7 Tips To Overcome Temptations & Addicted Sins.

As a Christian, after you genuinely give your life to Jesus and become a new person in Him, your soul is saved and washed by the blood of Jesus Christ, your conscience is cleansed by His blood and your spirit is restored in connection with God. But your body is not affected by the spiritual transformation.

When you are saved, you will not see any change of color or stature in your body as a result of the salvation of your soul. It’s the same unaffected body that will want to drag back you into sin, into old life, because your body has nothing to loose, your body has no heaven to go, your body is a mortal and dust. Your body is temporal, it’s earthly and will disappear by reason of time. It is that same body that the devil uses to drag people back to sin after they are saved. The body, your flesh, influenced by Satan, will demand contrary to the Spirit of God inside you, will want you to please it and displease God.

This flesh, your body, brings temptation and want to retain the ungodly pleasure it is used to, and that is addicted sin and temptation in your new life in Christ Jesus. Addicted sins are the sinful lifestyles, things or attitude we were used to before we became born again. And they want to come over again in our new lives in Jesus. And temptation, it is ungodly suggestions of Satan into your mind, simple! The purpose of temptation is to make us sin against God and against our own souls for destruction.

The object of temptation is from outside, but the desire and suggestion is from within. So then, temptation is a seduction to sin, either old addicted sin or new general, common sins. Temptation comes on a daily bases and on different bases; your personal relationship with God depends on how you overcome temptations.

We need to know that temptation itself is not a sin, either from within by our thought or from without through people or things, it is falling into temptation that becomes sin; it is also a sin to get or go close to the appearance of sin. It is sin to go or get close to what you know may lead to sin by using vain boldness which is tempting God and the Bible commands us not to tempt God. Temptation comes from within or without, from your mind, your body, your feeling; from people, from Satan; pressure, persuasion or persecution, but the good news is that the power lies on you to decide, to sign or silent the temptation; that is your power of decision. Here are 7 tips that will always help us to overcome every form of temptation or addiction on our ways:

(1) Hold Your Peace
The undiscovered truth about sin is that behind every sin in life is a demon, satanic spirit that inspires people to that sin. Every persuasion and pressure to sin comes from these assigned demons; they use people, our feeling, minds and flesh to persuade us. The real image was made clear when Satan was tempting Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus was seeing Satan clearly because Jesus could see everything. We may not see Satan or his demons when they come to persuade us to sin, but we should do what Jesus did. When this pressure of the addicted sins or persuasion to sin come, it will be as if you cannot survive it, as if you cannot do without it, you know what? Just hold your peace and look beyond the people or the objects of the temptation and do as Jesus did: rebuke the demon behind in Jesus name. "Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan!" and the next thing, "Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him." Matthew 4:10, 11.

Don't bother yourself about the pressure within or without, satan is behind them, pushing them to persuade you. You may feel as if you are so weak to resist, but don't fall anyway. Since you don't use your power, you use the Word of God and name of Jesus to resist satan who is behind every sin. The pressure to sin, to have sex, to smoke, to lie, to masturbate, etc will overwhelm your body and feeling as if you will die if you don't do it, it is not so; you just hold your peace with God's word and you will see the feeling going down. The demon of that sin cannot stay long, he comes within few minutes, if you hold it and resist in that period, and you will overcome. That is the truth about temptation and addicted sins.

(2) Take a situation at a time
When temptation comes in an overwhelming manner, the devil will whisper to you,"Look, you are so weak, you cannot survive this. Even if you resist it now, what about tomorrow? What about next week? What about next month? Look at yourself, pretending. You can't make it, it is better to surrender now, God will understand." That is a plain lie from the pit of hell; the truth is that when you overcome it now, you will overcome it later. Each victory will grant you more strength against the next temptation. Take it at a time; God who helps you to overcome this will help you better to overcome the next one. Don't be bothered by tomorrow temptation, for grace comes when the temptation comes. "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:12-14

(3) Think the right way!
The beginning of falling into temptation is by thinking about the benefits of the temptation. So, don’t think about the benefits you will enjoy in that temptation, but think about the Word of God, think about the displeasure the temptation will bring to your Lord and Savior, think about the WORD of God and use it to resist the devil. Devil will suggest the benefits, pleasure, gain, etc in the temptation, but you must reject such and think about the Word of God and how terrible you will displease your God- displeasing your loving Savior? ….How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9

(4) Compare!
Compare the magnitude of the consequences, of breaking your promise to God just for the minor/momentary pleasure of the temptation. How will you loose everything just for nothing? Consider your dedication unto God, the grace of God upon your life, the anointing of God, the growing nature of God in your life, the joy of salvation, the peace and presence of God and the confidence of heaven; think about how everything will vanish if you fall into that temptation in which you may not even have a second chance?

Satan will present temptation to sin as simple as doing it and going back to Jesus for forgiveness. That yours is to sin and God's is to forgive, that God will understand. All these are satanic devices and you must not be ignorant of them.

…..Hebrews 12:15, "looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; 16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. 17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears."

(5) Ask Yourself!
Ask yourself if the passing benefits of the temptation are enough to make you sin and displease your Savior who loves you so much. Just be sincere with yourself! … How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9

(6) Run!
In every temptation, there is a root of escape, so after you think well, you must run immediately from the scene of the temptation. Don’t wait for another change, run now! Running can be leaving the place immediately, blocking access to the person or object of the temptation, it can be resounding and reaffirming your stand for the Lord, it can also be informing somebody about the temptation (this can be your partner, your parents or pastor. You need to know that when you are struggling with a temptation, sharing with the right person brings relief and help. But if your partner or pastor is the source of the sinful temptation, there is always a right, godly person to share with. Don’t keep it to yourself alone.) Running can also be cutting of interaction, relationship or visitation, it can be destroying or deleting the stuffs that lead to temptation, it can also be excusing yourself from the scene and so on.

Bible says, “Watch & Pray”, it’s not, “pray and watch”. The first thing is to watch, which is running. Watch, not speaking in tongues, not praying and staying there, run for your life! Genesis 39:12, “that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside."

(7) Pray Always! I
f running from the appearance of temptation is watching, then praying is praying. Praying for God’s grace, strength, guidance and deliverance from temptation every day even before any temptation comes, since temptation is bound to come our ways. Matthew 6:13, "And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen"

……. then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the Day of Judgment. 2 Peter 2:9

I SAW THEM IN HELL, THEY EXPLAINED WHY THEY ENDED UP IN HELL

When I looked at the people who were going up with the Lord, they were very calm, at peace and full of joy.
When I looked down at the people in destruction, I was surprised because some of them are supposed to be the people of God that I know (they are still alive). They were crying out in agony and pain. Yet the Lord
said there was nothing He could do except they repent. At this point I had questions in my mind. Then the Lord told me to ask questions.
Q. Where is the destination of these people who are going up with You?
A. They are coming to be with Me where I prepared for them.
Q. For those going down in destruction, where is their destination?
A. They are going down to hell except they repent.
Q. Why are these people in destruction?

1. Hypocrisy – what they are in their mouth is not what they are in their heart.
Matt 15:7-9:
“Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
2. Submitting to the spirit of paranoid that does not allow them to see sin as God sees it, thus making light what is serious in His sight. This spirit works directly against the Spirit of Truth.
John 16:13-14:
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you”.
Consequently, they are not pure in heart, for only the pure in heart will see God (Matt 5:
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Heb. 12:14.

