Kobojunkie:Because one can sin in one's thoughts. God said about humans that the thoughts of their heart are always bad all the time, and this doesn't refer only to adults. One has to be inclined towards disobedience before committing it. The Bible says in Colossians 1:21 that we are viewed by God as enemies because of our hearts being bent towards evil. |
Kobojunkie:My point exactly, young man ![]() When one returns to dust, he returns to a state of unconsciousness, he ceases to exist. Moreover, if there really were a hell of torment, would not God have told that to Adam? Also, you are the one who spoke of hell and eternal damnation. What do you suppose that to mean? Granted, you said nothing about the lake of fire being literal, but since everyone usually use the lake of fire as justification for a hell of eternal damnation, I thought you interpreted that lake literally as well. Sorry about that. It's good to know we’re on common ground in that issue of the lake of fire being symbolic. I would rather we end on good terms, so I wish to end my reply here. |
maasoap:Of course many Nigerian are mentally ill, just as many Nigerians are physically ill. The same is true in many nations in the world. Whoever is dealing with extreme and intense bouts of sadness, thoughts of suicide, are mentally ill. I don't know why mental illness is viewed so negatively. That's why more and more people are committing suicide on a daily basis. I am not mentally ill, nor am I physically ill. I am healthy both in mind and in body. |
Shantyken:In some respects, Christians are called to be like children (humility, willingness to learn, impartiality) In other respects, Christians are urged not to be like children (gullibility as in Ephesians 4:14, etc) |
idrisaleo1:True. Some of what you said is indeed absurd and illogical, because the Bible doesn't really teach them. However, God doesn't punish a child for the error of their parents exactly. Notice the expression “in the case of those hating me,” showing that a measure of personal accountability is involved. If one chooses to hate Jehovah, to disobey his laws, just as his evil forebears did, then the punishment meted on his forefathers will be carried out also on him. If, on the other hand, he chooses to love God and pursue him, the favor extended to his righteous forefathers will be granted also to him. They will only be viewed through the lens of their parents’ character if they are too young to know right and wrong; that is because, as you also likely know, chances are they will turn out like their parents, for two reasons: • nature (children inherit some personality traits from parents) and • nurture (children will naturally want to imitate their parents, and parents will naturally teach their children to be like them) |
Kobojunkie:I believe that it is for the following reasons: Both Job 14:10-12 and Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 tells us that death is a state of unconsciousness, just like sleep. 2 Thessalonians 1:8, 9 tells us that what await the wicked is everlasting destruction. Revelation speaks of the lake of fire, but chapter 20:14 lets us know that it is symbolic in two ways: (1) death and grave are to be hurled there. Should something as abstract as death and grave into a literal lake of fire? What good will it serve? Will death undergo torment? Will the grave? (2) the lake of fire is the second death is to be understood in the same way as Revelation 1:29 which says that the seven lampstands are the seven congregations. No one thinks that it refers to literal lampstands, so why should anyone think that Revelation 20:14 means a literal lake of fire? Isaiah 34:9, 10 uses the same symbolism to mean complete devastation and destruction. And this understanding is in line with the rest of the scriptures which tells us that the dead are unconscious and unaware. But the understanding of a literal lake of fire is incompatible with verses such as Jeremiah 7:31. |
Kobojunkie:The inclination of the heart of man is bad ‘from his youth’ up. In Genesis 8:21, God made that statement: every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. (NIV) everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. (NLT) In fact, this was the very reason God decided to destroy that world with a flood, because all the thoughts of the human heart was only bad all the time. (even the seemingly good thought are rendered bad because of the underlying selfish motives behind those thoughts) |
Kobojunkie:Okay, then, so (1) what did Jesus mean when he said “from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachaiah, . . . all these things will come upon this generation?” (2) what did Jehovah mean when he said that he brings punishment from error of fathers upon sons and upon grandsons? |
