PoliticsRe: 14YRS OF EFCC: Only 8 Cases Achieved! Is There Hope 4 Corrupt Free Nation? - VP by Freegift75(op):
12 Corrupt Cases We Never Heard Anything About Again

1. N195 Billion Maina Pension Scam

It is believed that Alhaji Maina
misappropriated billions of naira worth of
pension funds, which he claimed to have
recovered from pension thieves. The
senate committee probing pension funds
management accused him of mopping up
pension funds from banks and depositing
the money in his private accounts.

2. Kerosene Subsidy Scam

The Former Governor of the Central bank
and Now Emir of Kano Mr Sanusi had shown
that the kerosene subsidy was eliminated in
2009 by a directive of the late president
Umaru Yar’Adua. Further evidence, in the
form of official data from across Nigeria,
shows that nowhere in the country is
kerosene sold at a subsidised rate. It is
bought by the NNPC at N150, sold to
marketers at N40-N50, but retails at N170-
N250. Mr Sanusi estimates that $100m
goes astray this way each month.

3. $6bn Fuel Subsidy Scam

Nigeria’s parliament has discussed a report
said to reveal that $6bn (£4bn) has been
defrauded from the fuel subsidy fund in
the past two years.

4. 123bn Naira Fraud – Stephen Oronsaye

A damning report by the Office of the
Auditor-General of the Federation has
indicted a former Head of the Civil Service
of the Federation, Mr. Stephen Oronsaye,
over an alleged N123billion fraud
perpetrated during his tenure, between
2009 and 2010.

5. Police Pension Fund Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) arraigned the ex-
permanent secretary in the Ministry of
Niger Delta Affairs, now a director in the
Police Pension Office, Atiku Abubakar Kigo;
the chief accountant, Mrs. Uzoma Cyril
Attang, and four others before an Abuja
high court on an 18-count charge of
conspiracy, breach of trust and
embezzlement of N32.8 billion police
pension funds.

6. Stella Oduah car purchase scandal

The committee set up by President
Goodluck Jonathan to probe the N255m
bulletproof car scandal in the aviation
ministry has indicted the Minister, Ms.
Stella Oduah.

7. NNPC missing $20billion naira

Even in a country where untold oil wealth
disappears into the pockets of the elite, the
oil corruption scheme he was investigating
seemed outsize — and he threatened to lay
it bare at a meeting with Nigeria’s top
bankers.
The whistleblower was none other than the
governor of the country’s central bank.
Weeks later, however, he was out, fired by
Nigeria’s president in an episode that has
shaken the Nigerian economy, filled
newspapers and airwaves here, and even
inspired a rare street demonstration.

8. $15 million in Private Jet Arms Scandal

A private jet that conveyed $9.3 million
cash from Nigeria to South Africa for an
alleged arms deal between the two
countries, had Nigerian crew members, and
passengers from Israel and Austria.

9. Crude Oil Theft Scandal

According to President Goodluck Jonathan,
300,000-400,000 barrels of oil per day, or
more than 10% of all Nigeria’s production,
is being lost at a cost to the state and oil
companies of around £1bn a month – more
than is spent on education and the health of
the nation’s 168 million people.

10. Ekiti Gate

The audio recordings depict the meeting as
being attended by the eventual “winner” of
the election, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti;
Senator Iyiola Omisore; a man identified as
Honorable Abdulkareem; the Minister for
Police Affairs Caleb Olubolade; and Senator
Musiliu Obanikoro who was at the time the
Minister of State for Defence. Mr. Chris
Uba came to Ekiti with huge stash of cash
and soldiers from the East to carry out the
assignment.

11. Mohammed Abacha N446 Billion case

The government had Charged Abacha to
court on nine counts of stealing against
Mohammed in February 2014.
It had accused him of unlawfully receiving
about N446.3bn allegedly stolen from its
coffers between 1995 and 1998.
.
12. N7Billion Bribe to Christian Religious
Leaders

On the 4th of February, The Director-
General, Buhari Presidential Campaign
organisation, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of
Rivers State, accused some church leaders
of taking N7 billion in bribes from the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to
campaign against the presidential candidate
of All Progressives Congress, APC, General
Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

Is EFCC truly working?
Is EFCC achieving the purpose of its creation?

