We will continue voting for true sons of Lagos until they reclaim their state. Put a migrant Yoruba professor against a mad indigenous Lagosian on the ballot and we'll vote for the indigenous Lagosian.
We've been doing this for decades and daring any consequence. From Obanikoro to Jim Agbaje and currently GRV. We know the true sons of Lagos and they'll always have a friend in us.
VOTE GRV, VOTE LP FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. |

Dialpad: Every reasonable person in lagos should stand up and vote for him.
He has done well for lagos.
Although I know some people filled with hate will think otherwise. We're not reasonable, sir. Our sentiment actually is to ensure that the aboriginal Lagosians take back control of their state. We believe rather sentimentally that true Lagosians will not loot their state's treasury with impunity or impoverish their people like Tinubu has done. |

Oba Akinolu threatened to drown us in the Lagoon in 2015, and we still voted overwhelmingly for Jimi Agbaje, a true Lagosian and nothing happened. You've started threatening again, you haven't learnt anything from the past. Don't worry, I'll be at my polling unit on Saturday. Sanwo-Olu should go back to his state of origin and demand gratitude from the Igbos living there. |

Triangles1: Politically religiously the north took away Kwara from the Yorubas, the same thing await them in Lagos, Igbos want to dominate and take over.
The best gift any human being can offer to a man is "peace of mind" and freedom to practice what they want, this was what Afonja gave aalimi in Ilorin and it went wrong for Afonja of Ilorin. The hospitality giving by Yorubas should not be taking for granted because the Igbos are becoming Russia Ukraine, the western world are playing some politics in the neck of Nigeria the earlier we wake up better for us. It's funny that those who captured Lagos from its indigenous owners are pointing fingers and accusing the Igbos of wanting to dominate it. You are the one who have stolen what rightfully belongs to Indigenous Lagosians. Return their inheritance and let them worry about who dominates it. |

That's classic land grabbing. |

Nobody is saying Lagos is not Yoruba land, what we are saying is that Lagos belongs to indigenous Lagosians. The fact that it is Yoruba land does not mean Yorubas who migrated from neighbouring states should capture the state and turn the indigenous people into slaves.
That has always been our argument and we will continue to support true sons of Lagos until they possess their rightful possessions. |

Biodun556: It is a criteria. It shows you are well connected to Lagos. Lagos is Yoruba land. The audacity of migrant Yorubas to dictate the criteria for being Governor in Lagos to indigenous Lagosians is worrisome. Are you a Lagosian? Who are you to impose your standards on indigenous Lagosians? Next Saturday, we non-indigenous will be joining hands with our Lagosian brothers to rescue their state from invaders so that you all will know your place and learn to respect your host. |

Darammliveth: Why do my Igbo friends pick so much interest in Lagos governorship election? Must you enforce this guy on them? Is he the best candidate like Peter Obi or because he is running under Labour party?
I noticed on Twitter since yesterday that it was Igbos that insist Obidients should vote this guy. Please don't cause tension in Lagos. I have a lot of Igbo friends both in my house, office and church. We look after each other but what's going on social media between Igbos and Yorubas always make me feel sad.
It will not be good if they started seeing Igbos as a threat to their land. My Igbo friends please stop enforcing the guy on us. I'm a lover of Peter Obi because of his track record. This Gbadebo never have such record. Must you enforce a migrant on Lagosians? GRV is a true Lago sian with traceable ancestry, why do you nomads impose yourselves on indigenous Lagosian? |

Which part is cooked up? That migrant Yorubas have christened an indigenous Lagosian Chinedu in order to erase his ancestry and possess his inheritance or that you used the same Omo Ibo strategy on Jimi Agbaje, another indigenous Lagosian? vannessa7: Every Yoruba is entitled to Lagos state just like a Katsina man feel entitled to Kano and a niger delta man has a feeling of belonging to PH. During the last civil war you don't see an osun man running back from Lagos because he is still in his geopolitical zone, it's the non Yorubas that had to reconsider staying in Lagos and if another civil war is ignited by igbo hatred the same scenario will still play out, you will realize Lagos does not belong to Igbos and never wil No sir, you can't be entitled to someone else's property. Geopolitical zone does not give an Imo man the right to invade Anambra and dominate it. A Kano man will never rule over Kaduna for 21 years with no end in sight. When will the likes of GRV, Jimi Agbaje, Obanikoro and other bonafide Lagosians rule their state? You guys called Jimi Agbaje Omo Ibo, and now you're calling GRV Chinedu. Seems like there's a pattern to christen every indigenous Lagosian with an Igbo name while the invaders are called omoluabi. I see a clever and well-coordinated attempt to erase the ancestry of true Lagosians. |

honeyB2018: Can you listen to yourself? Who's dragging the ownership of Lagos State with you? We know the Aworis own Lagos State, no doubt about it. But this is a democracy where everyone has the right to vote and be voted for. No one can tell you who to vote for, but other people from Yoruba land are coming here to dictate for you. Take a look. Awolowo from Ogun State played his politics here. M. K..O from Ogun State played his politics here. Solomon Olamilekan from Ogun State played his politics here. James Faleke from Kogi played his politics here. The son of Lai Mohammed from Kwara played his politics here. Deputy Gov of Lagos State, presently from Ogun State, played his politics here. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, from Iragbaji in Osun State, plays his politics here So when will an Awori man go to anywhere in South West and play his politics even as a councillor? You want to deny a bonafide son of Lagos State opportunity to rule Lagos State, because he didn't marry a Yoruba woman? Tinubu from Osun State, didn't marry from Yoruba land. So who's fooling who? For where? One naive Lagosjan tried in Ondo and they reminded him that he was not from there. One Yoruba my ass! |

shinealight: Like it or not Yoruba people are one….living in Yorubaland. You better start asking yourself where exactly you belong. Good luck! Indigenous Lagosians don't think so. Where is Sanwo Olu from? Can you trace his ancestry to the 3rd generation? Do you really expect non-indigenes to abandon an indigenous Lagosian and elect a migrant from Ondo? Nah! We don't roll like that. We acknowledge the existence of the indigenous people of Lagos and we shall continue electing the Jimi Agbajes, GRVs or any other true Lagosian on the ballot. Tell Sanwo-Olu to get his things ready, he's certainly travelling the same footpath his parents took from Ondo to Lagos soon. |

shinealight: Your attempt to divide the Yoruba people will amount to nothing because the Yoruba are one people and are free to live anywhere in Yorubaland. If and when we leave this contraption called Nigeria, we leave together as a people. You better start finding your way back to your region and cohabit with people with whom you share common values, like language, culture, dressing, etc….that is what makes for homogeneity and that is what will save your descendants if and when this contraption breaks down. Just my two cents! Indigenous Lagosians don't feel like one people with the invaders. You invaded their state, captured their Government and force them to pay abgero and taxes to a man from Osun in their own land. That's not living as one, that's classical enslavement. |