MY GOING DOWN INTO HELL
When the Lord told me that the people in destruction are going to hell except they repent, then I asked the Lord “Can I see the place?” He said “Yes, you can see hell because you asked in a right way”.
The Lord said “Come with me” and the next thing I saw is that we were walking together in hell. When we got to hell, the Lord said to me, “This is the place you wanted to see, don’t be afraid because of who I will allow you to see, and what I will show you.” The place was very terrible. It was dark and I could hear screams of billions upon billions of people, men and women. Though the place was dark, I could still see because the light of God was shining. His face was shining like the sun in its strength. I saw the flames of fire looking reddish and multitudes of people as though they were swimming in the fire. The people I was allowed to speak to were in their individual pits of fire. These pits of fire are literally billions upon billions! They would try to come out of the pit, but it was as if the fire would melt them. I saw billions upon billions of demons running around. These demons were more or less making mockery of those there.
The Lord said “I will allow you to talk with three men who were top preachers from your country but are now in hell.”These are people I never met or knew on earth. Each of these men introduced himself to me and acknowledged that he deserved to be there in hell.
The first person I talked with was Archbishop Benson Idahosa (Church of God Mission International).
When I saw his state of suffering in hell, then I asked him some questions.
Q. Why are you here?
A. Covetousness and I was full of self-righteousness while I was on earth. And I deserve to be here.
Q. Are you used to the pains and the suffering?
A. No. The suffering is new every day.
Q. For how long have you been here?
A. Thirteen (13) years
Q. What if I want to come here where you are?
A. If you want to, you are welcome.
While I was talking with him his flesh would melt as if acid was poured on his face. All the time he was talking with me, he was in torment in his own pit of fire.
The next person I talked with was Baba Paul Gindiri (New Life for All). While he was looking at me, he was screaming in his own pit of fire. As he would try to talk, fire would come from his mouth melting his throat. Then the throat came back again and he was able to talk with me. As he was talking there was fire burning even inside his head and he was in real torment.
Q. Why are you here?
A. My works brought me here
Q. What works?
A. Guile (deceit, hypocrisy, falsehood)
Q. But I was touched by some of your messages I have listened to, yet you are here. Is your message that we are listening to also going to bring us here?
A. No
Q. Why?
A. If you allow the Spirit of the Lord to lead you and not your human mind, your life will glorify God through the messages.
The next person I spoke with was Pastor Philip Mokungah (Oasis Church, Plateau state). He was talking with me with his head upside down. The Lord says that was the state of his punishment at that hour.
Q. Who are you and why are you here?
A. I was Pastor Philip Mokungah. Now I know I am nothing and my self-will brought me here. And I’ve already sowed the seed of self-will and selfish desire in my family. The more it grows the more my punishment in hell increases. I was walking right with God then I gave room to the devil and he cut me off. He succeeded through my desire and at the end I divorced my wife. This was the first step that separated me from God. And I took it very lightly. Now I am here as a result of my self-will.
He also gave me a message for his family.
While I was talking with him, I also saw a woman who was a very popular female preacher from Nigeria – She introduced herself saying, “See me, see me, see me, Bimbo Odukoya,” but I was not allowed to talk to her but she was allowed to talk to me. She said what brought her there was secret sin, though she did not state what the secret sin was. The Lord made it clear that it was iniquity that took her there.
Ten other people spoke to me but I was not allowed by the Lord to speak to them. Eight of them are of other nationalities (Non-Nigerians).

There was a man I met in Indonesia where I went preaching in 2009. He said he was in hell because of wrong counseling. He was a counselor who was giving people wrong counsel.
One of them said he is there because of the spirit of irresponsibility.
Another said he came there because of gossip.
Another said he is there because of the spirit of bitterness.
A lady said she came there because of lying in the name of God.
There was a young man who said he was arrested while on earth for preaching the gospel and the devil cut him off in prison where he compromised his faith.
There was a woman who was just wailing but I could not pick out her words.
There was an elderly man who said he wished he was me because looking at me I was not feeling what he was feeling.

I saw a young girl with a very long hair with different colors. She was a cultic girl who was in the choir of her church. The last person was a young man. He said he called himself into the ministry because he desired to help God. The hand of the Lord was not on him and therefore no grace. He went to so-called men of God seeking anointing of the Holy Spirit. As they prayed, they transferred the same evil spirits in them into him. He gave a message – “Be careful of those you allow to lay hands on you.”

The three men the Lord allowed me to speak with were very popular preachers. God, however, is not a respecter of persons for He is a just judge.
Acts 10:34-35:
“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him. Rom 2:11
“For there is no respect of persons with God. Rom. 11:22:
“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.”

Coming out of Hell
After the Lord brought me out of hell, I was back in the light were I was before. Then I said, “Lord, can I ask a question?” He answered, “Why not”. “Lord, why did you allow me to have this experience. I’m afraid seeing these men in hell?” Then the Lord said to me, “I allowed you to see these men in hell because of the message you are carrying for this generation.” I now asked the Lord, “Can I carry this message of seeing these people who labored in Your vineyard, and yet ended up in hell?” The Lord said to me, “That is their choice. They knew the truth but they refused to confront themselves with the truth but others. You can carry the message because of the anointing that is upon your life”. “But Lord, You anointed these men as well and yet they have ended up in hell!” “It is because of their choice. If you also choose the wrong road like them, you will end up where they are. But my desire is that you continue on the right road”. This warning, of course, applies to all those going up with the Lord in glory! “What about those people who listen to their messages, would they be saved or lost like them?” “If they believe in Me, it is not their message, it is My message”.

Then the Lord raised His two hands and was leaving. Then I asked Him, “Lord, when are you coming to take us?” He said, “I Myself do not know, only the Father”; as He said this, He was looking up towards heaven. After this He went up. There were many angels with Him in the clouds and they went back with Him.
The end of the vision
After they left, as I looked, I was shocked to find myself still in the place of prayer where I first knelt before the Lord the previous day, 2nd of September 2011. I realized I had been with the Lord for about twenty-four hours yet there was no weariness or weakness in my body. Then an anointing came upon me and the names of some of the people I had seen in the vision began coming to me especially the lost ministers, for prayer. I was given specific prayer points for each of them. The general prayer for all the lost ministers is for God to open their spiritual eyes to see the need to confront themselves with the gospel of Truth.

Why this vision?
God is a merciful God who does not want us to perish.
1) This vision is for you personally, you need to view your own life, forget about the ministers mentioned there. You personally need to settle your relationship with God. You personally need to settle your account with God before it is too late. Are you genuinely saved? Are you living a holy and godly life or you are following the modern prosperity Christianity?
2) You need to repent now; you need to experience genuine salvation now before it is too late. It is not about saying, "God have mercy on me, Lord I need you to help me" but you also need to take step for your new life, you need to surrender your self and sins to Jesus by yourself, God will not do that for you.
3) Are you a child of God? Examine yourself. We all need to examine ourselves with the word of God. What is those aspects, habits in our lives that we have been overlooking, excusing or we think they don’t matter? Those things can hinder us from entering heaven if we don’t repent now. What is the restitution to make or who to forgive? Please, let’s all settle everything now. Let’s search our lives with God’s word and surrender all as we pray.
4) Flee from false teachings of worldly indulgences and prosperity focus. Those preachers who emphasize on prosperity more than purity, who tell you about earthly blessings more than the second coming of Jesus are lost ministers, irrespective of their popularity and prophecies. Read Matthew 7:21, 23.
Repent, confess your sins and forsake them, accept Jesus as your Lord and start a new life in Him. Look unto Jesus not any Pastor or Bishop.
NOTE: Remember your confession of sin is useless without repentance, readiness to forsake them.