Ever since the creation of EFCC in 2002 by the former president Olusegun Obasanjo to fight corruption, the records so far unveils that only 8 cases were achieved.

This is mind boggling! The question is, WHO IS TO BLAME - The Judiciary or Legislature?

Hear what Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has to say:

www.naijaonpoint.com/nigerian-news/only-8-high-profile-corruption-cases-have-been-successfully-concluded-since-efcc-started-osinbajo.html

Only 8 high profile corruption cases have been
successfully concluded since EFCC started 2002- Osinbajo

VP Yemi Osinbajo has decried the low conviction rate in high profile corruption cases in Nigeria, saying that since the inception of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2002, only eight high profile cases have been successfully concluded despite widespread corruption in the country.

Osinbajo said this at a workshop on sections 306 & 396 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 and Delay of Corruption Cases, organised by the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS) and the Presidential Committee on Corruption (PAAC) in Abuja yesterday December 9th. Osinbajo was represented by the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN).

He said of the eight cases that have been concluded, one was overturned by the Supreme Court on technical grounds, which implies that only seven major convictions have been secured after trial in 13 years.

“We must do more. This is not a campaign for conviction at all cost in high profile cases, but a campaign that the law must be allowed to follow its course and high or low profile corruption cases must be concluded within the time allotted by law,” he said.

BEFORE CRUCIFYING BUHARI: Facts To Know

NgeneUkwenu(f):
---------------------------------

If Okonjo Iweala, a woman that had seen it all could come out to say at an American conference that the SEED OF THIS RECESSION WAS PLANTED DURING THE JONATHAN REGIME DUE TO OUR LACK OF FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE, INABILITY AND LACK OF POLITICAL WILL TO SAVE. Then Those Harshly Criticizing Buhari, Should In All Honesty, Do A Retrospective Search On Their Conscience...

Obasanjo's administration earned # 17trn from
crude oil sales within eight years and left behind
45bn dollars external reserves and 3.348bn dollars
external debt.

-----------------------------------------
Yaradua grew the reserves to 64bn dollars within
just one year and the administration was able to finance 15 months of imports despite the 2008/2009 world economic meltdown. Hence, Nigeria survived the melt down because of the political will by the administration to save(a great achievement by Yaradua which most Nigerians are not aware of). Despite the tough economic reality at that time, Yaradua left 47.7bn dollars in reserves and an external debt of 3.94bn dollars. Meanwhile, the administration earned only # 9trn from crude oil sales within that short period.
----------------------------------------

Now, Jonathan administration witnessed an oil boom when Brent crude sold for over 100 dollars/barrel, with the regime earning # 51trn within a period of 5years. But because of corruption, the administration did not only squander the oil revenue but even depleted the reserves left by Yaradua, leaving just 32bn dollars and a huge external debt of 63bn dollars for Buhari.

The same Brent crude sold for as low as 35 dollars/ barrel at a point shortly after Buhari took over power and had only managed to climb to about 48 dollars just recently.

These are facts that can be verified. So, it's amazing hearing people criticize Buhari for the hunger in the land.

According to Fashola, Buhari's administration inherited 206 uncompleted road projects and contract arrears worth #2.1trn from Jonathan; and for about 2 to 3 years the contractors where not paid. This slowed down the economic activities, with most of the companies laying off their staff.

This was when the seed of recession was sowed.
It's obvious that Buhari came in to rescue Nigeria,
because if Jonathan had continued in power, the
nation's economic crisis would have been worse,
perhaps even the Federal government wouldn't
have been able to pay salaries of civil servants by
now.

According to Okonjo Iweala, Nigeria started borrowing money to pay salaries since October, 2014; but today Nigeria now borrow money for investment in capital projects.

Those who blame Buhari for the current hardship do so either out of mischief (hatred) or ignorance.

