PointB: Truth be told, I think it's quiet disingenuous of not to do your job despite several pleas from myself and other members of the electoral team. To say that you were at the thread as observer and did post twice only to turn around and fail to recommend it for the FP is very unfair, and unbecoming of the esteem position many have held you. It's a big low for you.

Nairaland MOD are expected to be mature and and fair in their relationship with users of the forum. Besides, the thread has run into 20 pages even without you doing your job. Is the traffic and adverts impression that would have been possibly generated by the thread by now if you had done your job since going into the account of any Igbo man on that thread?

Seun is a businessman, I advise you drop your pettiness and do your job to assist his business. That is why you are employed as the Mod. Not to use your power to impede those you have beef with. Thank you very much, kind sir.
I think you are blaming the wrong person here. Seun has clearly said the mods does not have the powers to move threads to homepage. Its the duties of a certain Mukina2. The Mukina2 cannot claim to be oblivious of that thread since she's always lurking the politics section looking for igbos to ban and always pushing harmful topics to the homepage.

I want to complain to Seun (since he is here) to bring mukina2 to order. she is too partisan to be a 'super moderator'.

Thank you.

Andre Uweh: Who ever is responsible for putting threads in the from page should be ashamed of this thread below. Yet a thread that has hit 20 pages and likely to hit 50 pages will not be in the front page despite pleas from forumites. Ndigbo nairaland that constitute 1/3 of this famous forum needs to beg a moderator to do what is just. This is shameful, and that particular mod responsible for this delay or lack of should swallow pride and apologise to forumites here. This is very disgraceful.

you people should keep ranting like mad dogs, its obvious the crap you call Nigerian music affecting your Iqs. SA has produced international music legends, we have only fela. With the crap music coming from Nigeria everbody will soon be tired like before. Someone said nigerian artists are a force to reckon with in the word stage. Am laughing off this thread with that statement.

shymexx: He thrives on the truth, yet he said the book isn't a balance account, no??

Igbos are the architect of the negative energy they receive around Nigeria... I have only been on NL for 9 months and I know that from the incessant chest beating and the nonsense you guys spew on here daily, it's just shameful...

Honestly, when I meet Igbos now in real life - I look at them differently. I can't really take any Igbo person seriously again, to be honest... There's just something off-putting about you guys..
The book is not a balanced account (ve not confirmed that tho) means its from his singular perspective and his opinion undiluted - which has inturn turned to ndigbo perspective. He is speaking for us. The rest things you wrote belongs to the recycle bin. who cares.
Why would an aged man in his 80s commit suicide

Is this another one of your igbo propoganda?

OK, then Ojukwu died an excruciatingly painful death. And his wife was being fvcked hard by his younger cousin while he remained alive grin

So two can play this game.
Hahahaha, thats you living ib denial, everybody know how ojukwu died and where he died from sickness and natural causes. Awolowo....... I rest my case.

shymexx: No one asked him to say that - and you don't see Yoruba academics talking about past glory...

Perhaps, we can both agree that Achebe thrives on trbalism, no??
Achebe thrives on the truth. The truth needs to be said. We are from a culture that believes on truth and not deception.
The funny thing about all of this is that the more Achebe talks, the more my beloved Awolowo is vindicated cheesy grin

I hope he continues talking.
this is what I dont like. you cant play with the peoples intelligence via propaganda. Tell me how the war criminal awolowo was vindicated here. The correct thing is, the more chapters of Achebe's memoir is revealed, the more restless the war criminal gets in the grave. unlike you Awolowo would not wish he continues talking. Anyways seems you guys are desperate for Awolowo to be vindicated but sorry, its not coming. Awolowo remains a war criminal who committed suicide. Live with it man

chief batiatus: Did I say you don't own them? But they are crap! Infact most estates in abuja are owned by Ibos but what is their quality like? Let's go to your east where I lived and worked before, the same kind of buildings! Small rooms, low cement quality, rough finishing but fine painting and tile. Go to the west and see how houses are built.
cheesy cheesy cheesy
I dont know how NL keeps producing these clowns. Have they started building modern houses in yorobberland? Last time I checked Yoruba people still occupy houses of the colonial era, again except lagos.

bittyend: We assess a man's superiority based on his assets, qualifications, and achievements.

We assess a group's superiority based on its abode.

I'll accept that Ibos are superior, if any Ibo on this thread can sway me over with pictures of the beautiful and majestic Ibo land. cheesy

I've seen pictures of Enugu, and it's subpar; I want something different.

Who will take the offer and win me over?
I take the offer, you may want to compare the subpar pictures of Enugu you saw with the entire south west joined together save Lagos. Your question answered.
My point is simple. But since you are unable to understand it, let me repeat it in a slightly different manner.

There are two separate issues here:
a) The hypothesis that Igbos truly are superior to every other group in Nigeria.
b) Igbos acting as if (a) is true.

You keep focusing on (a). But my point is that (b) is what has caused everyone to hate you. And arguably, that they are justified in hating you.
you seem to dwell too much on this your people's hatread for igbos even Achebe has told you clearly its a because of envy and jealousy. We dont care if you hate us, it doesnt stop us from breaking feats or taking over Lagos for instance. We have seen people die of bitterness while the bittered contunue to flourish cool

OlaomiDe9ja: That's one of the problems Mr. whiner. You are cursing and insulting instead of contributing. Ibos are the one crying for which I care less about. Yes I have been in the East. I did my NYSC in the East in 1985 and I don't know where you were then. I have very good ibo friends who are open minded. I spent a weekend in Enugu with my ibo friend and his family.I have seen East even in the heart of Lagos. A Yoruba man running a parastatal is open-minded and reflecting federal character in his satffing but go to an ibo managed one, it will be all ibos and he doesn't care. When Wole Soyinka won Nobel prize, Mr. Literate, this was Prof Chinua Achebe remark: "You should not consider yourself as the “Asiwaju (leader) of African Literature,” for winning a “European prize.” Were it to be other way round, I assure you Wole Soyinka would have congratulated the professor of bickering. Yorubas are smart and diplomatic. They will never let anyone (no matter the disposition) lead them to an unwarranted war. June 12 is an example. Yorubas approached it diplomatically instead of calling for break up. Remember Chukwumerije's role then. You guys dared say anything when Buhari, Babangida or ABACHA were in power. There were events that culminated into civil war, I will suggest you remove your peg from the effects of Gowon managed unnecessary war during which all appeals to Ojukwu to avoid the war were rejected. Go back to Kano Riot of 1953. Don't rely on the lies they are feeding you. Yorubas will never feel persecuted. Adegoke Adelabu died because of his loyalty to Zik, Adeniran Ogunsanya was loyal to Zik to the end. Yorubas are open, Awolowo didn follow the military boys to Aburi in Ghana Mr. Literate. How are we going to move forward when whiners and mosquitoes wont let us rest. I don't argue with fools though.
I find it hard to believe that an old man like you will talk so stupi.dly but guess the saying that a fool at 40 is a fool forever is real.

Youcan concoct your bunch of lies all you want but I will like to believe you are selling this your 'I better pass you' gibberish to your fellow yorobbers. Its crazy you can say Yoruba people obey federal character. The most tribalistic people on earth. Heck, you are even a tribalist yourself is a tribalist and cant respect federal character if you have the opportuny.

Well you people can continue shouting one Nigeria but as long as one Nigeria persists yorrobbers will continue to be shut out like GEJ has started!
