RomanceRe: Why Is It That Most Women Or Wife Don't Have Respect For Their Husband Any More? by FreeConCiencE:
ImaIma1:
You completely miss the point. There is always a lot of comparison between women of old and modern day women.

Submission is not negotiable. However, the man has to treat her with consideration and respect just as she does too.

You cannot tell a woman that is just coming back from work to go and pound yam for you or make one complicated or stressful dish. It is common sense and not being selfish
No! A stressed woman to go and pound yam? No man will say this. I knew you said this to Polish your point.

Here, we are saying being submissive and taking to husband's instructions is very rare in most marriages now. You are here justifying a wrong thing. Even, if the wife is footing the whole bills at home, culture, God, morality or what have you demand that she should still be submissive and take to the instructions of her husband provided that the husband is not deliberately running away from his responsibilities.

For your information, women of these days are not as stressed as the women of the old era. Fetching water, fire wood, manual clothes washing, pounding yam, assisting husband on the farms, transporting heavy loads from one place to another with their heads, among others chacterized the activities of the women of the old days. Yet, they still submitted to their husbands. Now, machine wash clothes, pound yam, wash plate, gas does the cooking and the woman will still expect the man to do all the house chores. This is terrible.

A woman that cannot submit to her man and take to his instructions is an ungodly woman and should not consider getting married. The Quran says it and the Bible also says it.

ImaIma1:
Why should he tell his wife to shut up when he is talking?

All these points you raised did not start in this generation. It has nothing to do with women of today. Absolutely nothing.

And you cannot even compare then with now. Then, the husband worked and brought in the money while the wife stayed home and took care of the house and kids.

You cannot expect it to be exactly the same when the woman also works as hard as the man or even harder and still bears children, takes care of the children and the home. Of course she will feel cheated when she is still treated without consideration.

Marriage is an agreement between two people. Couples should try to make life easy for each other without one feeling neglected or disrespected.
So, because a woman contributes to the needs of the family is why she will feel cheated if she is still submissive to her husband and take his instructions?
Clap for yourself!

I didn't read, but the truth is: Women still respect their husbands, but most husbands don't know how to retain the respect. Since they're the man, they feel they deserve to be respected.

In fact, most men don't care to know how to retain respect. They think it's all about money. Yes, money is good, but making a wife respect you is not only about money, but your unshaken principles.

My brother raise shoulder jare if it requires you to raise shoulder. E no easy to pass through a Pharmacy school. If they say e easy, make them come study pharmacy. That's why the doctors keep asking you the requirement to open a community pharmacy that they want to open one and I keep telling them the requirement is B.Pharm. It always pains them with hen I tell them the simple truth and answer.
Continue to live in denial. I just pity you guys having seen what you guys are facing after school and what you faced while in school. Go to any community, get the estimate ratio of professional Pharmacists and trained chemists. It will surprise you to know that the number of chemists surpass that of Pharmacists. Take it or leave it. Pharm B ko, Pharm Q ni. Both chemists and our so called pharmacist are drug dispensers. Except for few of you that were able to distinguish themselves in pharmaceutical companies. Guys, your job is under threat. This not to tell you that you should go and start harassing chemists in the community because most of them are doing better than the so called professionals.

For your information, virtually all the private hospitals in the country have pharmacy section and sell drugs directly for their patients. Most doctors in the these hospitals employ pharmacist and give them crumbs and some of these doctors trained some of their nurses to be able to dispense drugs as well. Pharmacy in Nigeria is a total MESS. I will never advise anyone to read that course if the possibility to travel out is not guaranteed. It's a pity. Medical lab science is a better alternative course to read. I respect the diligent ones among them.

I could equally have used google there and for you to be okay with those answers i gave shows the nature of dr you are . They typical nigerian type who knows nothing of individualised therapy. All they know is following a particular protocol once a patient presents with signs and symptoms of what they think they've handled before. who does that anymore?
I'm not a toxicology pharmacist...I'm not even in the clinical environment and believe me if you should meet with one who's in the same area of specialty as you and though he wouldn't be doing everything like you do cos of job description and division of labour, there's nothing you know that he doesn't have the knowledge of and he'll match you bumper to bumper if not even better than you...Could that be the reason NMA is fighting specialisation in pharmacy practice? saying subtly that we should concentrate on drug discovery and production. The health field is an evolving one with lots of innovations coming out weekly...naija drs should try to evolve too. The way NMA fought pharm.D then was like these guys are going to be trained to do drs stuff. That shouldn't be your fears as we know our areas of expertise and job description and as I will always say you guys should accept the fact that the dispensers of yesterday are today's clinicians. Our scope of practice keeps on expanding by the day. In climes where things works even though the dr leads the team he alone cannot reach conclusion on clinical matters. it's not only medical care that gets the patient well, there're other types of care too. It's a joint and team effort not this thing in Nigeria where the dr is all knowing.

