Dont all Nigerians speak English? Religion is a non issue in Kenya and tribalism has its own unique roots largely due to the political class. They will speak even swahili to divide ppl. Realize that ppl do not feel as attached to the Swahili language in the same way that muslims or christians feel attached to their respective religions. The typical muslim fanatic feels like he has a duty to defend his religion at all costs and the same applies to the fanatic christian. The majority of those religious ppl btw are fanatical in a way that a Kenyan cannot be for swahili language.

Seriously, it beats me that tribalism thrives very well in a country like Kenya with a unifying lingua franca.
In Northern Nigeria, tribalism is rare. Religion is the real dividing factor because we had a unifying lingua franca (in Hausa language).

Swahili really appears useless to me as far as Kenya is concerned.

About the kenyan election, I cannot hide anything from you, kenyan elections are very very verrrry tight and it means a lot to most kenyans. Its almost a life or death thingy, you should ask nigerians resident here. I dont know who killed the guy, could be politically motivated but could also be a love triangle. He was killed alongside a 21 yr old lover and the guy was already married.
