I must say that I don't know him personally. My curiosity to know the kind of company it is made me search google back and forth until the search brought some people whose LinkedIn employment insignia bore the name of the Company. I used my own hand to send those people messages on linkedin and only one person reply. His message was brief saying I should hold on for the next stage of the recruitment. To me, it seems he knew about the on going recruitment with his response. I am having questions too because why won't their address be on their website? All I know is that the company is in Lagos but where exactly? Google can't even produce the address. I will write the man tomorrow asking him these questions.
please let us know about your outcome. smart young man!

Desirable traits like Intelligence, Beauty, Wealth, Fame etc make us enjoy some preferential treatment. Of these desirable hallmarks, Beauty has proven to be the most conspicuous as one could tell even without interacting with the Beautiful Individual.

In many cases, Beautiful people are treated nicely and are made to enjoy some benefits they would have never dreamt of enjoying if they weren't so attractive.

Nevertheless, there are few occasions where this same Beauty is a disadvantage. Occasions where your good looks bring you trouble, times when your prepossessing appearance puts you in a mess.

Even if I can't site 1001 examples, at least I know of one scenario where a Lady's Beauty worked against her. Funmilayo( not real name) is a lady with an Immaculately cute face and a voluptuously gorgeous body. I came across a moniker here on Nairaland( Rokiatu or so), there is a picture on her profile; Funmilayo is gifted with curves much more appealing than that on Rokiatu's profile. The most mind-blowing part is that Funmilayo complements such great body with a very pretty face.

Funmilayo's project supervisor couldn't take his eyes off her and he was hell bent on dating her. Her refusal to dance to the randy supervisor's beats landed her an extra year.
This thread is not for Nairalanders with average looks. So, don't come in and be forming fine bobo or pretty baby when your looks is just about average. Don't eat me raw cos I'm also in the same category with you *tongue out*. “My looks is also about average but what I devoid in looks, I make up for in Brains”

Beauties in the house, when did your Beauty work against you?
My handsomeness has never worked against me bro, except for girls disturbing me!

"Congrats to those that have received invitations. Over 4,000 candidates(can't remember the exact figure now) made it to the interview stage.

Firstly NNPC recruitment in based on quota system. Almost equal number of applicants will be taken from all the states and FCT. This implies that you are competing against people from your state. And this will in turn go down to LGA by LGA.So if you have a family member or a cousin in the race it means u are virtually fighting for one slot.
Under this system situations arises where a Candidate from State A with 50% score in the interview will be employed while a candidate from State B with 80% score might not be employed. So those of you from educationally developed states should brace up for the challenge.I am sure you know those states

What to equip yourself with:
When NNPC was established and under what decree
NNPC's Core Businesses
NNPC Subsidiaries and their operational functions
The Refineries and their various Refining capacities
Which of the NNPC subsidiaries u'll like to work with and why?
Why do you want to work with the NNPC.
Why do you want to work in the Oil industry
Why do you want to leave your former place of work(if you are already working)
Where do you hope to be in 10years time?
Understand your discipline and how you can apply it in the oil industry
Know the name of the current and immediate past GMD
Expect that you’ll be asked atleast one basic question about your discipline
Know where the head quarters of each of the Subsidiaries are located say Benin, Warri, Lagos etc.
Research the operations of the Subsidiaries so you’ll know which one you can fit in.(I am currently working with the subsidiary I mentioned during my interview so take your time to research, though it does not totally follow)

Look smart and composed. It’s usually a friendly interview and note that your line of discussion will mostly go in line with your responses so be sure of what to say. But please don’t be too confident else you’ll sound arrogant.

I’m speaking from experience. The above where questions asked me and some of my colleagues who I am working with now. So expect most of the questions to come from them.
Know that NNPC will not take everybody.
Best of God. I hope to meet you as colleagues soon."

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Access Bank Calling For Aptitude Test (entry-level) (2014) by Fredoh(m): 12:31pm On Jan 12, 2015
Philadelphia:

Not totally true. You're given targets if you're in marketing department (that's certain) but you may be in operations and yet be given targets which may be less burdensome than the other who finds him/herself in marketing. Also, you may be running from marketing and find yourself in funds transfer or customer service. Don't be too happy yet because your target will eventually come. It may be quarterly, per 6 months or annually.
To be frank, you have to be on your toes (always) at Access Bank. Don't be deceived by what you saw at the headquarter at plot 999 Danmole street. The headquarter is a better place but still, you'll have targets. Some Access employees left for Sterling bank. Though they pay lesser there ( above 150k. So I heard but I'm not sure of the exact amount). A friend of mine works at one of their branches in Benin. Remember I said earlier "At Access, whatever you do, be wise in your decision". I still mean it. The fat pay you receive comes with sacrifices to be made. Diamond pays within that range but there is a slight difference in work conditions there. I'm not saying Diamond is better or vice versa.
I won't make any decision for anyone wishing to work with Access, because the situation one finds himself in a country determines so many things.
When I was at the headquarter (Lagos), I saw the faces of some candidates waiting to be interviewed but in their midst was a more confident and matured young guy. I excused him and talked with him after listening to him give the candidates some information about what to expect at their final interview. After discussing with him, he said "he once worked with Access Bank". Looking into his eyes as he said that, I could guess the reason he left.
Once again, this information I'm giving you here is 100% free and it contains less than 0.00000001% error. Make your decisions with it. Please say me well to Chika, and tell her i miss her cute smiles wink. She is a beauty. Though we saw ourselves last year December before Christmas. If you are lucky to work at the headquarter, make Chika, Ife, Ade and Tomi your friends. You'll thank me later.