IF YOU ATTEND ANY OF THESE 3 CHURCHES IN NIGERIA, YOU NEED TO KNOW THESE..

RCCG: Redeemed Christian Church of God
If you attend RCCG, Redeemed Christian Church of God, you should know that you are in a covenant but corrupted church, a church with godly foundation through His servant, Pa Akindayomin, but along the way it was mutilated through modern parish system by Pastor Adeboye, though God strictly warned the church never to copy other churches. Because Pastor Adeboye was hungry for population, he spent many years searching for how to populate the church until Satan gave him alternative.

So if you are member or minister in RCCG, you must know you are in a backsliding church, worldly system, worldly ambition, and worldly politics. My advice for you is that you must not base your Christian standard by the standard of RCCG, if you do, you will land in hell. Get your spiritual source for growth outside RCCG, be a light of Christ there as a member or as a minister, and if you find yourself compromising with them, then leave the church. The only reason I can advise anyone to remain in RCCG is if God want to use the person to save or be a light in that church because it is full of darkness of worldliness, politics and evil forces.

WINNER CHAPEL: LIVING FAITH
If you attend Winners chapel, you are in a wrong church that has nothing related to heavenly vision and no ambition of heaven for its members. A church which does not believe in restitution, which teaches about rapture maybe once in a blue moon. If you love your soul, I will advise you to run from this church and any church of sort. The founder of the church has lost touch with God long time ago even before the church became popular.

If you are a member of Winners chapel and you love holiness and righteous living then you are a bastard “winner” because the church does not teach Christ for holy, godly or preparation for the rapture, but to claim everything by faith and live a fake Christian life.

DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH
If you attend Deeper life and follow what they teach there, you will make it to heaven. This is a godly church but has lost its first love. But you must pray against the spirit of “deeper life” that is the spirit of hypocrisy, selfishness, gossip and love of material things of the world. If you are a member of Deeper life, and you don’t have a car or your building, you know what it means. The love of money, care for building and buying care, selfishness. If you see yourself useless because you don’t have a car or your building, then some things are wrong with you.

As a single sister, if God leads a Christian brother is your God’s choose husband, but because he is not a member of Deeper Life, you or your church rejects him, you know what? God will not blame your church, your church will lose nothing, but you will lose everything after you marry a wrong brother in your church, and God will find you to blame, because nothing of such in the Bible that you must marry in your denomination, but only in the Lord.

If God gives you drama ministry, but because you are in a church that doesn’t have vision for drama ministry like Deeper Life, and you abandon your divine ministry, you can’t act or release Christian movies, at the end of your life, what excuse are you going to give? Who are you going to blame?

If God gives you the ministry of music, to sing His word all over the world, through album, CD, VCD, but because you are in a denominational church that restricts you inside your church alone, and you can’t fulfill your ministry, then what excuse are you going to give God at the end for not fulfilling your ministry?

Let Bible be your standard and the Holy Spirit your Great Teacher.

MY ADVICE FOR MINISTERS OF GOD
If you have a God's given ministry to fulfill in this end time without falling away or compromise, two things you must take careful note of:

1, Financial provision for your family and ministry. You must get this clear as you are getting into the ministry; are you going to work with your two hands like Apostle Paul to meet your family's needs, having a business, part time work? I will advise you not to depend or anyone or people for financial provision for your ministry or family, the same people supporting you financially may lead you to compromise. You must be content with the little provision God makes available for you, and if things are hard financially, you must wait till your change comes. Please look unto God and not any man, no matter how promising they may be.

Last year, a brother called me on phone here in Abuja and asked about our ministry’s office, and I told him we don’t have one yet, then he asked if I wanted one, and I said yes, but not expecting anything from him and I never called him back. And following week he called and explained himself that he called me the previous month, he said he read one of my posts on Facebook and he was not happy about it and he wanted me to go and remove it. The man sound funny to me, and I told him the reality. Later he said he wanted to come to fellowship with us before he travel out, but I told him we don’t run public church program, and we don’t allow strangers in our family fellowship.

If you depend on people in your ministry for financial support, you may be afraid to tell them the truth and they may even want to command you in the future.

The best thing I can advise a minister is to get his financial source settled with God and be content. Do not be expectant of financial support from people coming under your ministry, it is a sin.

When you see people who are financially okay coming to your ministry, and you begin to be expectant of something from them, before you know, you will be partial, you will want to attend to them first, pray for them first and visit them first – that is the beginning of downfall of a minister of God.

The major thing to put in mind is contentment and total trust in the Lord for your financial provision, not looking to some set of people.

2, Associations With Other Ministers or Ministry. This is another means the devil is using to make many ministers and their ministries fall away. You don’t want to be a lone ranger, you want to belong, you want to invite and be invited, so you are trying to accept and believe some little, little worldliness and unbiblical heresies.

Do not be in haste to get workers or people who will do the work of God with you, it is better you stay alone and do little you can do without compromise than to do many things with many people who are mixed multitude.

For example, in drama ministries, I see many ungodly and worldly Christians working with some drama ministries, because they need people to act for them so they don’t mind involving sinners or worldly Christians, they don’t mind involving drama ministers who do not believe the same standards they believe. I have seen several drama ministers who are toning, bleaching their skin – that is not film trick, it is real. Now, what does a Christian who tones or bleaches skin has to offer?

Some churches hire sinful musical instrumentalists, all because they just want the work of God to be done so they involve ungodly people, but they become disqualified at the end. Now, is it the melody of a Christian music that matters most or the message and its inspiration?

When I notice worldliness in a minister or ministries, I immediately detach myself from them. I better stay alone with God and maintain Bible standard than to associate with many ministers and ministries and miss it at the end.

Do not seek to associate with people in the work of ministry and get yourself disassociated from God at the end.

BIBLE STUDY: GIDEON’S EPHOD
(Good intention plus wrong implementation leads to bad implication and makes bad person.)

“Then Gideon said to them, “I would like to make a request of you, that each of you would give me the earrings from his plunder.” For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites… Then Gideon made it into an ephod and set it up in his city, Ophrah. And all Israel played the harlot with it there. It became a snare to Gideon and to his house.” Judges 8:24-27

Gideon made a gold Ephod after victory over Midian, but it later became snare to him and the children of Israel. The intention of Gideon for making the golden ephod might be for a symbol of victory for the children of Israel that would remain and remind generations of Israel of the uncommon victory the Lord gave them over the Midianites.

So basically, the intention of Gideon was to set a symbol of victory, he was not the first leader of Israel to set such symbol, before him was Joshua who raised a great heap of stones as symbol of victory over the Ai and its king in Joshua 8:29. It was also the same thing prophet Samuel did between Mizpah and Shen which Samuel called Ebenezer after victory over the Philistine. 1 Samuel 7:11, 12, “And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and drove them back as far as below Beth Car. 12 Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

Such was the sincere intention of Gideon. But here came the problem – the wrong implementation of a sincere intention. Instead of Gideon to use stone for the setting symbol of God’s victory for His people as Joshua did at the river of Jordan, and as Samuel did for Ebenezer, Gideon did it in a wrong way by using gold, and this became a snare to him and his family.