This wannabe thing is another thing i can't understand. who brainwashed you guys to think that everyone in health sciences wanted to study medicine? for God sake medicine was my second choice and if you want evidence i can upload it here. I still have my jamb registration slip and result...i would have studied medicine if I had wanted...it's inglorious to me so stop hyping empty nonsense.
See your last statement..... " It's inglorious to me, so stop hyping empty nonsense ''

Is it Medicine/Dentistry you called empty nonsense?

This shows that all your rants are as a result of envy, jealousy and low self esteem.

Don't kill the mumu nah.
In my school, the pharmacy guys only have clinical posting in basic Medicine 1 for about 6 weeks in their final year and they are only required to come 3 times in a week. I had friends there.

Imagine people like that claiming to know more than a physician because he did a watery 6 weeks posting learning the difference between signs and symptoms.

Isn't that laughable huh

The knowledge gap is just too wide. The JOHESU charlatans can keep deceiving themselves on nairaland but the fact is sacrosanct.
You guys are stooping so low by dignifying all these mere drug dispensers with brilliant answers. See the questions that put them off balance. Leave all these dispensers alone. You guys are far ahead of them. Their problem is inferiority complex. They don't even know that pharmacology is just an integral part of the voluminous work of a doctor. Yet, they are still being put off balance in pharmacology. Pharmacists are as useless in these country as P in psychology. Chemists are doing better than some of them. The only thing they know how to do best is rubbing shoulders with doctors. Lab scientists are more important than them. They will now start competition for space and job with chemists.

Sentiment apart, Pharmacists are very useless in this country. I would rather encourage people who may not be interested medicine/Dentistry to consider medical lab science than encouraging them for pharmacy just because, unless the person plans to relocate to another country, they are valueless and useless. Diligent lab scientists in the house.... I 'm proud of you guys even though there are few rogues among you guys too. I hold you guys in high esteem for brilliant test results from you guys. Come to think of it, why would I encourage someone to go and spend 4or5 yrs in the University and at the end of day, he will now start competition with chemists. The lucky ones that get dispensing jobs in the government hospital will now be rubbing shoulder with doctors due to low self-esteem and inferiority complex. Imagining going to the ward to review a patient that you are not invited to come and review and at the end of the day whatever you do doesn't make any difference or affect the line of treatment. Yoruba call it '' more gbo, mo ya ''. Shame on the Nigerian Pharmacists. No doctors will go and review a patient unless he is invited.

The nurses too, will claim they are the owners of the patients and they can do whatever any doctor can do apart from surgery. I pity you guys. what they know how to do best is to put their big butts in a very tight white gown and be tempting doctors and the patients with there laps and butts and then start gossip in their cubicles while patients need their attention. Many auxiliary nurses are more skilful and with high sense of mannerisms than our big-butted self acclaimed skilled nurses. Let me stop here for now.

Lol..This is ridiculous !! Acetylcysteine is cysteine analogue with a longer half life.Your methionine is just another AA that can be used for the management of paracetamol toxicity.
What is the commonest route of administration of the N-acetylcysteine in clinical settings?

And after how many seconds, minutes or hours would your antidote be useless If you fail to act ?

And what zone of hepatic lobule is the commonest site of liver damage due to acetaminophen toxicity ?

What type of necrosis does it cause ?

Gimme the prognostic signs of the toxicity ?

And can you tell me about the symptoms, signs and management of fulminant hepatic failure ?

The above questions are definitely beyond the scope of your curriculum.
My questions covered pharmacology, pathology and GI medicine ..

Keep calm and dispense my prescriptions quietly tongue

Keep your kudos. You are inconsequential. Your hatred for doctors can give you psychosocial disorders if care is not taken. Doctors will ALWAYS be respected even if you don't respect them. Many procedures have been carried out here in Nigeria but because you are not informed, you won't know anything. Heart surgery, neurosurgery, renal transplant, different kinds of oral and maxillofacial surgeries, IVFs have been carried out successful. This is another one. You are here spewing trash. I pity you.