So, we shouldn't join the bandwagon in criticising him. He may not have done much to save the situation, considering that he is not a perfect human being but he means well for the country and can only succeed with our prayers.

May Almighty God continue to guide Baba Buhari.

No doubt Recessions are famous for breaking companies, families, relationship, businesses and dreams. But what many people fail to realize is how most religious leaders are taking the advantage of the gullible.

My recent observation on this matter is how the self-called prophets are compounding the hardship in the lives of their patronages.

if they can't help the situation, I think it becomes ungodly to compound it.

I saw a church banner at my area inviting people to come for a 7-day programme tagged: "SURVIVING THE RECESSION"

In my investigation, I got to know the outcome of the programme where Pastor preached that DEVIL is behind the recession. He further commanded to

"PAY TITHE FOR WINDOW OF HEAVEN TO OPEN"
"FASTING & PRAYER AGAINST THE DEVIL"

Where are we heading in this nation?

Imagine, how can a petrol station attendant who earns N15,000 monthly survives this recession with a wife and 4 children?

Now, this same man subjected himself to erroneous preaching to believe that devil is behind his inability to achieve greatness in life.

Is that what our religious leaders ought to preach on this situation?

May God deliver Nigerians

I disagree with you. The blame lies on our clueless leaders who lack vision of what it takes to paddle the canoe to the favourable shore. We are blessed in Nigeria but selfishness, greed and self- gratification among the leaders is the fundamental clause militating against the economic stability of this nation.

Presently, Buhari is confused! Believe me. His economic team is also confused.

RMAFC Disagrees with Dangote on Sale of NLNG

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal
Commission said “It is the considered view of the
Commission that Nigeria’s Assets like NLNG and other
strategic national resources should not be sold to meet short-term financial obligation”.

It will be recalled that Mr. Godwin Amefiele, Governor of the CBN indicated in a media report that the sum of $10billion could be realised from the sale of these Assets. The Commission is of the strong opinion that the same amount could be borrowed from the IMF and the revenue from these Assets could be used to amortise the loans over an agreed period. It should be noted that after the amortisation of the loans, those Assets would still be owned by the Federation in addition to their regular dividends and Revenue.

The Commission advised that instead of selling off
such vital assets which generate funds for the
Federation, wealthy Nigerians should be encouraged
to set up their own LNG projects, since Nigeria which
ranks seventh in the world and first in Africa with
natural gas reserves base totalling 188 trillion cubic
feet (Tcf) as at May 1, 2015. In addition, Nigeria’s
natural gas is regarded as one of the best in the world
as it has low hydrogen sulphide (H2S) or carbon
dioxide (CO2) impurity levels.

PoliticsLESSON FOR BUHARI: How Obama Saved U.S. From Recession! by Freegift75(op): 7:30pm On Sep 19, 2016
HOW OBAMA SAVED U.S. FROM RECESSION

Obama's major success in tackling recession hangs on his first team of economic advisers. Many of them had helped formulate the policies he had outlined during his 2008 campaign platform, which included an aggressive fiscal stimulus plan to put the country back on track.

President Barack Obama struggled with the 2008 financial crisis and controversy over the ambitious Affordable Care Act.

Despite these challenges, he's managed to accomplish many great things. Here are the top eleven.

1. Ended the 2008 Recession In February 2009, Congress approved Obama's $787 billion economic stimulus package. It cut taxes, extended unemployment benefits, and funded public works projects. The recession ended six months later when GDP growth turned positive.

In just seven months, ARRA pumped $241.9 billion into the economy, stirring growth to a robust 3.9% by early 2010. By March 30, 2011, nearly all ($633.5 billion) of the funds were spent.

Obama bailed out the U.S. auto industry on March 30, 2009. The Federal government took over GM and
Chrysler, saving three million jobs. It forced the companies to become more fuel efficient and therefore more globally competitive.

https://www.thebalance.com/what-has-obama-done-11-major-accomplishments-3306158

---------------------------------------------------------------

Clearly, the U.S. has done better than most countries in the aftermath of the 2007-2009 financial crisis. Europe has struggled to cope with high debts and stop-and-start growth. And Japan has repeatedly fallen into shallow recessions. Among the world’s top economies, only China mostly escaped the worst of the fallout from the Great Recession.

