The GhanaSat-1―Ghana’s first satellite―began its orbit recently, with a little help from some friends.

The cubesat , built by a Ghanaian engineering team at All Nations University , was delivered to NASA’s International Space Station in June on a SpaceX rocket that took off from pad 39a at Kennedy Space Center, a NASA spokesperson confirmed.

The GhanaSat-1 deployed into orbit from the Center in July, and is now operational, according to project manager Richard Damoah, a Ghanaian professor and assistant research scientist at NASA.

“This particular satellite has two missions,” Damoah told TechCrunch. “It has cameras on board for detailed monitoring of the coastlines of Ghana. Then there’s an educational piece―we want to use it to integrate satellite technology into high school curriculum,” he said.

GhanaSat-1 will send a signal to a ground station at All Nations University’s Space Systems and Technology Laboratory. That’s where it was developed by a team of engineers that included Benjamin Bonsu, Ernest Teye Matey , and Joseph Quansah.

Very nice story, Souloho19. I especially like what you are doing with the Deacon character. I'd like to think that I already know who the 'devil' is but I am hoping for a pleasant surprise.

However, I would rather have such an engaging story not narrated in the omniscient POV. It limits depth, ambiguity and emotional conflicts.

Fantasy is quite difficult to write and mythology requires a lot of research. Are you sure you want to delve into that?

Your story holds a lot of promise but it is a bit untidy.

Please, add double paragraphs to separate the dialogues from the rest of the story. Makes it easier to read that way.

This technology could do that. It has been in existence for long. Brazil is using it to fight Zika virus too.

About the other day, I visited the registration point in My Local Government and was pleased to see the number of persons eagerly pushing to have themselves registered.

Also, encouraging is the assurance from INEC that the registration will still move to Ward Level.

Come November 18, ndị Anambra will vote to Keep Willie Working!

I tried to register more than 4 times but the crowd was impossible. The office had only 4 computers to attend to an entire local government.

I just gave up on the process.

Catalonia will declare independence from Spain within 48 hours if voters back secession in an October referendum, according to a draft bill proposed by secessionist parties on Tuesday, though it remains unclear whether the vote will go ahead.

Spain's Constitutional Court and the conservative government in Madrid have blocked previous secessionist challenges and the government has said it will block any further attempt to hold a referendum.

According to the bill, written jointly by the parties which favor secession, the referendum will pose a binary question asking voters whether they want Catalonia, a wealthy region in northeastern Spain, to become an independent nation.
