after one year of 'waiting'..your smile is here....see how I'm smiling like I'm d one resuming soon. congrats jare my brother...you deserve it.

signs of great things to come....
Thanks so much bro.

The smile ehn, na die o. Even in my sleep sef. If I want to roll over, na wit smile lol. You really cant blame me tho cos this thing has met 2 of my most prominent needs in life. The first is that the struggle to break into the oil and gas industry has persisted for over a decade and now it has come. The second reason is that it has come in the form of deliverance from the hands of my oppressors at work.

I wish you the very best as well.

Been hustling for well over a decade. I pray God makes this my FINAL BUS STOP.

Right now, I am so pre-occupied with how to make my exit from my current miserable company as dramatic as possible. I want the jaws of the mofos that have ill treated me for years to drop long after I am gone. make dem open mouth make dem no fit close am again.

Let's continue the remix frm here:
HR Head: "Really? But why are they restless now? It took us longer to conduct the AC after the SHL stage and nothing happened.
HR Officer: "Yes sir, but we sent them an e-mail informing them about the cause of the delay and a proposed date for the next stage.
HR Head: "Oh yeah. Well I guess we know what to do then?
HR Officer: "But sir, we are still busy with the Experienced hires, plus the results of the..."
HR Head: (Interrupts) "Yes, but we should say something. What are our values again?"
HR Officer: Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity and Cari....oh! now I see your point sir. Ok, I'll do so sir.
HR Head: By the way, I heard some of them are so clever and are displaying some FBI skills. On that note, we didn't have this conversation. Infact, this meeting never happened. You understand?
HR Officer: "Which meeting sir?"
HR Head: (Smiling) "That's my boy".
HR Head: One more thing, send a congratulatory message to Forkaddict.
HR Officer: "Forkaddict? What kind of name is that? How can someone be addicted to....oohhh! Now I get it!
HR Head: "Get out of my office!"

Congrats Forkaddict!

Hope we aren't counting chickens here. Cos I remember dplacement vividly saying that not everybody that does medicals will eventually be taken.
Maguy, leave matter for Mathias and sabi for Sabinus. (Not in anyway referring to @dplacement).

We all have been counting chickens since time immemorial and this includes you.

After passing the WAEC test, at least you told a few people online or offline that you passed. What do you call that? - Counting chickens.

After passing the second test, it was common knowledge on here that you passed and were prepping for AC. What do you call that? - Counting chickens.

So bro, Ce qui sera sera (What will be will be). Regardless whether you count chickens or you count lions!

1. It's great to witness the success of a fellow comrade, congrats all the way @ forkadict. I really can't imagine how you cope with days now towards your medicals. It is a sign of goodies for GTs.
2. For US, I believe it may not go beyond the 12weeks after the last AC date i. e. Next week or 1st week of November. Comrades lets keep the hope & show understanding. The Best.
1. Many thanks bro. I really appreciate. I have waited over a year. With this medical thingy, coping with a few more months at the most will be child's play. Yeah I agree it is a sign of goodies for GTs

2. True. But I really can't blame those folks agitating for a feedback from NLNG. I perfectly understand how excruciating and draining the wait can be. Beside we as humans react to issues differently. Although technically speaking, the deadline has yet to elapse.

forkaddict congrats. can u share with us the emotion(s) you felt when u got the email. from first sighting the sender as NLNG to your digesting the content.

also when u r done with medicals please share.

u fit still use style style tell them say boys for street are complaining. boys o not GTs
Thanks so much bro.

Hmmm, it hasn't been easy. You know we have been interviewed over a year ago. And if I tell you that since the deadline of 3 weeks that we were told during the interview elapsed, I have been checking and refreshing my mail during office hours every ten minutes would you believe me? even though we have received a couple of mails from them, there hasn't really been anything concrete to hold on to.

Then fast forward to 20th October 2015. I was just a few minutes into a meeting that was supposed to last for an hour and half. Then, I just casually picked up my fone to conduct the routine check of mails. And then... ghen ghen, there the mail was. Titled Re: Feedback on interview session with NLNG bla bla bla. My heart just picked up pace. I clicked on the mail and read cos I wasn't really sure what the message was. But then, reading thru confirmed my biggest desire in recent years if not all my life.