Dtruthspeaker:It's interesting to hear your perspective on this issue. Okay, now think of this: every child demonstrates selfishness, greed, and envy, leading them to sometimes beat up one another. Some might see these traits as cute, but in reality they are proof that everyone is born guilty of sin. Recall that both Romans 3:23 and 5:12 speaks actively where it says that “all have sinned.” Seeing that even wrong thoughts is a sin against God (as seen in the 10th commandment God gave to Israel), children are not free from guilt. |
YorubaDemonswag:It's okay, you can say whatever you want to om the matter. For the most part, our view of leniency and strictness has been molded by the society in which we grew. God's own view might be slightly different, thus we might be inclined to disagree with it. Continuing the illustration, God has arranged for Jesus to pay the substitutionary price for what Adam lost, ‘to get an exact replica of what was damaged,’ so as to free us from hereditary sin and its effects of sickness, aging, and death—making it possible for ALL humans to one again to be completely sound in mind and body, enjoying perfect health and everlasting life. He made this arrangement because he felt great pity for us who, although we didn't commit the original sin, yet share in bearing its consequences.—Romans 5:14. The real monster is the one who KNOWINGLY plunged humans into this situation, i.e, the Devil. |
Kobojunkie:Romans 5:12 tells us that sin entered into “the world” through one man. So, the whole world is implicated here, not just Israel. Israel's case was special because the Law, with all its sacrifices and gift offerings, was specifically designed to reveal to them their hereditary sinfulness. While other nations had no Law to reveal such to them, it doesn't make them any less born into sin. It simply means that they are NOT AWARE of their hereditary sinfulness. God didn't revoke any decree. What he said in Ezekiel 18 was quite same thing he said in Deuteronomy 24:16, that a child should not suffer for his parent's sin. However, bringing punishment for ones errors to their generations is an integral part of who Jehovah is, and that is why when describing himself, his name, his very being, he said those words. (Exodus 34:5-7) However, as Exodus 20:5, 6 shows, God will only act this way if these descendants continue in the hateful ways of their forebears. But if they set a new record of faithfulness, they out their descendants in line to be shown mercy, provided they continue in the same path of faithfulness. Compare what Jesus said in Matthew 23:31, 32: “therefore, you are testifying against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Well, then, fill up the measure of your forefathers.” Reading down to verse 36, we see that judgment for all the wickedness done by previous generations against God's prophets will come upon that generation because it was also a wicked generation. This is the same principle at play. As to where others go who sin, those who were never born again, I am deliberately not commenting on it because we do not believe the same concepts in this matter. For example, I believe that the destiny of the dead is nonexistence. Only if God chooses to resurrect the individual, either because of the individual’s good record or because of God's own mercy, will they come back to life. If not, they will remain forever unconscious. |
Dtruthspeaker:Did God make any law about a child under 7 not being responsible? I find nothing to that conclusion anywhere in the Bible, except that one begomes responsible as soon as he knows how to do what is right.—James 4:17; Proverbs 20:11 says something similar too. However, to reply your post, why do you think God commanded in Ezekiel 9:5, 6 that everyone should be killed, including the ‘little children’? |
Kobojunkie:True, the Purification applied only as far as those descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but the Law of Moses was meant to expose us all as sinners, and the repeated sacrifices for sins instilled that sin consciousness. The Purification may not be done by us today, but isn't it STILL true that we are all sinners from the moment of conception? Remember, Jesus' death only saves those who believe in him. Infants are too young to believe in Jesus as a genuine expression of faith, so it seems that God will judge them on the basis of their parents’ standing. This seems to harmonize with what God says, that he brings the punishment for the error of fathers upon sons in the case of those hating him, but shows mercy to the thousandth generation of those loving him. |
FRANCISTOWN:Of course Paul believed that Jesus walked the earth. For instance, see Hebrews 1:6 speaks of God bringing his firstborn into the earth. Hebrews 2:14 says that Jesus shared in “blood and flesh.” Hebrews 5:7 speaks of the days of his flesh. Hebrews 10:5 speaks of when Jesus came into the world. Philippians 2:5, 6 speaks of Jesus' emptying his heavenly nature and becoming human. Galatians 4:4 speaks of Jesus being “born of a woman.” As for your other question? It seems that Paul was appealing to a basic truth and using it as a principle to support what he was saying. Humans die only once for all time for their sins. So too, Jesus took our sins upon himself once for all time. He will not do it again. Thus, the second time he appears, it will be apart from sin. |