Fueling the economy has been a surge in job creation — 14 million new jobs since 2010. Auto sales recently hit a record high and home builders are rushing to build new properties to meet rising demand.

PoliticsRECESSION: Nigeria - A Visionless Nation by Freegift75(op): 7:56am On Sep 19, 2016
Finding A Vision For Nigeria

A worldwide survey reveals that lack of VISION is the fundamental clause why many nations perish economically.

Patriotically, I do not know the vision of Nigeria so far since 1960 and if the current government has one. What does Nigeria want to be?

The journey of Nigeria so far since independence shows we are a nation of no cleared vision. Vision prepares a nation against any future challenge.

Nigeria is not only affected by the world recession, there are some other countries as well but which their preparedness makes the triumph. But because we celebrate visionless politicians, who are so selfish, greedy, fearless, purposeless - we find ourselves in the mess of today.

We know the vision of Dubai and Dubai took itself there.

* Does Nigeria want to become a tourist center?
* Does Nigeria want to become the West and Central
Africa central manufacturing capital?
* Does Nigeria wish to become the food basket of
Africa?
* Does Nigeria wish to become the information
technology capital in the world?
* Or does Nigeria wish to become a combination of.
these or some of them and others?

It is important a central vision or visions for Nigeria is developed and Nigerians are made cognisant of this vision for the future of the nation. Let’s know where we are going so every one can pick an oar and row in
consonance.

Today we just hear that the new administration wants to build a country, but what country will that be? It is OK to just build a country, but it is better to build a
country with a particular primary vision.

The world is moving away from careers as we know them. Soon all jobs will be taken over by machines, even medical jobs are at risk.

Nigeria can choose a vision that places it at an advantage in the future that has already begun. But Nigerian leaders are beclouded by corruption. This the crucial moment for youth with Vision to intervene as the elders have failed with their grey hair.

Imagine, why is there a black market, BDC in Nigeria?
Why does the country have two dollar rates?

This is a supervised corruption and main reason why the Naira remains in free and turbulent fall.

A rate duplicity is maintained with the current interbank dollar rate at N305 while the parallel market sells this at N425.

This dual rate is corruption and set up to favour the cabals who have been dashed billions of dollars via CBN subsidized dollar sales.

Nigeria will survive by God’s grace only if our leaders project good vision for this country. No one hears VISION 2020 again.

Every Nigerian has a responsibility!

freegift,i doubt if thats a good option cos the military is now too 'tribalised' and politicised, you know what i mean. Certain ppl believe the military is their birthright...i am into the maritime and not too long ago we had some work in a military yard in a western state, all the personel and officers at the entrance and majority of the officers within were all northerners. Guess what, they were communicating on their walkie talkies in 'hausa'! They are in total control of the military..will this type of military take over and enthrone true federalism and restructuring? 'They' almost took over when yar adua died and only God knows what would've happened if gej won the last election. The situation was so bad that northern soldiers then were expressing anger for guess who, christians (gej and southerners)! Pls,i dont wanna talk 'more than myself,o' but theres one other factor that can help and the north knows it well and has been and is still working against it and that is southern united stand...i am talking about a united stand between the igbos and ss and yorubas.. They shud come together and unite and push for political power and get it and push for foundamental reforms and restructuring and draft an all peoples' constitution and enthrone true federalism. Then if any region isnt good with that, then REFERADUM FOR SELF DETERMINATION.

One aint waiting for what the nation will do for him/her,whats important is for one to live in a land where he/she can be encouraged and aspire for greatness and live the dream.

A benin brother and friend of mine,a naturalised british citizen, was travelling back to london and guess what he said to us: 'i am going home".
My Nairaland Brother,
I humbly commend your reasoning capacity, it's unfortunate that stuffs like you are scarce in Nigeria politics.

