won the last AFCON playing?
Are your preferred playing for Real Madrid?
When you point one finger, the other four points back at you. You're likely a very corrupt person. I didn't see this one. Where is that fellow that won you the AFCON? Why couldn't he rescue you from loosing out twice from going to AFCON? Cameroonians presented the best they had and not magogo selective selections played here. At least, they are playing in a better league than Norway of all places. If you can't see that then obviously you're likely the corrupt one here. |

Joel Obi may also get his time if his village people can allow him.
Joel I think is Nigeria's best player that has never played for Nigeria in any tournament. His village people are really very strong, even blinding the eyes of Rohr from seeing him in action lately. We live in an age where if you really want to find out anything you can do. You can even reach out to Kayode and ask him why he's not been invited. Finding a player who is in far away obscure league in the national team above those playing in the top ten leagues in the world calls for scrutiny and allegations of corruption practices. It is unacceptable and it must stop. If they wan sue me I am ready to prove that my allegations of corruption malpractices are substantial enough based on critical reasoning and some concrete evidence from popular figures that openly admitted that coaches takes bride to get players in the National team. Joebie: Rohr calls Mikel, Musa, 22 others for Algeria, Argentina By The NFF Updated: October 30, 2017
Captain Mikel John Obi, forward Ahmed Musa and midfielder Ogenyi Onazi top the list of 24 players that Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has invited for next week’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match away to Algeria, and the prestige friendly with Argentina in Russia four days later.
Goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi also made the cut, as well as defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Leon Balogun and William Ekong, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo and forwards Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo.
There is a first call for impressive Deportivo La Coruna of Spain safe hands Francis Uzoho, as well as former U17 World Cup winner Chidiebere Nwakali. Russia -based Brian Idowu has been placed on standby only for the friendly with Argentina.
2013 AFCON winner Kenneth Omeruo is on standby for both matches, alongside former junior international Alhassan Ibrahim, who now plays in Austria.
All invited players are expected to arrive in a camp in Morocco on Monday, 6th November, before the delegation flies to Constantine on Thursday, 9th November.
On Saturday, 11th November, a 45 –seater chartered aircraft will fly the Super Eagles from Constantine to Krasnodar, the Russian city that will host the international friendly against Argentina on Tuesday, 14th November.
THE FULL LIST
Goalkeepers: Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa); Ikechukwu Ezenwa (FC IfeanyiUbah); Francis Uzoho (Deportivo La Coruna, Spain)
Defenders: William Ekong (Bursaspor FC, Turkey); Abdullahi Shehu (Anorthosis Famagusta, Cyprus); Tyronne Ebuehi (ADO Den Haag, The Netherlands); Leon Balogun (FSV Mainz 05, Germany); Uche Agbo (Standard Liege, Belgium); Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes FC, France); Olaoluwa Aina (Hull City, England)
Midfielders: Mikel John Obi (Tianjin Teda, China); Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor FC, Turkey); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Oghenekaro Etebo (CD Feirense, Portugal); John Ogu (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel); Mikel Agu (Bursaspor FC, Turkey); Chidiebere Nwakali (Sogndal FC, Norway)
Forwards: Ahmed Musa (Leicester City, England); Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, England); Moses Simon (KAA Gent, Belgium); Alex Iwobi (Arsenal FC, England); Odion Ighalo (Chang Chun-Yatai, China); Henry Onyekuru (RSC Anderlecht, Belgium); Anthony Nwakaeme (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel) STANDBY: Kenneth Omeruo (Kasimpasa FC, Turkey); Alhassan Ibrahim (FK Austria Wien, Austria); Brian Idowu (FC Amkar Perm, Russia) Chidi Nwakali has paid his way into the national team. Rohr is definitely corrupt. Now, I know this the national team is controlled by few and their powerful agents. I will surely do something to sensitive those who are not aware about the way some players get into the National team anyhow. |

Icon79: Omo, what exploits are you talking about exactly? How many goals has Kayode scored this season? How many games has even started for Girona?
I watched him closely yesterday and I can't for the life of me see anything special about his game. He was a 80th minute substitute or so, and tried very hard to get into the game. But all I could see for the 15 mins he played was all hustles and nothing else. He's way behind Kelechi and Jude Ighalo in the pecking order.
O pari I was talking about his exploits in the Austrian league that got him the highest goalscorer and best player award in Austria, and it's these same exploits that got him noticed by Guardiola to had personally called him and bought him for Manchester City. These are his exploits before the friendlies but Rohr refused to call him until he was pressured to do so and when he eventually invited him, Rohr refused to start him in one of those friendlies. Is Rohr better than Guardiola? You are asking me how mang goals has he scored this season and how many games he has started, ba!? Now, tell me how many goals and games iheanacho has scored and started this season and don't forget to tell me about Ahmed Musa? About the game against Real Madrid, can you please tell us where Kayode played when he came on? |

In fact with the foreign born we need to be even more circumspect because if we cap them under the idea of 'catch them young' and they turn out to be flops don't you think the British press for example would have a treat deriding us and making it difficult for others to make that choice? With Naija born such risk does not exist. This thing calls for some measure of discernment.