The implication was that the children of Israel began to worship the ephod, they turned it to an idol and that distracted them from the living God; this became a snare to Gideon and his household, it has a terrible implication on them, “And all Israel played the harlot with it there. It became a snare to Gideon and to his house.” Judges 8:27

LESSONS TO LEARN
1, It is not enough to have good intention, but we must also implement our good intention in a godly way. It is not enough to say, “God sees my heart, my good intention” but men must also see your good and godly implementation, how you carry out your good intention. The Bible admonishes us to have a good conscience before God and men. Acts 24:16, “ This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.” When we carry out an intention in a wrong way, which will then have a bad implication on us or others, God will judge us as evildoers even if our initial intentions were good.

For example, you have a good intention for wearing clothes, but the clothes expose your body or extravagantly expensive, even though you have a good intention, you will be counted with ungodly because you don’t care of the implication of your action.

We must be mindful and watchful of our implementation as well as our intention; our mind must be good and our move must be godly. Good intention with ungodly implementation is equal to an ungodly person.

2, Let’s learn from the past people/history for our better present. Gideon wasn’t the first person to set a sign of victory and he was not the last. He could have learned from the past people by using stone, not gold. Stones were used as symbols of victory of God, but gold is for the services of God. We serve God with our gold and not through our gold, meaning you can serve God without gold, it is not a must to have gold before you can serve God. Apostle Peter said, “Silver and gold I don’t have” Acts 3:6, and he served God. The preachers and churches that emphasize on gold more than godliness are end time false preachers, those who preach about prosperity, breakthrough, favor and signs and wonders more that purity are Judas Iscariot of this generation. The teaching of modern preachers that financial prosperity will help you server God better is disguised idolizing money which is the doctrine of mammon. You will never see such a thing in the Bible that riches will help you to serve God better. At the end, the people of Gideon began to serve God through the golden image and it was unacceptable service of idolatry.

To learn from the history does not mean you should follow every method used in the past, but it is to learn a message from the past.

3. Using expensive materials to impress people in the name of serving God will only distract you and the people from serving God acceptably. When we use expensive materials to appreciate God and impress people, it will have a serious implication on the people eventually; they will soon defocus their attention from God and focus on those materials. That could be applicable to Gideon, when he used gold instead of stone to erect a symbol of victory, and later children of Israel were running after the golden image instead of God. This is more applicable to the churches of today, we want to impress people with miracle programs, prayers and preaching; along the way, and people have forgotten purity and preparation for heaven and now running after miracles.

Why are the churches of today spending multi-million dollars on church building projects? Why does every denomination today, including those who claim to believe and preach holiness, centers on multiple multi-million church auditorium building? It is because every denomination wants to impress the world outside that they can build the best and beautiful headquarters; while they continue incessant multi-million building projects from headquarters, to state, even going inside the bush to build cities, they are deviated from the Bible ordinance to build people. How can a church build a multi-million church auditorium without building a free Primary or Secondary school, without distribution of daily need to the needy members, without daily care for the widows and fatherless? It is simply because they care to impress the world than implementing the Word of God; you can’t do both together at the same time.

A church cannot impress people and please God at the same time. The early church did not have a single multi-million auditorium or headquarters, but they had stores from where they distributed to the needs of their thousands of members. Acts 4:34-37. You cannot impress people and please God at the same time. You know why your big church does not have free Primary schools? You know why your church does not have stores where to distribute for the needs of their members? Do you know it will be always impossible for your church to follow the example of the early church by distributing the tithes and offerings to meet the needs of the members? It is because your church wants to impress the world with big and beautiful physical edifice. Another thing is that, it is not possible for your church to have a rich, extravagant pastor and caring church at the same time. How will your church’s university be free or affordable when your Senior Pastor flies with private jet? Seeking to impress people will only leads to deviation from the Bible truth.

Your church aside, what about you? Is it not because you want to impress the world with a good and beautiful car that you can’t assist your own family members and brethren in your church? Is it not because you want to finish your personal building project by fire by force this year that your eyes of kindness and goodness are closed and blind towards people around you, even your own brethren in your church and family members? Is it not because you want to take your child to “expensive” school that you can’t afford to help another family’s children to school? Like Gideon, impressing people with expensive stuffs will only ensnare you from obeying the Bible truth, simple. As it is applicable to a church, a minister, so to individual Christians.

The error of Gideon in the Bible is just like the error and problem of many Pastors and churches today, who think the best way to serve God is by using expensive materials, by building multi-millions church auditorium, that the best way the world will see God’s glory upon them is not by building free schools, free Library, or free training centers, but by having full A/C church; they think the best way the world will see the nature of Christ in the lives of their members is not having a caring heart but by parking latest and expensive cars in front of their church buildings; the same thing is applicable to individual Christians who think the best way people can see the glory of God in their lives is by using expensive cars, by building mansion, and so on. The truth is that does God’s glory shows forth through showing off or sharing? Is God gloried by building multi-million churches or by building multiple free schools? Do people see the likeness and goodness of Christ through you when you use expensive cars or when you help many in needs? Do you feel joyful in your spirit when you get the best and expensive things for yourself without much caring for brethren, family and people around you? Are you comfortable in your spirit when your children go to expensive school without sponsoring a single child to school?

The old time Christianity of the Bible is not about impressing people, it is not about showing off, but it is simply appreciating God and showing the nature and kindness of Christ through our gestures. For us to receive a “well done good servant” at the end of our journey on earth, we should focus on serving God, and showing the kindness of God through our lives. Stop impressing people by material, but share, bear the fruit of the Spirit and live a sanctified life.

PROSPERITY & POVERTY
I read that about 87 millions Nigerians are extremely poor, despite the fact that majority of preaching and prayers of churches where those extremely poor people attend are all about prosperity. So if you still believe in these incessant prosperity preaching and prayers of your pastors, of pastor Adeboye, of bishop Oyedepo, and all others prosperity preachers, then you are either a scam actor or a scam victim.

The priority prosperity preaching system is from the pit of hell, it will NEVER deliver any community or nation from poverty, it only works for the preachers who preach the prosperity and impoverish the people who part away with their hard earned resources.

Prosperity preaching or prosperity focus or prayer does not make a nation rich, but rather it makes the people corrupt, love money, want money by all means and in return make majority become extremely poor. Nigeria is a vivid case study.

There is nowhere in the Bible - Old or New Testaments - that says preaching, praying or listening to prosperity messages will make a nation or people rich.

But in the Bible, we have secret of prosperity for a nation and same is applicable to individual persons.

The Bible says, "Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34. Prosperity preaching does not exalt a nation or a person.

If you need original exaltation and prosperity from that that will last which has more value for eternal life than temporal earthly riches, then you need to live a righteous, godly, honest and sincere life with hardworking.