Kobojunkie:I posted that example of Moses, and the purification requirement in the Law, to show that all humans are by nature at enmity with God (even newborn babies are at enmity with God by nature), and so everyone has been sentenced to death from the moment of conception. In other words, don't expect babies to go to a place of special favour because they haven't sinned. They inherited the condition of sin, and they go to the same place where all who sin go. |
It is interesting that you posted this. Okay! Let me hope that it is a genuineness that you posted this. Here is my defense: the second time that he appears . . . , and he will be seen by those earnestly looking for him for their salvation. —Hebrews 9:28; NWT unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time . . . unto salvation. —Hebrews 9:28; KJV Notice that at Jesus will appear, not to all, but only “unto them that look for him.” It is true that the Bible does say that every eye will see him when he comes. But notice that ‘comes’ can refer to one of the things. A person can “come” when he enters the room, on the other hand he can “come” when he takes action (ex: ‘you have come again o! better behave yourself,’ etc) Since Luke 17:20 says that God's Kingdom is not coming “with striking observeableness,“ (“with observation”; KJV) and also John 14:19 says that the world will see Jesus “no more,” it seems apparent that a visible majestic display is not what we're looking for. Yes, it will happen, as Revelation 1:7 says, but first Jesus will come into kingdom power. That aspect of his coming will be discerned only by those looking unto him. But when he comes to judge all nations, this will be discerned by everyone. I don't know if what I wrote here made much sense to you? Not whether you think it's correct or not. First of all, do you understand what I'm implying, can you understand the sense of my argument? Let's start from there. |
Let us remember these: (1) God was going to kill Moses' child because he wasn't circumcised. It was when Zipporah hurriedly circumcised him that God's anger was tempered. (2) A woman who had just given birth to a baby was to observe a period of uncleanness, and to give a sin offering. Really, no one is innocent in God's eyes. Children has sin imputed into them as a condition they were born into. Imagine that I destroyed something very antique and probably one of the last remaining of its kinds, plunging my entire household into debt and servitude to the government—until an exact replica of what was damaged can be found and put in place of the original. Any child born to me will automatically be born into servitude and debt, through no fault of their own though. Much the same way that some diseases are caused by genetic defects, and are passed down filial generations. It is the same way. Every baby is an offspring of Adam and as such is a born into the condition of sin. If a child dies before he is able to know right from wrong, what God will do is that he will view the child through the lens of the parents’ righteous/unrighteous condition. After all, all things being equal, every child is born with some personality traits inherited from each parent, and so it is prefectly reasonable to conclude that, all things being equal, a child will be like his parents not only in appearance but also in behavior. Remember the judgment passed down in Ezekiel 9:5, 6, where Jehovah told his executioners that they should destroy every one in that bloodguilty city, including “little child.” |
Kolena:Hi, Kolena. How are you doing? Reach out to me, okay? |
Snakedoctor1:That verse is to be understood in the context of other related verses: (1) God told Abraham that he will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. (2) God told the Israelites that he will punish the evil descendants of their evil forefathers, but will show mercy to those who love him, and to their descendants if they too keep loving him. The basic idea is that God doesn't have to explain to us a reason for his actions. He alone has all the facts, and he always acts in harmony with complete justice. If we feel like an injustice is being done, it is because there are things we are failing to consider, things that will make us agree with God's actions if we had considered them. But he is under no obligation to tell us what those things are as if he had to justify his actions. What we have come to know from his Word should be enough to convince us that he never acts unjustly. In all the vast universe, numerous are the things requiring God's involvement besides giving his attention to this comparatively tiny earth. Better it is for us to understand our place in his arrangement, cooperate with it, and trust in him to do what is right. Thus, to urge us not be unduly worried about what is of no concern to us personally, God tells us that he will show mercy and compassion to whomever he wishes to. |