The fact of Military taking over Nigeria seems not to be acceptable by me. I want to engage you in the research for the most tribes in the top Military hirachy in Nigeria. I mean the most top leaders.

By the way Nigeria is heading, this present democracy will lead us to doom. You can testify to it.

You suggested for harmonization between the southerners, in your own imagination, how could that possible? I don't think so because presently no tribe is ready to...

I propose military intervention to change Nigeria constitution just like it worked for Egypt.

Chief Mrs. Flora Ifeanyichukwu Nkemakonam Ilonzo
(Ambassador of Peace), who turns 70 years this September, speaks with OKEY CHRIS on a range of issues. Excerpts

How was growing up like and why did you choose herbal among other professions?

I’m an Artist; the first lady artist in the then East Central State comprising the present Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia and Imo states. Herbal is in my gene, and my lineage. My father, and my great grand fathers from both father and mother sides were
herbalists. Some people do ask me, why do I choose to be addressed as a herbalist. I am a reendowed herbalist known all over the world, because I have identified different plants from different parts of the countries by their uses and by their cure of different ailment. Coming to tradition, because you mentioned
tradition, for your information, traditional medicine is different from herbal medicine.

Herbal medicine is one all over the world. When they mentioned Acantus Mutanus, is the same in China, Germany, America, etc. all other botanic name of plants are the same worldwide. Their differences come from their originating countries because of the
climate condition, and chemical from the soil. But we, Nigerians are lucky, because in Nigeria climate condition, there is no excess sunlight. Our climate condition helps our plants and it increases the medicinal value of it.

Who are the important personalities you have come across in the course of your trade and what are those experiences that mold you to these levels?

If I start recounting my ups and downs in life, many people will feel bad about it. My answer to your question is that I have forgiven those that God used to mold me up to this level, because it is a bitter experience. I am celebrating how I saved Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as military Head of State (now President) in 1985 coup. I recovered ammunition, including nine bombs among others and stopped the visit of Gen. Buhari in 1984 which could have resulted into killing Igbo dignitaries that would trooped en mass to receive him in the South East states.

All I want to remind you is that God bestows on me, the vision and the power. I am calling on people to join me in thanking God for His mercies and protection especially for that of 1985. I would have been killed by now. It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. You know I leaked the coup plan to the planners. You know what it means. It led to my demotion from level 15 as State Artist to level 12 in the civil service. Though I was not tortured, I was locked up in GOC 82 Division Enugu until the completion of the coup that removed Buhari from office in 1985. I predicted the coup against Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari.

For that reason, I was invited by Brigadier Y. Y. Kure General Officer Commanding 82 Division Enugu and was locked up. I predicted that coup and it happened as I predicted it. After the incident, I resigned from government service and vowed not to work with them again. Although I was favoured by the military through the acquisition of this estate, I have saved so many lives through my predictions.

PoliticsI Will Cut Off Your Head: Bokoharam's Threat To Buhari (read Full Transcript) by Freegift75(op): 6:11pm On Sep 15, 2016
www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/210385-full-transcript-boko-haram-brags-in-new-video-threatens-buhari-buratai.html

The 12 minutes, 58 seconds video shows a crowd of Boko Haram members heading to a prayer ground
for Eid prayers. The Imam who led the prayers was identified as the assistant to the group’s known leader, Abubakar Shekau. His name was not mentioned.

Although Shekau did not feature in the video, the narrator made it clear the faction was loyal to Shekau. A separate faction of the sect has since earlier this year been led by Abu Musab al-Barnawi, son of a former founder of the group, Mohammed Yusuf.

The new video shows two different Eid prayer sessions at the same time. While a group was praying inside a mosque, another was praying in a different location outside a mosque. Each group had a different imam or prayer leader.

After a sermon in Arabic, which lasted less than a minute, the imam of the group inside the mosque delivered a rant in Hausa.

Below is the transcription.

