Blues name new assistant Emenalo promoted from head opposition scout Last updated: 18th November 2010 Chelsea have appointed Michael Emenalo as their new assistant first-team coach following the departure of Ray Wilkins. Wilkins made a shock exit from Stamford Bridge last week when the Blues opted not to renew his contract. Wilkins was a hugely respected figure among the playing staff and little explanation was given for the decision. But Chelsea have now filled the void by promoting Emenalo from his previous role of head opposition scout. The Nigerian was brought to the club by former boss Avram Grant in October 2007 and has worked closely with Carlo Ancelotti since he took charge last year. An official statement read: "Chelsea Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Emenalo to the position of Assistant First-Team Coach. He moves up from his previous position of Head Opposition Scout. Transition "Michael has been an important part of the first-team management structure since his arrival in October 2007, and his promotion to Assistant First-Team Coach is recognition of his efforts to date. "Michael will continue to oversee the first-team scouting operation as he makes the transition to coaching. "He will split the initial period between assisting First-Team Coach Carlo Ancelotti and updating his coaching qualifications as he takes on this bigger and more influential role." Ancelotti is also pleased with the appointment, adding: "Michael Emenalo is doing a fantastic job as head opposition scout and he is already working very close to me." Background Emenalo, 42, was a defender during his playing days and became known to Grant during their time at Maccabi Tel Aviv. He moved to the United States in 1986 where he graduated from Boston University three years later with a degree in international relations with political sciences, having also played college soccer. He also played in Belgium and Germany before winning the Anglo-Italian Cup with Notts County. He won 14 caps for Nigeria in total and played in the 1994 World Cup in the United States. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_6514517,00.html?utm_term=Sports+Live+News&utm_content=Sports+Live+News&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Sports+Live+News |
It was an average performance, Shittu, Okoro, Eneramo, Odiah and Otapke had a dismal performance. Not impressed with the substitutions made by Eguavon. My opinion, |

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mrs. Farida Waziri, is to be relieved of her appointment in the next one week. P.M.NEWS authoritatively gathered that a presidential directive to remove her from her position has been communicated to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke. The decision to sack Waziri, it was gathered, was not unconnected with pressures from foreign governments who accused her of not fighting corruption effectively. The foreign interests, P.M.NEWS gathered, recently forwarded a damaging dossier on the organisation and its officials to President Goodluck Jonathan. The foreign interest, P.M.NEWS gathered further, threatened not to cooperate with the Commission and withhold financial support for it if the Presidency refused to remove Waziri as the EFCC boss. On receiving the letter, President Jonathan reportedly forwarded it to the AGF and directed him to act within one week. Investigations revealed that pressures were mounted on President Jonathan by the foreign governments on the report or they will withhold their support for the fight against corruption in the country. P.M.NEWS glimpsed from the dossier sent to President Jonathan shows how an EFCC official bought 250,000 Pounds house in London and paid with hard currency. Presidency officials in Aso Rock Abuja, confirmed that two crack detectives are currently being considered to take over from Waziri. Those being considered are Mr. Tunde Ogunshakin and Ibrahim Lamorde. Both are former heads of operations of the Commission. The two officials, gathered, are currently being screened by security officials to determine the one best suited for the job. PM News at it again, This is not true, IMHO.

@Detective Sagamite: You are very correct, the falconets are way above 25yrs on average. So what do we do as patriots and men of integrity: 1) Call Police/FBI/CIA/KGB to get them arrested for cheating? 2) Petition FIFA about the age discrepancies, at least attach evidence. 3) Or better still, since FIFA couldn't detect the fraud it means either they are inefficient or they conspired to perpetrate the age fraud, so go take over Sepps job and sanitize FIFA. Abeg I no fit shout!!!!! ![]() |