I see a lot of posts about ulcers here on Nairaland, and I feel I should speak and say what I know. I am not saying I am the most knowledgeable on the subject, but I know a few things that can help those suffering from this condition. First of all, if you like what you read, like and share to assist others. And contact Franel Natural Health Services through our contact ID below. Peptic ulcers (stomach, duodenal, esophageal ulcers) are ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract. Other ulcers affecting the digestive tract include ulcerative colitis—I don't know why it isn't classified under peptic ulcers when it seems like it is after all. Peptic ulcers isn't caused by eating peppery, or spicy foods. Actually, No. But they can aggravate the symptoms in those who ALREADY have the disease. So what causes peptic ulcers? For one thing, as we grow older, we are more likely to get peptic ulcers as a consequence of aging process and bodily malfunctioning. Besides that, the intake of painkillers can lead to ulcers overtime. Here's how it works: painkillers work by inhibiting the production of a substance called prostaglandins. However, this substance works to protect the stomach from acid produced when we eat. So, when it's production is inhibited, not only will we feel less pain, but our stomach will be exposed to the stomach acids when we eat, and when this is done repeatedly, it will lead to ulcer formation. These things mean that “stomach ulcers get worse when we eat.” IT IS DUODENAL ULCERS THAT GET BETTER WHEN WE EAT because of the alkaline fluid the pancreas releases along with the pancreatic enzyme, to aid food digestion. Women are more likely to get ulcers than men because women are very likely to use strong painkillers during menstruation. Another reason we might use painkillers is after exercise. Another thing that can cause peptic ulcers is stress. So, let us learn to live a calm and quiet slow-paced life, not a hectic one. Remember, your boss or your teacher or whoever it is that is requiring you to hurry WILL NOT face the consequences of living a stressful life. YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WILL. Life is not a sprint, it is a marathon. The greatest minds in this life didn't achieve greatness overnight. It was a slow, long process of taking two steps forward and one step backward, of learning to stand again when they fall. It is said that it takes 10,000 hours of work, or 7 years, for one to achieve true expertise in his niche. Now, whether that is true or not, one thing remains true: THE ONLY PERSON IN CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH IS YOURSELF. GIVE IT PRIORITY. We at FRANEL NATURAL HEALTH SERVICES have remedies available for ulcers and also have painkiller remedies that comes with no side effects. Thanks for reading. Wish you a good health. |

aurecia:With all due respect, please read this message without animosity. Chances are that the malignancy will go on its own, that the immune system will recognize it and destroy it completely, but those chances are very slim. In other words, it does happen but ‘super super rarely’ would be an overstatement. Jesus said: ‘those who are ill need a physician,’ showing that it is the right move, in fact, to seek medical help if you can rather than just sit and expect things to happen. On this note, I have an interesting observation. It happened over and over again in the Bible where God doesn't necessarily stop a person from making a decision, even as he won't shield them from the undesirable consequences of such decisions. He didn't stop Abraham from giving in to Sarah's so-called advice to sleep with Hagar and get a son from her, but he made it clear 14 years later that his offspring will come through Isaac. He also didn't stop Ishmael from persecuting Isaac. True, it hurt Sarah and put a strain on their marriage, but it resulted from a faulty decision on their part. He didn't stop Joseph's brothers from selling Joseph and lying to Jacob, didn't stop Jacob from mourning over a person that was not dead. He kept working out his purpose until the time came for Jacob and his other sons to see that Joseph wasn't dead, i.e, 20 years later. He didn't stop David from killing Uriah, or from taking Bathsheba as his wife, but he didn't shield him from the undesirable consequences of that either. He didn't stop Hezekiah from showing the Babylonian ambassadors all the treasures of Israel, although that action resulted in whetting the greed of the Babylonians so that they began to set Jerusalem and her treasures as their future target. Generally, He has given us the Bible and a conscience to help direct and guide us. In view of that, and in respect of our free will, He doesn't necessarily step into a decision we make, nor is he obliged to. We make it, and we stand up to its consequences. He will help us, sure, but each man will bear his load. Now, in light of this, let us examine the above again: Chances are that the malignancy will go on its own, that the immune system will recognize it and destroy it completely, but those chances are very slim. In other words, it does happen but ‘super super rarely’ would be an overstatement. Jesus said: ‘those who are ill need a physician,’ showing that it is the right move, in fact, to seek medical help if you can rather than just sit and expect things to happen. |
