geeez: So that's why Obama's car has a missile defense system and Oduah's doesn't because Nigeria is more secure than America abi?

Who is more of a high profile target between Oduah and the British PM and if you read the OP well enough (though I doubt you can comprehend things), you will realize that the issue raised is that of corruption. The British PM's car is more valuable and sophisticated but costs less than half of Oduah's. You sure must have dropped out or paid your way through a cheap school.

Like your moniker suggests, that globe on your neck is as empty as it is free
and I guess that's why British PM uses public trains while Obama doesn't? And did you put in context the circumstances behind the purchase of both cars? I maintain you are the less intelligent person on the whole nairaland. Go get an education and stop using stolen devices to post thrash on nairaland. area boy

Governor Akpabio Purchases Million-Dollar Bullet Proof Luxury Vans

Just months after purchasing a $45 million
dollar jet, and a few days after recklessly doling
out several thousands of dollars to Nigerian
music star, 2Face and his wife, Akwa Ibom
State Governor Godswill Akpabio has taken
possession of several bulletproof sprinter
luxury vans from US based Texas Armoring Cars
(TAC).
A source told Saharareporters that the governor
took delivery of the Mercedes Benz made vans
recently after they were customized to his
specifications by TAC in Texas.
The vans will join a remarkable fleet of top-of-
the-line bulletproof luxury Sport Utility
Vehicles (SUV) Akpabio already has in his
official convoy, making the latest purchase
superfluous and insensitive, insiders in the
government told SaharaReporters.
The Texas Armoring Company has displayed the
luxurious interior of Mr. Akpabio’s latest toy on
its Facebook page.
The Akwa Ibom governor, who intends to run
for the Senate when his second term ends, has
emerged as one of Nigeria’s hardest-spending
governors, with a taste for the finest things,
while most of his State remains undeveloped.
He is also one of President Goodluck Jonathan’s
closest confidants, and recently emerged
chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party
Governors’ Forum, with a mandate to help
Jonathan win re-election in 2015.
Insiders say some governors convert some of
the luxury possessions into personal items they
take with them when they leave office, or give
away as presents to friends.

GOV.FASHOLA,ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU GET N600 MILLION BULLETPROOF JEEPS

Governor of Lagos State,Babatunde Raji
Fashola and his political Godfather,Asiwaju
Bola Ahmed Tinubu just took delivery of new
acquisitions.
Source identified the buy as three bullet
proof cars- Jeeps- with bomb detector
apparatus and surveillance cameras.
Findings revealed that two of the purchase
are with Governor Fashola for official usage
as the helmsman of Lagos state. Asiwaju
Tinubu is said to have one to his name as
party leader.
The brand of the bullet proof cars is
identified as Toyota Prado Jeep.
The cost of each jeep- including handling,
registration, insurance and other fees- is two
hundred million naira. The three jeeps are
valued at six hundred million naira.
The cars are customized- by special order.
It is however believed that the Lagos state
government footed the bill for the cars.
The three automobiles were reportedly bought
for Asiwaju Tinubu and Governor Fashola on
grounds of 'security'
Insiders revealed that the two political
figures have not gone public with their jeeps.

Dino Melaye escapes assassination in Abuja

Mr. Melaye said two bullets hit his car.
A former Nigerian federal lawmaker, Dino
Melaye, Monday night escaped assassination in
Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
Mr. Melaye, a staunch government critic, was
attacked in the high-brow Central Business
District of the city, while making his way home.
He said the attackers, driving in a Golf car,
crossed his car near the NNPC towers and
immediately began shooting at him.
He said two bullets hit his car before he
managed to escape unharmed.
“I am safe,” he told PREMIUM TIMES.

Dino Melaye: He escaped an assassination attempt earlier this year in his bulletproof vehicle.
If Dino Melaye uses bulletproof car for security reasons I wonder why a minister wont. Have we ever asked how much Dino Melaye bought his bulletproof ride and why he did since he is against a minister in a "ministry like aviation" owning one. questions

Italiano1: With regards to your comments about Awolowo flooding government parastatals with incompetent Yoruba people, you care to provide any evidence? Or is it now the common theme amongst your people to make spurious allegations that they cannot back up with any shred of evidence. Another biafran intellectual -Freeglobe made an allegation that 1 billion was spent on Tinubu's birthday- he has become incommunicado since I asked him to provide evidence.
I never knew you were serious about the evidence. here you have it from the same Sahara reporters.

SaharaReporters has learnt that former
Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Lagos
has demanded that the Lagos State
government and various local
government councils in the state
contribute huge sums of cash to fund
his 69th birthday celebration.
Reliable sources told SaharaReporters
that Mr. Tinubu, a professed
opposition figure and leader of the
Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN),
made it compulsory that the chairmen
of all local governments under the
party contribute cash to give him a
birthday that one of his critics has
described as “obscene and immoral.”
In all, the ACN chieftain has asked the
state and local governments to cough
up N1 billion.
“The birthday party is being planned as
a month-long affair and will be
celebrated in phases,” said one source.
In addition to the funds from his
state, Mr. Tinubu has also asked that
the governors of Oyo, Ekiti, Edo and
Ekiti make significant cash donations
to the planned events. Our sources
revealed that tension may be brewing
between Mr. Tinubu and Governor
Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State over the
latter’s refusal to contribute towards
the lavish birthday party.
Mr. Ajimobi recently hosted President
Goodluck Jonathan's wife, Patience,
during her visit to Oyo State. A source
close to the governor told
SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan
told Mr. Ajimobi not to create enmity
with PDP elements in his state. She
reportedly described former Governor
Tinubu as a closet member of the PDP.
Our source said Mrs. Jonathan, who
was piqued by Tinubu’s recent
criticisms of her husband’s policies,
also revealed that Mr. Tinubu has met
secretly with her husband on several
occasions. She said that, at one such
private meeting last year in France,
President Jonathan and Tinubu struck
a deal to quash a case against the
former governor for violations of Code
of Conduct provisions.
After portraying Mr. Tinubu as a
selfish politician out for his personal
financial interests, Mrs. Jonathan told
Ajimobi to contact her directly if he
needed anything from Mr. Jonathan.
A source in Oyo stated that Governor
Ajimobi’s decision not to bankroll
Tinubu’s birthday extravaganza may
signal the governor’s determination to
escape from under Mr. Tinubu’s
tyrannical style of leadership within
the ACN political orbit and Ajimobi's
move to start a gradual migration back
to the PDP. Ajimobi is generally
described as a non-performing
governor by Oyo indigenes.
Although Mr. Tinubu claims to be 60
years old, a source told us that he is
at least 67 years old.

Deep anger and hopelessness all have reduced you to an animal, if you think you are in an animal farm, so many of us, Igbo like you, are not; we are STILL in Nigeria where sane human beings STILL live and are positive evil will end someday when animals like you become extinct or go to the zoo where you belong and where your ideas will thrive.

Remember, dinosaurs lived years back and are now extinct, monkeys, baboons, etc all have moved away from us to places best suited for animals. In like manner, the remaining animals in human form will very soon not find comfort in the midst of normal human beings who believe and act like they are truly made in God's own image. Your day and time will come!

U can imagine what Kengali and freeglobe can comfortably type in a forum like this. And i know the yorubas seem to be "unbiased" here because an ibo is involved. Well this is the sorry state of a nation that is "willing" to fight corruption. Which way NIGERIAhuh
the earlier we stop deceiving ourselves in this country the better for us all. And no they are not "unbiased" here if not they should be calling for the head of the NCAA DG instead. There is a clear difference between fighting corruption and pull him down. The minister has not been accused of stealing money.