“Brothers, this is our Eid for the year 1437 AH (2016) under the leadership of our leader, Abu Muhammad
Abubakar Ibn Mohammad Ashakawi (Shekau).

“We extend our greetings to our people and fighters all over the world; and to our leader, the leader of Jama’atu ahlus-sunnah lidda await wal jihad Imam Abubakar Shekau.

“We pray that Allah should keep us together under
this umbrella and cause.

“May Allah guide us to follow the teachings of
prophet Muhammad (SAW). May Allah make us
triumph over all the infidels of this world. May Allah
protect our leader, mallams, wives and everybody all
together.

“Our message to the infidels who are fighting us;
especially their leader, the President of Nigeria,
Muhammadu Buhari, is that he should know that we
are still in this religion. And like they keep saying
that they have defeated us; it is indeed not true,
because we are in good health and succeeding in our
cause. We are very strong and doing very well.
“Buhari is saying that he will finish us. Let him know
that before he said so, other infidels said so before
now and they couldn’t.

“So this infidel by the name Buhari saying that he
will finish us, he should know that by the grace of
Allah, he cannot finish us. Rather, he will die, he will
die, he will die.

“Our leader who is leading us on this, Imam Jamatu
ahlus Sunnah lidda awat (Shekau), may Allah
continue to protect him for us.

“By the will of Allah, under the leadership of our
leader (Shekau), we will capture Buhari with our
hands.”

The congregation now disperses from the mosque
chanting Allah Akbar. The Imam steps out from the
mosque for a photo shoot behind the group’s flag
and says:

“My last message is to you Buratai (Tukur, Nigeria’s
Army Chief), Kukasheka (Sani, spokesperson of Nigerian Army) and the rest of the infidels. “You should know that this is a brand new video which we recorded today the 12th of September 2016, using the infidel’s calendar.

“It is a new video, not an old one. It is a brand new
video; (we hear) you are saying you will finish us with your fighter jets. “By the grace of God, you will see what we will do to you.

“Under the leadership of our leader, Shekau, we will
step further henceforth and will destroy what we
never destroyed before. “We are ready and even stronger now. We will go to where we never were before now and destroy what we never destroyed before now.

“You infidels, you are finished now. You all want to
live and enjoy life; but this time around, we are well
prepared to die. (Chants of “Allah Akbar”).

“No retreat, no surrender by the grace of God! No
retreat, no Surrender by the grace of God! No retreat,
no surrender by the grace of God!

“We shall cut off your heads with our swords and
guns (removing his sword from the sheath).

“Allah is going to help us. And you shall see how he
is going to do that soon. (Chants of “Allahu Akbar”).

The video then showed a mini horse race by some
Boko Haram fighters to entertain the scores of
members who were chanting “Allah Akbar”.

You seem not know what you posted. The point of this thread is the fundamental challenge militating against the development of this nation.

The enemies of Nigeria are the politicians and the constitution. Nigeria will remain stagnant economically if our constitution remains.

REFERENDUM ON SALARIES OF THE POLITICIANS

Dear Nigerians,

It's very conspicuous indeed that Nigeria at present is experiencing a disheartening recession economically.

Nigerians are lamenting as regards the hardship encountering daily causing untimely death...!

But one aspect we seem to have neglected for review but militating against the economy is the rate at which politicians milk the Nation.

It is high time we faced the reality but to declare state of emergency on the salaries of the politicians, and make politics non-attractive.

Imagine, Twenty-one senators currently receiving pensions from government as ex-governors and deputy governors.

The current senators who once served as governors are Bukola Saraki of Kwara, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano, Kabiru Gaya of Kano, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Theodore Orji of Abia, Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa, Sam Egwu of Ebonyi, Shaaba Lafiagi of Kwara, Joshua Dariye of Plateau Jonah Jang of Plateau, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto, Ahmed Sani Yarima of Zamfara, Danjuma Goje of Gombe, Bukar Abba Ibrahim of Yobe, Adamu Aliero of Kebbi, George Akume of Benue and Isiaka Adeleke of Osun.