After reading thru the mail, all I heard from then on till the end of the meeting was 'fahcdghsdgkljysdvkldvhvjkgjgdvkljhgcdklhjhgjksdjhgdjkghhgjkdshjhggjdhkhhjdjkhjksdghghjhgsdjkgdhsdhgjksdgjkhgsdhjgsdgkjhsjhgjksdghshgjklsdgjkghshsdfghsdgjkhgjsdfghjhsdjkhksdfgjkhjhgjksdhghkjhsdfgljkdhgjkhgjksdhlhdjkhsdkjghdjghklhgjksdfgjksdfhjkhjksdfghjklghjgsjhksdgjklsdgjklsdgjklsdgjkghjklghsdfjhgjkghjkhdfjhgjklghjkghjklghhkjksdfhsdfgjsdfhjkhjksdfdgsdfjyfuiouueruyoperyhsdlivioperioyhjksdvhguiueshuiehkyhwefuighwevuiyhkjbdvduihkhuihruihcjkhuihfuilfhjkghu.' And I just thank God, I wasn't asked any questions on proceedings. And you cant really blame me bro cos when NLNG talks, small companies SHUT THA FORK UP!

Immediately the meeting ended, I rushed to a secluded area to spend some quality time with God.

Of course, whatever happens after the medicals shall be shared.

Your third request shall also not be ignored.

I also agree that this email was sent simply to determine how many interested candidates they still have left to potentially employ. However, if I'm been positive I would have to consider what reason they could possibly have for doing a headcount at this time. It is most likely that they are gearing up for the next batch of experienced hire. Why else would they need to do a head count? Besides, there's a lot of chatter about train 7 recently so who knows... Just stay positive.

I also don't believe anyone has received invitation for medicals yet, but it will happen soon.
Funny enough, I can't challenge anything you've said up there. Funnier is even the fact that it lifted my spirit. The thought of this seeming never ending wait coming to an end is just exciting.

I am staying positive bro.

Guys, take some chill pills. Relax your nerves and forget about NLNG for the now. Come let's play, let's discuss some politics and entertainment. Have you heard, someone just bought a brand new luxury apartment in BI. How many years would you have to work in NLNG to save a billion naira? Make una chill! NLNG is a means to a better life, I agree but do you know that you, I mean YOU are the means to the best life you can live? So, make we chill.
How convenient!

Are you not the one currently in Shell? If not, please disregard this post. But if yes, maguy do not think you have been a part of the waiting game. You think I or many folks on here would be working in Shell and be bothered about how long it will take NLNG to get back to me/us on the outcome of an interview with themhuh

Please if they call anyone for Medical, let him 'Raise up his hands'
I haven't and I'm not sure anyone has recently been invited for medicals.

About the mail confirming availability and interest, I got the mail as well. But I am not excited by it. At this point, after waiting for over a year, only a substantive offer of employment can excite me. Or at least, invite for medicals. What I felt happened was that their management thought that 'Ok 6 months ago, we had X number of prospective employees on our waiting list. Let us confirm how many of them are still interested.'

For me, it was more like a headcount. Even tho, I wish to heaven I am wrong on this.

Person dey make comments jeje..some people say dem Don find new oracle. Oracle ko mamI-water ni.

At this stage guys can believe just about anything as long as d info bearer claims it s from a confirmed "sauce".

Anything posted here is not absolute, na just informa8 sharing. E fit be true e fit no be

Well what we heard this time is a bit scary. shocked

One of d sauce suggests it is not looking like d mails are dropping any time soon.

The other sauce says experience hire for now. GT LATER.

The same thing u may want to say: but not exactly. huh huh

MY HEART S WITH D LATTER. AND RIGHTLY SO IF IT S ANYTHING TO GO BY, someone said recently they just got back to him to know if he was still interested for d experience hire position

But I do sincerely hope they get back soon.

MY ADVICE: MY PEOPLE..NO TOO PUT MIND. IF d mails DROP GOOD AND FINE. THAT S WHAT WE V ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.
If you are a guy, I love you. No Homo.

If you are a chic, I love you more.

At this stage I believe just about anything as long as d info bearer claims it s from a confirmed "sauce" which you have.

Phew! It's over a year since we were interviewed with nothing really concrete in hand.

I appeal to the would be successful GTs in here. Or at least those that would be deployed to HR. Kindly revamp the existing recruitment process/procedure in NLNG. I cannot and can never understand why a recruitment exercise would last longer than two years, the crash in oil prices regardless. Perhaps I could if they were recruiting angels but for Christ's sake they are recruiting humans. Further, they are recruiting only Nigerians. It's not like the excercise was a global one.