WHY MANY CHRISTIANS WILL MISS THE RAPTURE!
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Luke 13:24

Since Rapture will not happen twice, but once, wise Christians will do more to focus and strive to be counted worthy. Why will many miss the rapture even after they are born again and serving God? Here are 7 common reasons in which any of them can hold back a Born again Christian:

(1) UNDONE RESTITUTION Acts 24:16
After you are genuinely saved, there may be some wrongs of the past that need to be corrected in your present new life in Jesus. Restitution includes restoring things wrongly acquired, revealing lies and deceptions and reconciling with people we offended, and also forgiving with all our hearts people who offended us, no matter how terrible. Forgiveness from the heart is part of restitution and many Christians, ministers of God will miss rapture and heaven just because of un-forgiveness and bitterness. Matthew 6:14, 15.

UNPAID & INESSENTIAL DEBT, when you have the power to pay but postponing or does not want to pay, this can hinder Christians from being raptured or entering heaven. And a serious minded Christian will be wary of unnecessary debts of buying inessential stuffs in credit.

(2) JUST A LITTLE SIN Galatians 5:9
Many will miss rapture and entrance to heaven not because they are not born again and serving God, not because they are committing serious sins, but just because of a little, besetting sin, just little but too heavy to hold people down from making rapture. Can you imagine that wearing tight clothes, tops that show a woman's cleavage or transparent clothes would hinder so many godly sisters from making the rapture? When the Holy Spirit calls your attention to the little sin, you excuse yourself that it doesn’t matter, everybody is doing it or it is your own weakness since everybody has a weakness. It may be little anger, envy, jealousy, even in the work of God. Little, little lies, using people’s or your office’s materials for your personal purpose without taking permission. You think it doesn’t matter? It does. Let’s repent NOW. Common sins will commonly hinder common Christians and ministers back.

(3) LITTLE WORLDLINESS 1 John 2:16
Little worldliness will hinder so many Christians from making the rapture. This little worldliness does not matter to many Christians and churches today. The worldly music which you call normal, worldly movies, magazines (fashion, entertainment or pornography), TV programs inspired by Satan (American Idol, African Idols, Big Brother Africa, MTN Project Fame, Gulder Ultimate Search, Dance shows, African magic, animated cartoon, etc. ) Also worldly dress (wearing tops, blouses that show the trace of your breasts as a woman or that reveals your back, tight, transparent or shot dress) Many Christian women are tapped by Satan with worldly dress unknowingly but they will know after the rapture. Those who have died have gotten to know already but too late.

(4) OVER CONFIDENCE 1 Corinthians 10:12
Over-confidence will hinder many believers from entering heaven. You see the shortcoming of others without seeing yours, without daily searching your life with the Word of God and prayer for forgiveness and daily sanctification. This category of people believe they can never make mistake after they are saved, they believe they are once and entirely sanctified and no need for daily prayer for cleansing and sanctification, they are bound in bountiful hypocrisy which is one of the most terrible sins- hypocrisy. Believing that you can’t make mistake after you are saved is a serious mistake. Tenderness and watchfulness serve better.

(5) UNCONFESSED SIN 1 Timothy 5:24
Unconfessed sin remains a secret sin. You did something wrong and you realize it and confessed to God but concealed it from people, you refuse to confess to necessary partners or people even after the Holy Spirit has ministered to you to expose it, you are listening to the wrong preachers and your wrong motive and defending yourself that you have confessed to God so that should settle it. This will block many ears from hearing the sound of the Trumpet of rapture. Please, you must confess to one another, James 5:16, as the case may be, why will you miss rapture just because of this little shortcoming?

(6) LITTLE COMPROMISE 1 Corinthians 5:6
Little compromise at workplace, in your business, to get contract, job or promotion; little compromise to get your documents and papers - being smart. Little compromise in examination hall, in marital relationship or in your tithes and offerings; these little, little, overlooked stuffs will hold and hinder many Believers and Ministers from making heaven. If you are careful, the compromise of your society, of your church and idolized Pastors will not infect and affect you.

(7) LACK OF LOVE 1 John 4:8
Do you think it’s possible to make heaven without love? And does your life shows the love of Christ? Please read 1 Corinthians 13:1-8. Most churches and Christians lack love. Love is kindness and expresses goodness to all men, especially brethren, it helps and shares. The syndrome of “sowing” into the lives of big pastors, the several church projects and personal projects have blinded many Christians from loving and helping people around them.

Purity without love is hypocrisy, love without purity is lust, but real purity means PURE LOVE. Christian life without love is hypocrisy.

Please, we should all search our lives with the light of God’s Word, let’s repent now and confess and correct everything as the Holy Spirit calls our attention. Irrespective of our spiritual attainments and positions, God is not a respecter of any man. As long you still see yourself as a little child in God’s hand, you must be humble and careful enough to look into your life. Let’s ask God to sanctify us, and let’s also be more watchful from now, be more vigilant and prayerful everyday as we ask for God’s grace and mercy to be counted worthy, we all need these, we are all striving and no man is a superman, until we get to heaven. May God help us and see us through to the end in Jesus name.

GRACE WITH LABOUR
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10.

Grace doesn’t cancel the effect of work and labor in Christian life, ministry or in our personal life, but rather it enhance more labor and work. The more grace we have, the more laborious and hardworking we are to become. What is grace? Grace is God’s enablement, empowerment to do something extra-ordinary in our Christian living, in our ministry and in our personal living.

VAIN GRACE
When we receive grace from God and we fail to add our own part of work, then the grace will be in vain – becomes useless. Apostle Pail said he became fruitful and so effective in the Lord because he made use of the grace of God in his life by working hard to make the grace fruitful. .. and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly. 1 Corinthians 15:10.

Here is what the word of God says, “We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” 1 Corinthians 6:1.

When you have the grace to give your life to Jesus, but refuses and think you will always have the grace, then the grace will be in vain and you will be lost forever. After you give your life to Jesus, God gives you grace to grow, but if you do not make use of it; the grace will be in vain. When God gives you grace to preach to somebody somewhere, but you refuse and thinking another time will come, you have allowed the grace to be in vain. When you have the grace to do restitution but delay it, then the grace has been in vain. Grace of God without our own working to make use of it goes in vain. 1 Corinthians 6:1.

GRACE + WORK = FRUITFULNESS IN CHRISTIAN LIVING
The effect of grace in Christian life is not a license to live a careless Christian life or falling and rising in sin, thinking the grace of God is always available. What the grace of God does in our Christian life is to empower and enable us to overcome sin and temptation, to work righteousness, self-denying, godly life, and also to be fruitful in the work of God. Titus 2:11, 12, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.”

Purpose of Grace
Some erroneous pastors and misled Christians believe that grace is meant to enjoy with a careless living, that, “we are in the era of grace so you can live as you like, dress as you like and the grace of God covers you” They say, “As long you have confessed Jesus as your Savior, you have unlimited grace to continue in sin, that your work of righteousness is like a filthy rag, so no need of stressing yourself to work righteousness, all you need is grace and grace alone.” Such a teaching like this is not only erroneous but a self-destructive. In the first instance, if you believe in grace, what is the purpose of grace? If you know the need for something but you don’t know the purpose of it, then it will become in vain for you or even cause you problem. And that is what is happening to many Christians today, receiving the grace of God in vain, because grace alone is useless, grace without working to make use of it is in vain.