Hello, and good day. I am a representative of FRANEL NATURAL HEALTH SERVICES, and here are a few facts about cancer: Cancer is a dreaded disease and is a top killer disease. It is caused by genetic defect (some genes such as DNA repair gene and tumor suppressor gene are responsible for preventing cancerous growth and formation. But when these genes are defective, there will be no protective mechanisms against cancers) Cancers can take up to 10 years to form and become evident, and cancers that get treated might recur within the space of 10 years post-treatment. Everyone will get cancer if we grow old enough for the simple reason that the more we age, the more our bodies are likely to malfunction in some way. Breast cancers, Cervical cancers, Colon cancers, and Prostate cancers are the most common form of cancers in Nigeria. What makes cancers likely to form? Exposing yourself to harmful radiations: Up to 22 CT scans is enough to slowly lead to cancer, excessive sun radiations can cause skin cancer. Certain genes such as BRCA 1 and 2 genes predisposes one to get breast cancers as well as ovarian and colon cancers. This triad is called Lynch syndrome, or HNPCC (hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer). That's why it's good to look into your family, your first-degree and second-degree relatives, when looking at your risk/cause of cancer, especially if there is a common chain of either breast, colon, or ovarian cancers among them. Cigarettes smokes contain several carcinogens and can easily lead to lung and/or bladder cancers overtime. Cancers, once formed, can easily spread to other parts of the body especially the breasts, the bones, the liver, and the lungs. Cancers spread through the bloodstream and through the lymphatics. It can also spread through contact with the peritoneum, and through contact with other organs as it grows. There's more that can be said, but let's move on to the better news: FRANEL NATURAL HEALTH SERVICES has been curing cancers and will keep curing cancers during the years to come. In fact, we are a CANCER TREATMENT CLINIC. At an affordable price, one can get treatment going and get completely treated within 2 years, although the length of treatment depends a lot on how much the cancer has progressed. What is more, we give a discount to those who refer others to us for treatment. We call it ‘referral discount.’ To learn more, please contact us @ the contact details below. We can have an interesting conversation in the comment section.

Kolena:First of all, I am sorry to hear this. How are things going? Also, have a look at this pic attached to this text. It has been a while since you put up this post, and I don't know if you have found a solution yet. But If you haven't, rest assured Cancer is something we have been treating, and will continue to treat. The length of treatment will depend on the stage of the disease, how far it has spread. Complete treatment might take as long as 2 years, but treatment is reasonably certain. Once again, how are you doing? Please reach out to me via my email, let's talk there: franelclinic@gmail.com

Perhaps first I may have to tell you how and why this works: FRANEL NATURAL HEALTH SERVICES treats Cancers (we also treat strokes, emphysema, and heart and kidney diseases, but I don't want to digress) and have been doing so for several years now. We use herbs to effect healing. Using herbs to treat cancers is well-known, although not to many. For example, the Vinca Alkaloid chemotherapy drug is gotten from the red periwinkle plant, and the stem bark of the African Mahogany tree is an anti-cancer agent, to mention a few. The stem bark of the African Mahogany tree is just one of the active ingredients in our cancer drugs. There are others, and each one of them is powerfully effective for the specific type of cancer we are dealing with. Sometimes, the Cancer has affected the part of the body soo much that the outer flesh is eaten up. At this point, we use a drug that helps those affected cells to rebuild and regrow—slowing the progression of the cancer. This drug will be taken together with the original anti-cancer drug. With full cooperation of the patient, evidence of healing will be seen from the first month onward. Up until now, FRANEL NATURAL HEALTH SERVICES have treated Nephroblastomas (Wilms’ tumor—a type of kidney cancer that affects children usually 3yrs and below), Breast cancers, Brain cancers, Lung cancers, Lymphomas, Cervical cancers, and Colon cancers. Ask me for more enquiries!

