I know a lot of you are going to blaim me buh please let your message to me come with an advise. We are in a state of real dilemma

Few months ago, i opened a thread on how we both found out we were both of AS genotype and how we couldn't stop having sex. Well as against some advices here, we didn't stop having sex until this past weekend wen we found out that she's pregnant.

I remember the month after we found out about the genotype, she told me she told her parents that she's gon get married to me no matter what, they practically begged her not to, telling her different stories of SS children they know

We haven't told anybody about the pregnancy yet . We are scared every single one of them will blame us and think we did it intentionally just to get married.

I love her and I'm sure she loves me too buh this pregnancy, the tot of it alone being SS is scaring the shit out of us.

I was going through classes this morning and i heard a teacher telling her students that there's magnet in trains that hold people when they walk on the railway when the train is coming.

She went on to explain that if the train is comin from a long distance and someone is on that track, that person will not be able to move and the train will crush and kill the person.

Good afternoon nairalanders, a couple of weeks ago, i came here to seek advice on how to handle knowing my wife to be is AS as i also am. A lot of people here said we should just break up that the marriage won't end well for us.

We both listened to your advices and decided to call off the wedding but now we can't seem to stay away from each other. I tried severally to not see her and I'm sure she also tried not to see me but most times we just found ourselves together having sex again.

I think about her almost every time so i told her to stop calling me, at least to get her off of my mind. But she may just call simply to say hello and from dere we are having sex again.

if you do decide to have children, there is a 1 in 4 chance PER CHILD that he/she may be sickle cell. That means if you decide to have 4 children, all of them can be SS.(True story)

to find out if the genotype of the child in the womb is AS/AA/SS through amniocentensis or chronic villus sampling will cost nothing less than 500k, if the child is confirmed you may have to abort it and try again. Now that is another kettle of fish altogether

if you do decide to give birth to an SS child, there is a cure for sickle cell, it is called bone marrow transplant, and it costs minimum of 25 million naira and can be an excruciating process.

We both discovered yesterday that we are both AS and we've fixed the wedding date already ( in 3 months). We love ourselves and we can't afford separation right now.

We talked at length yesterday on what exactly to do as people around us has been putting different kind of fears in us. we figured there might be couples out there who have also gone through this and we'll like to hear from them.
Is it a must we break up at this point after going through through so much or there's another way to go about this?