The purpose of grace is to make use of it to do above human power, by the grace of God. The grace of God helps us to overcome temptation, to overcome sin, that is to discontinue in sin, not to continue in sin, because grace does not work in sin but work against sin, and we cannot continue in both together. We can either, continue in sin and perish or receive the grace, make use of it by adding watchfulness, vigilance, prayerfulness and meditation in God’s word to live above sin. We cannot not continue in sin, when we knowing fully well we are sinning against God, and expect the grace of God to abound in our lives. We have got to choose one – grace to discontinue living in sin or living in sin to discontinue grace, but both cannot continue together, says the Bible. Romans 6:1, 2, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!”

We must make use of the grace of God now by surrendering our lives to Him, confessing and forsaking our sins, and in our Christian lives by living to overcome sin and temptation by the grace of God and also being fruitful in the work of God, in evangelism and edification. May the grace of God never be in vain in our lives in Jesus name.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Hebrews 12:28.

BE VIGILANT!
1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

I woke up to pray as supposed, but my eyes were heavy and not clear of the sleep so I started running slowly around in the room as I was praying. Then I felt relieved of the sleep, but not too long as I was praying I began to feel asleep again. Knowing fully well that if I should seat down or lie down I would sleep off, I began the exercise again in the room as I continued praying. After about 1 hour my eyes were cleared off the sleep and I felt I could kneel down in front of a chair; as I knelt down praying, not too long I was dozing again, I had to resume jumping around till I almost finished the prayer. I learnt a lesson from the incident: Vigilance till the end is very important in Christian race.

After you surrender your life to Jesus, you began the race, overcoming sin, self and satanic devices through the grace of God; you need to continue to be vigilant every time without relaxing because Satan never relaxes on you. When somebody overcomes sin of sexual immorality, Satan will introduce masturbation as if that does not matter. When you stop fighting, then Satan may bring anger which you must still overcome. When you overcome malice, the devil may bring gossip, after you have overcome telling lies, Satan may bring pretending habit. When you overcome a worldly lifestyle, Satan will introduce another.

If care is not taken, you may over look the later and think you are okay. That is the reason we must be vigilant every time. Many serious, devoted Christians and ministers today are trapped by Satan with little sins which we think do not matter. We may focus on overcoming big sins and claim to be holy, but sins like bitterness, envy, jealousy; gossip, rancor, subtle pride, selfishness, etc may not take our attention except we are very vigilant. God does not demand our 99% righteousness but 100%.

When you overcome a particular sin today, Satan may give you a break to allow you to relax and strike back shortly.

How can we be vigilant?

(1) WATCHFULNESS. We must be watchful every time, every moment over our thoughts, tongues, temper and actions; and ready to heed to correction immediately when the Holy Spirit corrects us.

(2) PRAYER. Daily prayer is very important. We can’t live fervent Christian life without fervent prayer life. In our prayer we confess our weaknesses to God, ask His grace and strength to overcome them. For example, if you want to spend 30 minutes to pray after praises, you should spend at least 20mins to pray on your spiritual life for grace and strength everyday. We should daily pray that God should search us and sanctify us. When you discover an ungodly habit or thought creeping in, take it to God in prayer to be purified.

(3) BIBLE READING. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17. One of the major purposes of Bible reading is to be corrected and cleansed by the Word of God. God’s Word is a light.

So, you see the importance of daily personal devotion of prayer and Bible reading? Don’t relax in your Christian life in the name of being matured Christian and then fall short at the end. I better see myself as a baby Christian and serving God with trembling and carefulness than to relent in the name of being a matured Christian. No room to celebrate victory in Christian race until we get to heaven, Satan does not rest or relent on every serious Christian, he always devising, and so we must always be vigilant! Christian life is not a bed of roses and relaxing in prosperity and convenience, but it’s a batter, a race, a wrestling. But God is there to aid and assist unto the end in Jesus name!

“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1 Peter 5:10

AFRICAN CHRISTIANS & MONEY
Deeper Life brethren have a G.S and they preach holiness and dress moderately with biblical doctrines..

RCCG people have G.O and they are mixed up with earthly glory inclination and breakthrough teaching...

Living Faith people have bishop, and they don't hide their passion and doctrine for prosperity and worldly possession...

And so on..

But when it comes to MONEY, there is no difference between Deeper Life, RCCG, Living faith, majority are unfaithful with money. When it comes to matter of money, you will not know who attends Deeper Life again or who is a winner, majority are unfaithful with money; majority want to borrow without paying, majority want to lie because of money, majority turn violent about money, majority want to "settle" to get things done, majority give and collects bribe and call it different names.

Majority of "devoted" Christians in Africa in different denominations have same G.O, same doctrine and same god, which is Mammon - love of money.

In Africa, we have many Christians who can speak in tongues, who can dress moderately, who can do more fasting and prayer, who can pay tithes and firstfruits but less faithful with money.

It's often time easier to do business with an unbelieving American than a devoted Christian in Africa. Sometimes, it's difficult for to somebody is a genuine child of God until he faced matter of money.

I wonder what faith or holiness people are claiming when they are unfaithful with money. You are not faithful, you are not even a child of God when you can not faithfully handle matter of money with people.

When you faithfully pay your tithe to God but you are not faithful with money to people you are dealing with, then you are fake.

Repent and do restitution where necessary - Settle the old time debt, apologize and return the money, pay back what you forcefully took away, etc.

God be with you all as we await His coming!

I GOT TO UNDERSTAND!
As a household-commodity producer, I got to understand that the impression of a beautiful packaging does not last on a consumer if the product is of little or no quality.

I got to understand that the impression of a nice fragrance or smelling of a product does not last if the product has little or no value.

And I also got to understand that the impression of a captivating adverts and marketing of a product does not stay long if the product fails to deliver.

The same thing is also applicable when it comes to marital relationship. The beautiful looking woman, handsome looking man, nice voice, straight legs, good set of teeth, tall height, long hair, glowing skin, good education, reputable and well paid job, etc. the impression of all these does not last in marriage before you will face the reality of marriage life.

As a married Christian minister, here is my advice for you as a Christian single:

To the single brothers, “Do not be fooled by outward packaging of a woman but focus on virtues and godliness." Beauty, either natural or artificial, has nothing to do with healthy marriage, but godliness and virtues. Beauty without virtues and godliness is a waste bin.

To the single sisters, “Do not focus on what a man drives but on what drives him.” The Spirit of God that drives a man and the divine vision that drives him are more important than a big car or cash.

Many single men with big televisions have no vision for the future, and also a single man driving nice car without having Spirit of God that drives him will end up in an accidental marriage.

NEVER GIVE IN!
I Corinthians 9:27, "But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection"

After you are saved, even for many years, Satan will still bring sinful thoughts, feelings, ideas, and pressure; your unsaved body will want to over ride the Spirit of God. The addicted sin to smoke, drink, masturbate, etc; the pressure for sinful pleasures will come back in an overwhelming manner; the tendency to get angry, lie, drink, fight, or to do other sinful stuffs will come back; the people for sinful activities will still come back to you. Sometime the pressure will be so heavy as if you can't survive it. Satan will say, "Look, don't pretend, this thing is part of you and your salvation in Jesus can't stop it. You can't stop doing this thing, even if you don't do it now, what about tomorrow, next week, and next month? Just give in and God will understand."

My beloved in Christ, that is the deception of pit of hell to make you feel helpless as if you can't overcome sin. When next the pressure to commit sin comes again, you know what to do? DON'T GIVE IN! The pressure and the feeling will not last, it will vanish. And you know what? Every victory over a temptation to sin gives you strength to overcome the next one, and you become stronger, but every falling into temptation makes you weaker to overcome another one. Solution is not to surrender to such sinful pressure once or again, the solution is to hold it, never give in.