If they are not medical students, they may be house officers or resident doctors who are there purposely to observe because I can remember very well, as a house officers back then, I entered theater but not to do the surgery but for observation unless the consultant asks me to wear gloves and assist him. Why are you displaying your ignorance on public forum. Are you that dumb? You're a disgrace to your parents that spent money on you to send you to school of nursing....... Even, consultants neurosurgeon cannot do the work of endocrinologist or cardiologist. If Surgeons respect physician, it is a bloody nurse that will now disrespect them by calling them malaria and typhoid doctors? Do you know the number of patients being managed everyday for the complications of malaria and typhoid that you are talking about? Do you know that malaria and typhoid are still the commonest killers of children in Africa today and not conjoined twins? I pity you for your ignorance.

This goes to show that doctors can perform without johesu members, kindly note that those people in the picture are not nurses, they are all doctors and students. All the nurses, pharmacists and lab pple are on strike.

Thunder fire johesu with their evil plan to kill Nigerians to achieve consultant and cmd title. Shey, pharmacists said they can do all, I can imagine a pharmacist conducting this operation.

Seems they weren't allowed to lock pharmacy, lab and other vital equipment hence their strike is innefective over there. When hunger sets in, they will start suspending strike in some LGAs.

Useless people
Useless JOHESU. The only way their strike can be effective is by putting the hospital gate, offices and theaters under locks and keys. I am certain that they won't like news like this one.

Come and challenge me in pharmacology. You will be surprised to know that I read katzung and Lippincott from beginning to the end. The drugs you pharmacist dispense, who prescribe them? What do you know, you this bloody drug dispenser? . That's why chemists have taken over their jobs of drug dispensary. Go to China and India and European countries and see what respected Pharmacists are doing. They are different from all these jobless Pharmacists in Nigeria competing for jobs with chemists. Nonsense! On this I agree with. What I ask is how am I sure the pharmacist wont waste my time trying to treat me and send me to a doctor when it's late.

That is my fear.

That's the certainty I need. Cos I have big pharmacies around me though I don't have a life threatening condition when i feel unwell I go to the doctor to the lab ( maybe ) then the pharmacy. That's my usual route .

They are expensive for instant care so can u assure me as a pharmacist there's no issue with seeing you first?

That's all I ask. I might not see you personally but I assume you speak for pharmacist and will try them first cos it's instant treatment.
If you do that, you are putting your life in jeopardy. Your life is at risk. You may be lucky not to have wrong diagnosis and treatment plans by the pharmacist now but you may not always be lucky. By that time, your life or those of your relatives may be the price you will pay for that wrong step. In saner climes, pharmacist will not dispense drugs for patients without doctor's prescriptions. Forget about all these envy and jealousy. Doctors are trained clinically with living human beings to take thorough history, provisional diagnosis, requesting for right investigations and then definitive diagnosis and proper treatment plans and with high knowledge of pathology which is the basis of diseases. Pharmacist or any other health professionals are not trained in this regard and this is what distinguishes doctors. This is not to say that other health professionals are not important. In fact, most of what they can do for patients on behalf of doctors were learnt from the doctors after many years of working with doctors. That is piece of advice I can offer you now. Cheers!

It is the likes of this quack doctor that encourage quackry in the nursing profession by training the so called auxiliary nurses and give them white uniform to wear with red and blue pens in their breast pocket. This narrative is both myopic and shallow. And I am tired of seeing it on Nairaland. This problem is a general problem in the country. The problem is, some of you have never travelled down North, and will never do so in your entire lives. You rely on these negatives to paint the entire region as terrible.

That is why an ignorant educated female will see me in Lagos and would almost instantly have a prejudiced opinion of me. Not realizing I may be far more exposed, educated and traveled than she is.

Not realizing my siblings and family have traveled the world. To her myopic view, I am in need of pity.

I have been to several states in this country. Our educational system is a mess. Go down East, you'll find schools like these. The same thing down West and South. But no, it is only a Northern problem.

Illiterates!
Keep your dirty mouth shut. The truth is that large percentage of northerners are backward, illiterate, dirty from head to toe, uncivilized and highly corrupt and lagging behind in terms of everything due to despicable level of corruption in the region. The earlier you realize this fact and make efforts to amend, the better for you guys.