The former deputy governors in the Senate are Ms Biodun Olujimi of Ekiti and Enyinaya Harcourt Abaribe of Abia. Danladi Abubakar Sani served as the acting governor of Taraba state.

Many former governors are also in Buhari's Cabinet as Ministers. This includes: Ngige, Fayemi, Amaechi and Fashola (SAN).).

In Akwa Ibom State, the law provides that ex governors and deputy governors receive pension equivalent to the salaries of the incumbent. The package also includes a new official car and a utility vehicle every four years; one personal aide; a cook, chauffeurs and security guards for the governor at a sum not exceeding N5 million per month and N2.5 million for his deputy governor.

In Rivers, the law provides 100 percent of annual basic salaries for the ex-governor and deputy, one residential house for the former governor “anywhere of his choice in Nigeria”; one residential house anywhere in Rivers for the deputy, three cars for the ex-governor every four years and two cars for the deputy every four years.

It is alledged that in Lagos, a former governor will get two houses, one in Lagos and another in Abuja, estimated at N500 million in Lagos and N700 million in Abuja. He also receives six new cars to be replaced every three years; a furniture allowance of 300 percent of annual salary to be paid every two years, and a N30 million pension annually for life.

This is the reality for all the 21 ex govenors and deputy governors who are currently serving as senators. This same is also true of ex governors who are now serving as Ministers.

NOW I ASK:
How many years did these guys serve their states as governors and deputy governors? Is it more than 8years? Is that a reason to be entitled to pensions for life? Even if they are entitled to pension for life, must it be so outrageous?

As if that is not enough: HOW on earth can any public servant with conscience collect salaries and allowances as a senator or minister, and still have the audacity to claim pensions equivalent to the salaries of a serving governor in Nigeria?

IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE......

Once you are elected a senator or appointed a minister, you must forfeit any pension accruing to you from government at any level until you vacate office. This should also apply to senators collecting military pensions like former Senate President David Mark.

Yet these senators are in the Senate that is inviting the current finance minister to discuss the recession of Nigeria's economy. A senator pockets approximately 30 million naira monthly as salary and allowances.

Our "honourables" are not interested to make laws that could restructure our country into economically autonomous federating States/Regions to save the country from sectional agitations that is threatening to destroy Nigeria. The sad and hopeless situation is that the rest of Nigerians are busy arguing based on party, ethnic and affiliations while these enemies of state continue to rape us.

Do you know that it costs tax payers 290m Naira yearly to maintain each member of our National Assembly in a country where nothing works & 80% of population earn below 300 Naira a day ? A working day earning of a senator is more than a yearly income of a doctor; it's more than the salary of 42 Army generals or 48 professors or 70 commissioners of police or more than twice the pay of the US President or 9times the salary of US congressmen.

I think the country must have a referendum on salaries of senators. This must happen very quickly.

The current constitution of Nigeria is the fundamental clause to many woes in this Nation. imagine, a former Governor claiming lifetime pension amounting to over N100M just for 8yrs service. Why?

I appeal to patriotic Nigerians to rise against this anomaly.

Nigeria shall rise again.

PoliticsFLASHBACK: ...the First Female In Kuje Prison by Freegift75(op): 9:24am On Sep 12, 2016
FLASHBACK:

“Don’t vote Muhammadu Buhari. He will put all of us in jail and i cannot be carrying food to my husband in prison”- Dame Patience Faka Jonathan a.k.a Mama Peace

The above quote was the statement of Chief Mrs Patient Jonathan, the former Nigeria First lady, made during 2015 presidential election.

To a reasonable citizen, such statement depicts skeleton in her cupboard, and curiously campaigned against President Buhari.

Now that the wind has blown and what she concealed has become open testament to her conspiracy with the husband to milk Nigeria at the expense of the general masses, who is to be vindicated?

Amechi or who?

The question is, "if eventually found guilty do you think she will be prosecuted?

