Nigeria is, probably, the only country in the world where citizens feel a sense of entitlement demanding for Forex from the government. Nobody is saying Nigerians should not send their wards abroad for foreign education, what the government is saying is that the available dollars is so small that they cannot meet most forex demand anymore (including school fees). Nigerians who need dollars for school fees should source it elsewhere outside government Reserves. That's exactly how I source dollars for my personal use. Nobody should feel more entitled to access official forex more than others. The government should be allowed to prioritize as it fits their economic & developmental agenda.

To be honest, I still don't know why banks don't covert at the official rate used by CBN. There was a question about this issue on nairlan a while ago and no one knew the answer. Try calling the bank to find out.

Was happy with him until he said an all female university. What is wrong with Islam? This religion tends to block a part of their brain. Why must they insist on separation of women and men? In the real world, women and men are not separated but work side by side with each other. If he builds an all female university, what about an all male university? Why must you say made in aba? What about made in Nigeria. Innoson is a Nigerian product not an ibo product. Innoson enjoys the market potential of Nigeria. The point here is label products as made in nigeria rather name made in whatever ethnic group. The success of one ethnic group is a success to Nigeria as a whole. They have some checking mechanism that they have im place for Nigerians to Nigeria. No one knows how this selective checking mechanism works. Yes, there are cases of people paying online successfully and the are cases of people required to pay in person. In my case after I paid in person, I was able to pay online for subsequent flights. I was using a new debit card, maybe that was why I was blocked.

Happened to me before. Wanted to take BA flight from London to Nigeria. No amount of explanation made them change their mind. Had to take 3hrs journey to their London office to pay using my Uk registered debit card.This whole country Nigeria is a mess. If you travel outside Nigeria, u will see that Nigeria is a joke. Nigerias like other humans are the way they are due to scarcity of resources. Any time there is a train strike in London, people will jump the barriers, chaos sets in. There is also chaos during black friday sales. Majority Nigeria are poor or just able.to eat to survive. You are probably among the criminals bubari talked about. Well, If Nigeria was an all christian country, I feel we will not have the problem of Boko Haram. I am yet to hear of a christian country still fighting in name of religion. While many will argue that boko haram is not islamic, others will point out that boko haram derives their principles from the koran. The point is that without Islam, there will be no boko haram, there won't be Umaru Abdul Mutallab - underwear bomber and Nigeria might have hosted her first miss world pageant.

Because of this association with boko haram brought by Islam, Nigeria is labelled as a terrorist nation by most countries. While those of you who haven't left Nigeria may find it difficult to see how Nigeria is perceived by other nations, others who have left Nigeria can give you first hand experience. It is difficult to get security clearance to be employed in certain areas because you are a terrorist Nation. Many countries extend visa on arrival to other countries but Nigeria is exempted and grouped with Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Egypt. You many point out that drug dealers and scammers also give Nigerians a bad name, but the issue of boko haram is most significant.

So, while Buhari can go ahead and say that Nigerians are criminals, he should not forget that because of his religion, Islam, Nigeria is unofficially recognized as a terrorist nation by most countries. His holier than thou mentality should stop.

I just want to find out why Nigeria or should I say black are still underdeveloped. What's the problem. I mean what is so difficult in planing a city and sticking to the plan. London of 1930 had street lights with underground wiring system already in place. The roads were well built with sidewalks for pedestrians. In Nigeria, roads are built with no sidewalks, why haven't Nigerian civil enginners thought about adding side walks to road. Small issues like this speaks a lot about our Nation, Nigeria. Look at BVN or MTN sim registration. The crowd management is zero. If it were western countries, the crowd will be well controlled and stress free.

I feel London of 1930 was better than Nigeria of now. The level of planing and organisation around 1930 makes one wonder what is wrong with Nigeria. If London had this level of development in 1930 which in my opinion was better than what is present in Nigeria today then we have a long long way to go. I am not expecting Nigeria to go to the moon or build the fastest train in the world, but at least we should have a level of organisation in this country.

One can't be sure of quality of Nigeria products including health and safety assurance.. I mean ordinary made in Nigeria coke drink is bottled with rusty bottlle. Yet u want me to trust and buy Nigerian products. There are stories of fish injected with cancer causing growth hormones. No effort from government to ensure that manufacturers are sticking to safe practices

Nigeiran Military is useless. I mean they could not defeat the Militants of Niger delta. there were situations in which foreign companies had to hire their security and buy tanks for the nigerian military yet they were useless. Always seeking help from foreign countries on training.

in other developed countries. police will have special people to handel this. but in Nigeria the govt abandons you to your faith. this country sucka and stinks