Paul the Apostle, after many years of his salvation, said, "I discipline my body and bring it into subjection" It is a continuous thing as Satan continuously brings temptations. Salvation does not automatically end the notion and tendency of sin, it only gives grace and strength to overcome. And we can only get the grace and strength by daily Bible reading, prayer for God's grace and daily watchfulness to walk in the Spirit. Genuine Salvation is the foundation to overcome sin and Satan, DAILY grace of God through prayer and Bible is the strength, and watchfulness, self control that is self discipline to refuse, reject and deny is the solution!

TH REALITY OF MASTURBATION......Please read this!
To start with, masturbation is self service by which one derives pleasure, it's usually performed using the hands, fingers, everyday objects, or dedicated intimacy gadgets. So the question: Is it sinful for a child of God to masturbate? The sincere and simple answer is that, it is biblically sinful based on these three points:

(1) IT'S DISHONORING YOUR BODY.
Pastors and preachers who claim that masturbation is not a sin are the same people who say a godly woman can dress any how; their base is that God's is not concern about what you do with your body, watch out! Such people believe God is only after your mind or your heart, and your body is none of His business, you can dress half naked as a woman, you can wear earrings as a man, perm your hair like woman; you can smoke, drink, it is your body, normal habit, and none of God's business.

Such teaching of your body is not God's business is satanic and unbiblical. God is interested in your body as well as your soul, God wants you to keep your heart holy as well as your body. Romans 12:1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Your heart is the throne of God, and your body is His temple; when you defile God's temple - your body - with masturbation or any uncleanness, you expose yourself to God's destruction.

1 Corinthians 3: 16, 17, "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." prostate cancer

(2) IT'S SEXUAL IMMORALITY
Any action by which one derives sexual pleasure - orgasm - apart from, between husband and wife, such is sexual immorality. There are several sexual immoralities like fornication, adultery, masturbation, homosexuality, etc. Those who involve in masturbation before or after marriage are immoral people before God. 1 Corinthians 5:9, "I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people."

(3) IT'S A SECRET SIN
It's something usually done in secret, if after you dedicate your life to Jesus. You can't have fellow children of God in the same room and you begin to masturbate. As Christian brother, you can snore when other brothers are with you in the same while while you sleep, but you can masturbate when you know other Christian people are with you, the same thing with a sister. You can sleep or snore while people are around, but you can't masturbate while good and godly people are around, you can't do that at a Christian camp when you are aware of others around.

THE REALITY
Masturbation is generated through immoral imaginations and thoughts, it is committing the sexual immorality in your mind and reflecting on your body.

Another reality about masturbation, it is romancing with demon! Scary but a simple truth. Behind every sin is a demon, when a demon of sexual immorality is romancing with a man or woman, the person will be filled with immoral pictures in their minds and reacting to those immoral thought brings ejaculation.

Some scientists say masturbation is good for health, that it prevents prostate cancer, the reality of this is that any scientific prove that encourages sin is satanic. A child of God is controlled by the unchanging word of God through the Spirit of God, and not by changing science manipulated by Satan to confuse and mislead many.

NO PRETENSE!
You can't finish masturbate and you feel free in God's presence, your conscience will tell you something is wrong, that you are defiled. If you now feel no guilt in masturbating, it means you have silenced or killed your conscience, since the Spirit of God will not continue to strive with a man, but you know it wasn't like that at the initial.

THREE WAYS OUT!
Masturbation is satanic anchor by which he uses to grip souls under his bondage. The solution is not to say it is not a sin, the solution is not marriage or attractive spouse, that never solve problem of lust.

The solutions are (1) You repent and rededicate your life to Jesus by admitting it as a sin against God and ready to forsake it. You must repent from all sins and surrender, you can not isolate masturbation. (2) You watch out against it, you detach yourself from immoral materials, movies, music and thoughts. Resist the devil when he brings the pressure on you to masturbate; just hold the feeling and resist the devil, he can't stay long, he will flee. It will come over you as if you can't resist it, but that is not true, you just hold it, don't torch and don't think about. It is a sin and you don't want to bring yourself under the bondage anymore. The more you resist and overcome the feeling, the more you are strong, keep watching, he can go and come after some months, don't relax but resist. (3) Pray about it. You must take it to God in your daily prayer to conquer the sinful notion and nature; pray for grace and strength to resist, to discipline your body and keep it under the Spirit of God.

But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

The Reason
The reason why you still fall back into masturbation or any sin after you are saved is because "You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin." Hebrews 12:4. Let me ask you, if you hear that anyone that masturbates will fall down and die immediately, and you see people doing it and falling dead, will you still do it when the pressure comes? I'm sure the answer is capital no, you will not want to kill yourself because of 5 minutes dirty masturbation, no matter how Satan pushes you, you will not want to masturbate and die. That is it! You must resist the devil to bloodshed. No excuse for living under the bondage of masturbation when Jesus has set you free.

THE POPULAR DOCTRINES OF DEMONS IN THIS END-TIME.
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” 1 Timothy 4:1.

In this end-time, many are being misled by the strange but sweet doctrines inspired by demons to make many Christians miss heaven. And if you are not vigilant, you will not only be misled but also become unconscious agent of demons preaching the doctrines of demons. Here is the forewarned message from the Bible:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 2 Timothy 4:3,4.

The only means we can escape or overcome the traps of the doctrines of demons in this end-time is in the following verse of 2 Timothy 4:5, “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” WATCHFULNESS IN ALL THINGS.

Here is the list of the popular doctrines of demons in this end-time:

1, FAITH WITHOUT WORK OF RIGHTOUESNESS.

The doctrines of demons emphasize more on faith, the agents of Satan who are preaching doctrines of demons are preaching, teaching and writing more about faith today, in fact some of them name their church after faith. They confess and claim everything by faith but without work of righteousness. They say they are the righteousness of God by faith; they are misleading many people with the twisted Bible message of faith.

The doctrine of demons claims salvation in Christ by faith, sanctification by faith without work of righteousness, it says you are no longer under law, so you are free by faith to live in sin but claim the righteousness of Christ by faith in your sinful life. And many are being deceived by this doctrine of faith without work of righteousness because it is sweet with no sweat. They say your work of righteousness can’t save you so you can continue in sin and claim faith to heaven.

That is the reason we see funny things happening in Christianity today, that is the reason you see many claiming faith and continue in sin because many are being deceived by this doctrines of demon from the pit of hell. But if you care for the truth,

HERE IS THE TRUTH ABOUT FAITH AND WORK OF RIGHTEOUSNESS:

The foundation of Christian life is faith in Christ, that to be justified on Christ's account, not by our work. After we are saved, what next? Are we to continue in sin by faith and claiming justification and grace in Jesus Christ while we continue in sins? God forbids. What Apostle James says is that the first thing you need is faith in Jesus Christ to be justified, thereafter you need to add something to your faith, because faith alone cannot survive, saying you need to add work to your salvation. This Paul even made more clearer, he said, "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Philippians 2:12.

When we come to Jesus with the burdens of our sins, we are saved from sins, our justification is by faith in Christ, " For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9.