She gonna make additional history: "THE FIRST FEMALE IN KUJE PRISON"

PoliticsEXPOSED: Saraki Dagora, Atiku Plot Coup Against Buhari by Freegift75(op): 6:54am On Sep 12, 2016
EXPOSED: Saraki, Dogara In 2019 Anti-Buhari Secret
Meeting At France; Obasanjo, Atiku, Fashola, Kayode's Names

The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and the House of Representatives Speaker, Honourable Yakubu Dogara allegedly held a secret meeting in France to perfect plan on how to decimate President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure his ouster in 2019, a Nigerian in the diaspora, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju
has revealed.

Though unconfirmed, but according to the Ademola-Olateju, who revealed the alleged secret meeting from the United States, other prominent figures named in connection with alleged 'civilian coup' against President Buhari are former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Minister of Work, Power and House, Babatunde Raji Fashola; Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the Minister of Solid Minerals, Mr. Kayode Fayemi.

Explaining how the secret meeting was eventually held between Saraki, Dogara and Atiku but in absentia, Ademola-Olateju posted on her facebook timeline;

 "The Saraki and Dogara Meeting In France"

"The information filtered in immediately Dogara got to London. I was told he will be meeting with
Atiku and they were up to no good. My laser was focused on Atiku and word got to me that he was in Dubai at the time."

"Sources in the Gulf States were contacted and they confirmed his stay. We kept tabs on him. He stayed
in Dubai and did not leave. Dogara went to Dorchester Hotel to meet the Zamfara governor. While we were on Atiku watch, Saraki crept into Paris and he met with Dogara. I was alerted but it was too late to deploy."

"Dogara did not alert the embassy. They wanted their clandestine meeting under wraps but hey, we will
always know."

Here is the plan:
Buhari must NOT have a second term" 
An Atiku/Fayemi ticket, 
An El-Rufai/Fashola ticket 
Destruction of Magu 

Attacks must begin on Obasanjo from their new and social media platforms 

Deliberate sabotage from within to make Buhari unelectable 

"The battle for 2019 is here. Buhari can only blame himself. (More on this some day). When the tree you
want to lean on is full of thorns, you know you are on your own.

Bamidele! Is this war worth going into? Is it worth fighting? Can you and other patriots have the Nigeria you desire? These questions plaques my mind at every turn."

"I am confused, I am worried but I am resolute this morning. Even if it means that this generation of
fighters can only plant the seed. We will plant the seed. I have adopted the slogan of my daughter's school.

LEAD THE WAY!" she concluded

PoliticsTHOUGHTFUL: 8 Reasons Why APC Is Stronger Than PDP by Freegift75(op): 7:22pm On Sep 11, 2016
WHY APC IS STRONGER THAN PDP.
---------
1. It took PDP 16 years to make a dollar = N197, but it took APC just 1 year to make a dollar N405.
---------

2. They said It took PDP 16 years to destroy Nigeria, but it took APC just 1 year to massacre, dismantle, kill
and bury Nigeria. ...
--------

3. It took PDP 16 years to make fuel price N87/litre, kerosene at N100/litre and diesel at N115/ litre. But it took APC 1 year to make petrol N145/litre, kerosene at N210/litre and diesel at N300/litre.
-------

4. It took PDP 16 years to make Nigeria corrupt, but it took APC just 1 year to make Nigeria Fantastically corrupt.
---------

5. It took PDP 16 years to stabilize the price of rice at
N7,000 per bag, but took APC 1 year to project it to N18,000 per bag.
-------

6. It took Jonathan 5yrs to travel to 15 countries, but it took Buhari 1 year to travel to 30 countries.
-------

7. It took PDP (Jonathan) 5years to domesticate agricultural products with huge exports but it took APC one year to import grasses from Brazil and nothing more.
------

8. It took PDP 16years to apply resounding economic policies that made banks grow, but took APC 1 year to apply policies which they beg banks not to sack more staff.
------
CONCLUSIVELY; I am beginning to think that while PDP is better in administration, APC is better in opposition, that's why APC is still campaigning, blaming, promising and playing opposition party despite being the.. Ruling party after one year
