How could you say most Nigerian girls are like that when you have not even met 1 percent of them?

Ehn?
What does it matter if I say thanks?
So what if I'm from a poor home?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, I was just curious. A good number of wealthy people around the world came from poor backgrounds.

Thanks for sharing this.
People generalize a lot, forgetting that there are always exceptions.
In the end,it all boils down to home training and exposure.
Why did you say thanks? Are you from a poor home?

Guys from poor home feel unnecessarily entitled too, why guys from Rich home are very appreciative and supportive. My experience.
Well I know guys from super rich homes - especially in Nigeria - believe money can buy them anything. Do guys really feel entitled whether rich or poor since they are usually the ones providing material things?

Overseas, we see videos of patients in isolation centres.

I want them to show us videos of Nigerians in isolation centres here in Nigeria

Imagine only one person is left in that isolation centre. How is he being treated?

Nope. We all started about the same time. Today they are where they are while we are where we are.

Had the Coronavirus been able to hit us it is currently hitting them, by now, we would all have been dead.

The best precaution to take (and which should have been taken from the onset) is to prevent foreigners and returnee Nigerians from entering the country.
We did not start the same time. The first confirmed cases in both the US and Italy were in January. Africa in general is the last to be hit by the virus. I suspect the government delayed shutting the border because some of them and their family members were outside the country.

The Chinese medics that arrived are only treating CCECC staff, and not the general population....
However, since they also brought along donated ventilators and other equipment for Nigeria, they will also help with operational training.

That’s the entire extent of their mission in Nigeria.
>
I know. I was just referring to the person that said they are here to test harmful vaccines on Nigerians.

This is one of the reason i said that African don't think outside the box.

Which company is currently ruining the vaccine trails in US? it's Melinda and Bill gate foundation
and Australia are still on chloroquine trial on animals.

so china is on their own trial here, take it or leave it. grin

stay safe.
China has supposedly tested their vaccine on 108 people in their country and more people are volunteering according to 9jaRealist. So what exactly is your issue with human trials here?

Avalancheman:
How can you compare Nigeria (7 deaths) with America and Italy (thousands) huh
They both started with fewer deaths. People in America called it a mild version of the flu. Italians simply ignored social distancing advice. We are lucky not to have had a bigger number of infected travellers coming into the country.

Not quite...
A trial only this week on ONE human.

In contrast, China had Phase 1 human trials (108 persons) in March...
And has moved on to Phase 2, with volunteers presently being signed up.
>
Thank you. So, imagine China that has tested on their people and with volunteers already lined up, bringing resources and logistics to Nigeria just because.

Truly, we do have Covid-19 in Nigeria but i dont believe these new cases that keeps rising everyday. It all a hoax, they should show us patients on TV and blur their faces to prevent stigimitization. Thats why people in the grassroot do not believe in this virus.
Italians and especially Americans said this same exact thing.

China has nothing to offer us and we should keep away from them as soon as possible but the problem with Africans is they only see in black and white.

15 Chinese are already in Nigeria to test their Convid-19 Vaccine on the poor people without anyone checking their motives in Nigeria.

As of today's report total death toll in US hits 16,715 and fatalities increase by 1,842 yet they only their ways into Nigeria when other countries need them most.

They're trying to outsmart Bill gate in producing the first vaccine.

I pity my people all becuse of poverty and greediness cry
What do you know about vaccine development and human trials? Please take your time to research on the subject before making inflammatory comments. Currently, human trials are going on in the US for a vaccine candidate. Animal trials also in Australia for a different candidate.

What if she starts earning way more than you, can you ask her for money since it is mutual?

You realize that Africa has a vast abundance of natural resources and rarely ever have natural disasters, right?
What will they gain from killing Africans and destabilising the continent, causing rebel groups and hunger that they will still send boots and aid money to address? Why go through such hassle when they already own, control and exploit your natural resources?

Yes, but no one is saying that.
Almost all the countries are being mute on how they are treating Coronavirus patients.
Only Trump was bold enough to mention Chloroquine and he was attacked for that.
Doctors and health workers know how to manage and treat the virus. There's information sharing among health workers around the globe.

You want the drugs to be posted on the news so that people will go and OD on what they have little knowledge about?

phantom24:
Which vaccine are they still looking for? I mean what are they using to cure all those that are recovering from the virus?
I don't think you understand what a cure is.

For malaria, you take ACT to kill the parasite and get cured. For catarrh and cough, you take cough syrups and septrin to TREAT the symptoms and reduce its severity while the virus runs its course.

The same applies for COVID-19. A cocktail of drugs are administered to help with symptoms which might not work the same for every infected person. There's no cure. Our hope now would be a vaccine.

Yea free money dey sweet but when a giveaway for less privileged is being done I can't get involved in that cos I can provide my daily small needs by God's grace so I should have sense and give space for people who don't have moreso most of these beggy beggy guys are peeps who are often talking about how they have money, how they are alpha males, how women are thee beggy beggy gender whilst they are even worst.hypocrisy is soo ooo irritating and shouldn't be encouraged. As a female I hate begging and I hate too when a guy who is old enough to take responsibility begs much more an arrogant one, let's all respect ourselves, especially to be mindful of how we try to massage our ego here cos it might backfire one day.
Good one. Giveaways at this time should be for those below the poverty line.

As much as this thread is true, please bear in mind that most Nigerians live on daily earnings or monthly salaries. Since this lockdown happened suddenly, most don't have savings. Assuming a lockdown is announced in a year, people will save. I read on foreign sites to have 3 months of living expenses saved in case of a job loss or something else, I followed that rule and have an account I make sure has a particular minimum balance. Even though I have a daily cash flow, most of my money is invested. It is this account that made stocking my house this period easy.

the recovery is not all about treatment but the virus itself. It doesn't kill everyone, it has a fatality rate of about 2%...so mostly the old, already sick and people with existing illness or weakness like having a weak lungs are more likely to die from it. Also the symptoms are not severe in everyone, it is more or like an individual thing...Immune response to illnesses are normally different.
I understand your point but an outbreak here will still be a disaster. Our hospitals will be overwhelmed, infected people will not isolate themselves, our poor hygiene attitude will cause a full-blown pandemic in record time and the panic with misinformation flying around will shutdown the economy. I don't even want to imagine more.

have you checked how many people recover...the recovery is far more than the deaths
Yes, a lot of people recover in developed countries when they are treated and given proper medical attention. Do you think Nigeria's health system is capable of handling an outbreak?
