The Truth Has Spoken! Oh please! For how long are you guys going to blame PDP. Let it be known that I doubt if there is any human alive that harbours as much contempt, animosity and disgust for PDP than I. He had won the elections since end of March. We are already in december with no clear sense of purpose regarding policies and strategy. Take the economy for instance, I wonder what the heck that quack minister of finance is doing. I am even confused on who is currently running the economy whether it's the CBN or she. Now to the fuel issue. I have been at the filling station since 6am. This is about 10:30. I am still on the queue with no expected time of purchase in sight. And this was a government that kept on blasting non stop about how subsidy was non existent or was at best a scam. Only for the same forked up government to look on helplessly while the beneficiaries of the subsidy regime hold him and nigerians by our balls. You all are shouting anti corruption all over the place like it's the Lords prayer. How does this government hope to achieve this? No sensitisation of the populace on the ills that corruption poses, no plans for reforms in the judiciary which we all know most of the time deliver judgments in favor of the highest bidder. What about the police? Extra judicial killings permeate the news like never before, illegal check points are being mounted brazenly and still 'notin dey happen'. In fact I could go on and on. But my summary is that this regime is in coma barely seven months into its life and in dire need of ER. P.s: I voted for buhari the snail in 2007, 2011 and 2015. |

Saved2Serve: nic one bro! i also feel they are protecting their economic interest. But when shall we upgrade as a nation to this level? I can authoritatively tell you that will not happen in this present millennium. To prove my point, ask yourself if we have achieved the level of development the US has attained as far back as the 18th century I am yet to see any technology in naija that is 100%naija. I may be wrong tho and I stand corrected. The best we do is semi knock down where we import major parts and assemble them here. We are very very very far from any technological breakthrough in this country. In other news, you mean you have already resumed in this new job of yours? and you are already on the rig in naija? And then when do you think our offers will drop? Cos I am back to checking my mail every ten minutes like I was doing when I was expecting the interview feedback. Its so freaking frustrating. Saved2Serve: Sometimes i wonder what really qualifies us as a nation. Is it the geographical landmass alone? There are lots of things happening in this nation but we don't know. They happen under our nose but little do we know about it.
Did you know that submarines from US passes through our waters undetected? I wont say more than this. I have noticed this twice since i began offshore work in Nigeria. In fact they come here for surveilance, not like they are 'passerby'. A lot of people who are aware of this claim of mine, or who have seen this beast live are just ordinary people like me.
In fact, then we became use to it, because its presence was obvious and known. I doubt our country's defence knows this. They won't know, it is sharing $2.5billion dollars for election and earmarking 370million naira for special prayers, they are good at.
I love knowing deeper secrets than what meets the eyes. We have a lot as a nation to do. Some countries have mapped out 150 years plan for genertions unborn. Yet all that graces our news headlines are 'GRAFT CASES'. #HopeNotLost# If na dat one, US subs patrol every single ocean in the world. And most of them undetected. The President of the US being referred to as the most powerful man on the planet no be by mouth. As for your claim that their presence is obvious and known, I guess that is because they are in a friendly territory or waters. Otherwise, no one would have known. Stealth is an inherent property in the design and construction of US subs. Meanwhile, this naija is one messed up country. We never consider merit in anything we do in this country. As I sabi pray reach, dem no share one kobo out of the 370 milla come my side o. |

Saved2Serve: Here is a confluence; EHs meeets GTs. Let us keep pushing our lives like Nlng aint on our lists. Meanwhile, I have another interview on wednesday in lagos. Same oil n Gas chase. Wish me well guys!
@forkadict, can you believe up till now, Nlng hasn't reinbursed us our transfare to interview venue? Lolzz-its amazing! Things are changing and we all must never understimate the power of things going differently as expected. I dnt trust any system until the reaction is complete. Yes! They took our bank account details on a log book.
@Forkadict have you thought if EHs coming from other sectors not purely O/G will be sent on training or theey gonna leaarn on the job( OJT). Just to tell you guys, Nlng is also cutting cost and training is inclusive.
My secret advice to GTs, read n read and know the nlng plant, industry like you have worked there b4. Do this before ur interview. Eg I mean, if at interview u are asked what do you know about a compressor? Pls don't just define it and keep mute. Define it, give example, touch on its operating principle and also gv an example of compressor that an LNG baseload plant uses or can use. Don't rest your oars on " I be GT, am not expected to know this". Bros, if u dnt know it and one person knows it, ee don bizzle for u. Pls prepare like u be EH applicant. Eg: a compressor is an isentropic device which increases the pressure of a gas or air by adiabatically reducing its volume. This device comprise of 3-types- centrifugal bla bla bla. One good example of a compresso used to run a base load LNG plant is an aeroderivative compressor.
Prove to the panel that with the slightest induction and OJT, you can hit the ground running in your new post. Training money n oversea abracadabra don dey give them headache oh! Then ask for God's GRACE.
~saved2serve reporting from a saucekid~ I was just about to say that I hope the GTs will not be annoyed that EHs have come to hijack their thread but then I was like 'shebi dem too dey come EH thread. So no yawa.' Well I am surprised by your claim of your transport expenses not being reimbursed to date. That is serious. I really don't understand what's going on. I am one of the very few EHs that will be coming in from other sectors outside oil and gas. I have my 'gbef' experience in manufacturing. I still remember the complex and anxiety i surferred on the interview date seeing many guys from the oil and gas industry. NNPC, Shell, etc. I was like 'Ogbeni forkadict, na which experience you get wey you wan face these guys so?' Then the word of the Lord from the book of Zacharia came to me that ' This is the word of the Lord unto forkadict that it is not by power nor by might but by my spirit' And really and truly, everything else is history. As for formal/scheduled training, I don't think there will be any training in the beginning. But perhaps training may be arranged later for anyone with egregious short comings if such short comings are discovered with time. But as for me, I don't expect any training apart from OJT. I wish you the very best in your interview. You really have options to play with o. And I envy you sha. As for the rest of your post, GTs Don pass all that level tey tey o. Na medicals dem dey brace up for so. |
