My 2007 Bank type Corolla was having a hard start and I changed fuel pump at mechanic's suggestion. Now the hard start remains though not as much as before.

Please advice.

Sometime ago November to be precise. My 1998 CRV was jerking while accelerating. I went to 2 mechanics and both confirmed that my fuel pump was bad. So I changed the fuel pump, it didn't take 30mins b4 the fault reappeared. Finally I changed the fuel filter, o boy! If u see the dirt coming out of my filter.... at that point I told them to service the injector nozzles. After that my car performed better than when I bought it, the movement was formula 1 standard

Just stumbled on this tread today. My wife has done the business b4. I used to help out with cutting and slicing, sometimes frying and packaging.
Having said that I will like to tell u that the business is time consuming, from peeling to frying to packaging takes a whole day. The stress level is high.
I don't know the level you plan to operate yours maybe hire workers and produce in large scale.
The plantain used is not the normal plantain we buy in d market, there's a particular plantain they use for chips, it's dwarf like, and it's also cheaper. The cheaper the plantain the more gain u make. Don't forget to factor in oil, gas/coal, salt, pepper. Then we used to sell at N50 bucks. We supplied shops in my neighborhood. It's a nice business but she had to stop because of the stress.

I put Japanese carburetor in the damn car also i removed the engine fan, and mounted japnese fan to the radiator.

2012 I floored the speedometer of 2005 Toyota Siena. The speedometer stopped at 180kph.

Pls my Nissan Altima 2002 model (Auto) refuses to start once it starts it doesn't last more than 3secs before its switches off back. Someone said the air flow meter needs replacing how true is this.

From my little experience from 98 altima I will suggest you unplug the air flow meter socket and start the car, if it starts then u know it's the metres fault. If it's rough idling the culprit is the intake manifold you will need to put new gasket.

I hope you used original Nissan NS2 fluid and not the aftermarket type I see at camp in Enugu.

Good evening guys. I changed the CVT oil today and guaged it properly. Now a new problem has turned up... On my way home from the mechanic workshop I noticed that there was loss of throttle response. For instance if I stopped at a traffic light, if I want to move the throttle will not respond at all until I switch off and on the engine. I read somewhere about limp mode, but I don't know if it's as a result of the gear oil change, or is it just the throttle sensor. Pls has anybody experienced such problems b4? And how was it solved?

There are two notches (lower and upper) on your cvt dipstick indicating oil minimum and maximum limits, respectively. That is, the amount of oil in your transmission should not be below the lower notch or should not exceed the upper notch. The phrase highlighted means the amount of oil should not exceed the halfway between the two notches. Do the measurement when the engine is hot. I don’t stay in Enugu, but I believe any good mechanic would be familiar with the concept of an external cooler installation. Needless to say, your transmission fluid is NS-2.

Thanks a lot. I've been doing some research and I noticed that the oil they put was over-guaged. Also the last oil change was done with NS-3, which I understand is for newer models. Now I'm planning to drain the whole oil and replace with NS-2 and guage it properly. Hopefully that will solve my problem.

The CVT in your car is code-named RE0F10A, admittedly one of the more problematic CVT models. The symptom you had is called Cvt Fluid Temperature Protection Logic. Install an external cooler; drain the present fluid and refill not above the halfway mark between the minimum and maximum gauge points of the dipstick.

Pls I don't understand the part in red. Also I assume the quantity of oil will increase after installing the cooler. Lastly do you know any mechanic that is capable of doing the installation in Enugu?