Guus Hiddink's representative Cees van Nieuwenheizen has told KickOffNigeria.com exclusively that the Dutch coach would consider a pay cut in order to coach Nigeria, but said any move would only happen with the approval of the Russian Federation. "Guus is a loyal employee of the Russian Football Federation. He has a contract until July 15 and he never breaks a contract. If, and I say if because we have not been officially contacted by the Nigeria federation. "If we get such an offer, we will have to discuss with the Russian Federation and if there could be an agreement with the Russian federation, then Guus could consider the situation. "Currently there is a new president at the Russia Federation and we are talking about the future of after July 15, whether he stays or goes and that might change the situation a bit. "Already, he has received offers from other countries who want him to take them to the World Cup. One of them is North Korea. Guus did not want to go anywhere because he did not qualify Russia for the World Cup, but now with the new president, things might have changed." Hiddink currently earns an ear-bursting $8 million a year with Russia, but van Nieuwenheizen says if an agreement can be reached, Hiddink would countenance a significant reduction in those earnings. "If there could be the possibility of a cooperation with the Russian Football Federation to release Guus for 2010 World Cup, then if he will go with any country to South Africa, like in this instance Nigeria, then he cannot make the same money he is making in Russia because the financial situation of many federations in Africa is completely different. "There is no Mr Abramovich in Nigeria, so this is a sporting challenge that Guus would see as a great opportunity to be back on the highest platform of global football with a strong team such as Nigeria. "From that perspective, it could challenge him. Then he would go more for the sporting challenge than the financial challenge." NFF executive committee member Taiwo Ogunjobi, who is coordinating the head hunt for the Technical Adviser as chairman of the NFF's technical Committee, says all six coaches on the shortlist have been contacted. But van Nieuwenheizen says the only contact he has received regarding the Nigeria job was an email last weekend from football agent John Shittu. "I am now talking to somebody representing the media, I have not been in contact with anybody from the Nigeria Football Federation. We received an email from somebody in London, a Mr John Shittu with a number to call. I do not call the number. "If there is somebody from the Nigeria Football Federation interested, they should call me, then I will tell them the same story that I am telling you. "We are not in a position to take any initiative because we have not received any formal contact and Guus is not looking for a job. "I only want to talk to somebody from the Nigeria federation, if they are interested. Under the circumstances we cannot do anything. "I do not consider that as an offer. My number is available and they can contact me, same as you did. If they want to talk to Guus, they can call, but I do not call a number of anybody I do not know. "A lot of people call and claim to be from Nigeria and we cannot talk to anybody. But if somebody calls and says he is the President or the General Secretary, then we can speak to the Russia federation and we can find a solution." Shittu, who also manages Joseph Yobo and John Mikel Obi, admitted to KickOffNigeria.com that he did indeed contact the Hiddink camp. "Yes, we sent him the email and we are representing the Nigeria Football Federation in these negotiations," he said. "We believe that Hiddink is the kind of man who will bring discipline, organisation and the right tactics to the Super Eagles." KickOffNigeria.com also understands that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who finances Hiddink's Russia wages, will not stand in the way of the coach if he decides to make the Nigeria move. A final shortlist of three is expected to be submitted to the NFF executive committee before the end of the month, but van Nieuwenheizen says he is uncertain if a resolution can be reached with the Russia federation in such a short time. "I don’t think we can find a solution in the next few days. The new president came in last week, Guus had one discussion with him and then they went to Poland for the Euro 2012 draws. "They will speak again, but I do not think it will be possible to find a solution quickly." http://www.kickoff.com/2010/news/13813/guus-hiddink-ready-to-take-pay-cut.php NFF at it again!!! Enough of these embarassments. |
Niger_d:Michael Kaase Aondoakaa (born June 12, 1962 in Benue, Nigeria) is Nigerias justice minister since 2007.[1] Michael Kaase Aondoakaa was born June 12, 1962 in Benue. He attended the University of Maiduguri, where he studied law. He became a senior partner of a law firm for 18 years. While helping two of his friends, Ogiri Ajene, former deputy governor of Benue State and Professor Daniel Saror to secure nomination for ministerial appointment, he was invited to meet President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, and during the interview was offered the post of Attorney General.[1] He was appointed Minister of Justice on 26 July 2007. He was a member of a sub-committee to review the report of Justice Mohammed Uwais committee on electoral reform. The sub-committee assisted in producing a white paper which sparked controversy because it reversed some recommendations of the Uwais committee. It recommended that the President continue to appoint the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), among other changes. He opposed sacking Maurice Iwu, chairman of INEC, despite criticism of Iwo's conduct of the 2007 elections. He objected to the dissolution of local governments in Ondo State by Olusegun Mimiko, the new governor, although a High Court in Ondo supported the action.[1] References 1. ^ a b c Tobs Agbaegbu and Anza Philips (29 March 2009).
