May Allah forgive him and grant him Jannah firdaus. Atleast he started the just concluded graduate trainee recruitment and son of less privilege people got accepted. Beneficiary of this gesture alone will keep praying for him.

They spend based on their pocket size. Muslim organizations are not taxing members to pay money like churches do. They run with a little voluntary charity they got. Let me educate you about the verse you quoted probably your ignorance will come down to a minimum.
In order to validate the authenticity of Qur'an and to show that it is perfectly the word of Almighty Allah. That verse was referring to Prophet Muhammad PBUH as the person who doesn't know how to read and write therefore he cannot fabricate Qur'an himself rather it is a revealed word to him from Almighty Allah. The unbeliever then were claiming Prophet Muhammad PBUH was a liar, he wrote the Quran himself and therefore the verse you quoted was revealed to clear him of these lies.
Let me also educate you further that the first Qur'anic verse that twas revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH was "read '. (Q96:Vs1). This is to tell you that the power of revelation enabled Prophet Muhammad PBUH to be able to read Qur'an after this verse was revealed.