OgaNightmare:It's alright. I'll not only provide direct answers but also supply you with references either from secular sources or from religious (non-Witnesses) sources. That being said, check out my signature below. |
OgaNightmare:That's what I'm saying. You refuse to cite any scripture that we ‘misinterpret.’ You just make claims that we misinterpret scriptures without citing any as an example to prove your point. In any case, it's good that you don't have time for this discussion, lest this should turn into a keyboard cold war. |
OgaNightmare:It is interesting that our opposers aren't willing to analyse our interpretation of the scriptures. And that's because they know that we know the scriptures. All they do, as you're now doing, is make vague statements of how we are “falsifiers”, etc. OgaNightmare:If it looks like a bird, then, without any compelling evidence to the contrary, we have warrant to conclude it's a bird. |
Hello, fellow nairalanders. It's me again. This time, I'm not informing you on diseases but on health tips. You're probably wondering what ESL means. If you are, no worries. It will be revealed shortly. Now, although I'm talking about your physical health, plying these tips can boost your emotional health as well because, as research shows, the mind and the body are incredibly connected to each other (did you know that a stroke patient who has lost the ability to communicate with his left hand can simply place his right hand in front of a mirror and, moving it hither-and-thither while looking into the mirror, cause his brain to restore connections to his left hand?—if you don't understand what I said, we can talk more on the comment section) So, ESL stands for EAT, SLEEP, EXERCISE. Without further ado, let's dive in! 1) EAT: Who commanded us to eat 3 times a day anyway? It seems to have sprung up during the 18th century as a result of an economic boom. But for several centuries before that, many nations have been content eating just twice daily. Anyway, while there is nothing wrong with eating three times a day, overeating can cause insulin insensitivity and resistance, paving the way to type 2 diabetes mellitus*—if interested in knowing, ask me how in the comment section. Some people are trying to combat this by eating twice a day, (intermittent fasting) others by fasting once a week, and still others by fasting twice a week We know the six classes of food to be carbohydrates, proteins, fats & oil, vitamins, minerals, water. Now, here are the six classes of healthy food: Whole-grain carbohydrates Lean protein Low-fat dairy Fruits Vegetables Water Now, those with peptic ulcers will of course want to adjust how they eat. One suggestion is to eat smaller portions of food more often. Those seeking to watch their weight can/should drink about 50cl water before eating, and replace half the portion of their food with fruits/vegetables. Long story short, food is very important. And instead of counting calories, either (1) stop when you're satisfied, or (2) if you're seeking to lose weight, replace half your portion of food with fruits/vegetables. (2) SLEEP: Sleep is very important. For example, it is during sleep that memories are consolidated, and concentration is improved afterwards. Thus, depriving yourself of sleep sabotages your efforts to learn. There are other benefits of sleep. For example, our immune system needs 7 hours of sleep if it must function properly. Losing sleep can also contribute to type 2 diabetes mellitus* as well. (3) EXERCISE: This is for everyone, not just for those looking for big muscles. Generally, if you live an active lifestyle, you might be getting enough exercise—depending on how active your lifestyle is. But if you live a sedentary lifestyle, you need exercise to keep fit. Gone should be the days when being fat and overweight is highly valued, since research showing the dangerous effects that excess weight has on our organ systems. Anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes of moderately-to-extremely intense exercise twice a week to everyday will be needed, depending on how active your lifestyle already is. Plus, exercise is a great way to increase insulin sensitivity, decrease insulin resistance, and even as-good-as reverse type 2 diabetes. P.S.>>>>> Living a sedentary lifestyle can increase your risk of certain forms of cancers, while regular exercise can even increase your liver health and the lung capacity in those with emphysema for instance. *This disease, along with all others mentioned here, are treated @ FRANEL NATURAL HEALTH CLINIC. Up until December 2, 2022, there is a 70% discount from all our medicines. Request your order, and the medicines will be shipped to your desired location. |
jerryforgood:First of all, bro, having a wedding at a marriage registry isn't very expensive at all, if ‘cheap but quality’ is what you're looking for. Secondly, using absolute expressions like “all women,” and “every single lady” sounds like you've been dealt with badly and have allowed that to harden you. I'm not going to prove you wrong here, just because I assume you ALREADY know that you're wrong. |