What happened after we are saved? Should we continue in sin and keep on claiming justification by faith? No, We are saved and justified by faith, but we are not saved to continue in sin; we are saved by faith to live righteous. If anyone claims to be saved and continues in sin, then from what was he saved? Is salvation in Christ not to be free from the bondage of sin? So if we continue in sin, then we are not yet saved. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10. Paul mentioned work different times after faith of salvation. We are saved for good righteous work, not for sinful works.

SALVATION: We are saved through faith in Jesus Christ to live a faithful life, not to continue in unfaithfulness. Those who claim salvation in Christ by faith and continue in sin at the same time are living in spiritual confusion and contradiction.

You need to get the following clear:

We are saved by GRACE. “For by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:8

We are saved through FAITH. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8

We are saved for good work, RIGHTEOUS WALKING. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

If you know the means by which and through which you are saved, but you don’t know for what purpose you are saved, you will miss everything. That is the problem with preachers who preach once saved is always saved, who say you can continue in sin and still claim faith, and the same problem with Christians who claim they are saved while they continue in worldly lifestyles.

Beloved, do you care for genuine salvation that gives victory over sin and that will give you a definite purpose for the rest of your life? Do you want to live by faith in this year and the rest of your life till you see the Blessed Jesus? Then you need to be justified in Jesus Christ. Please click on this link, read and pray as directed

CHRISTIANS WITHOUT ETERNAL LIFE .....Please read this!
“And this is the promise that He has promised us – eternal life.” 1 John 2:25

Do you know that you can be a Christian, committed, and yet no eternal life? Because in this end time, there are so many Christians and ministers without eternal life. Do you have eternal life in you? This goes beyond claiming it.

Jesus Christ came to this world for a major purpose, with major preaching and of major promise, and that is ETERNAL LIFE or EVERLASTING LIFE. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16.

There are many Christians today without eternal life in them and many churches growing larger but without eternal life. You can be rich, prospered financially and materially without eternal life in you. You can be intelligent, healthy and having several miracles from God every day yet lack eternal life.

In your church, you may hear several messages of unlimited breakthrough, unmerited favor, unspeakable joy of miracles, master key for divine prosperity, next level of success, divine connections and so on. You hear big testimonies of 24 hours miracles, all-round breakthrough, blessings without toiling; you also hear astonishing testimonies of breakthrough, healing, and many others. Right, you witness those things in your life, but do you know that Satan is not really mad at you that you have all those things? You being prospered or rich is not the major purpose of Jesus for you and not the major problem of Satan about you, the real thing is ETERNAL LIFE.

Jesus came to this world purposely to give you eternal life, to save you from eternal death, doom; that is the primary purpose of Jesus for you. Satan has lost his eternal life, and he does not want you to get it, he is ready to do and deceive you with ANYTHING to make you lose ETERNAL LIFE, and end up with him in hell fire. Satan is ready to blindfold you with anything, he is ready to allow you to have prosperity and riches and think less about eternity, he has blinded many churches to see less, seek less and speak less about eternal life or warn against eternal destruction, but now to focus on prosperity and all earthly blessings and even claim that Jesus came to this world just for that, to set us free from poverty.

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. God primarily sent Jesus to this world to deliver you from eternal condemnation, not just from financial poverty or problem of life; Jesus came to this world to deliver ETERNAL LIFE unto you, not just prosperity or sweet life on earth. So if you are a Christian, but your primary purpose is not ETERNAL LIFE, then you are one of the mixed multitude; if you are a Christian but you are not living for ETERNAL LIFE, then you are missing everything; if you are a Christian but your name is not written in the Book of Life, then you are a miserable Christian.

If you want to spend eternal life with Jesus, if you want to be with Jesus in heaven, you must be like Him on earth. "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." 1 John 3:2,3.

Salvation, holy living and godly living are the answer. It is not about claiming but it is about genuine confession and conversion. Please, don’t exchange your eternal life for anything in this perishing and passing, don’t be fooled by Satan.

CAN A CHRISTIAN GO TO HELL AFTER HE IS SAVED?
The Lord pointed out one middle-aged woman whom I knew before her death. She had died in a car accident at the beginning of 2005. I was shocked to see that woman in Hell because we all knew her as a God-fearing and God-loving person. The Lord told me that that woman loved Him and He also loved her; she had served Him when she was on Earth; she had led many people to the Lord and she knew the Word very well. She was kind to the poor and needy; she gave to them, and helped them in many ways. She was a good servant of the Lord in most ways.

Those words of the Lord shocked me even more and I asked Him why He would let someone who had served Him so well end up in Hell. The Lord looked at me and said that this lady had believed the deception of the Devil. Although she knew the Scriptures well, she believed the lie of the Devil that there are big sins and small sins. She thought that a ‘small' sin would not lead her to Hell because, after all, she was a Christian.

The Lord continued, "I went to her many times and told her to stop what she was doing but many times she would reason that what she was doing was too small and she attributed my warning to her own feelings of guilt. There was a time when she stopped for a while but then she convinced herself again that the warning was not from Me but her own voice because that sin was too insignificant to grieve the Holy Spirit."

I asked the Lord again to tell me what the sin was that this woman has committed and He answered me thus, "This woman had a friend who is a nurse at Oshakati Hospital. Whenever this woman was sick, she would not go to hospital and pay for her hospital card as normal practice; she would just pick up the telephone and tell her friend to organize medicine for her from the Hospital Dispensary. Her friend would always oblige and tell her to pick up the medicine at a particular time. Firstly, she decided to accept the lie of the Devil about small and big sin and rejected my truth; she caused somebody else to sin and steal on her behalf but, worst of all, she grieved the Holy Spirit. This is what caused her to be in Hell. It does not matter whether you bring millions of souls to the Lord; it is still possible to go to Hell for grieving the Holy Spirit. You must not only care about the salvation of others but you must be careful not to forget about your own soul. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit at all times." After the Lord said those words He said that we should go back.

Many Christians who have heard this story do find it problematic. They would always ask me, "What about justification, mercy and grace?" and "Is it possible to lose your Salvation after you have received it?" "Is that not a bit too harsh?" "Can God be so cruel?"
Well, as I have said elsewhere in this book, I am not presenting any theology here. I am just telling you what the Lord has shown and taught me - and what He has allowed me to experience. Please refer to your Bible for answers. Look at the following verses and make your own judgment.

"But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I preached to others, I myself should become disqualified." (1Corinthians 9:27)

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue to sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? (Romans 6:1-2)

"Do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lust." (Romans 6:12)

"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries." (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Can I go to Hell after having served the Lord and led many to Christ? You be the judge!

Repent, rededicate your life to Jesus and be steadfast in Him till the end.

Dangerous Truth About Tithe

1, You Must Give Your Life to God Before Your Tithe
Your pastor may say everybody should pay tithe, your church may say anybody can pay tithe, but the truth is that only children of God are allowed to pay tithe. God did not ask the gentiles in the Bible to pay tithe except the children of Israel. There is nothing has waste of effort and time as giving tithe and offering in sinful lifestyle. Your sacrifice, tithe and offering as a sinner or backslider is an abomination to God. Proverbs 15:8. Do you know that all the tithes and offering you gave in the church before you gave your life to Jesus is unrecognized before God? Every tithe or offering given in disobedience, sinful or backslidden life is as useless as praying for the dead to be saved. Tithes, offerings or sacrifice cannot save you from the judgement of God, but obedience to repentance. 1 Samuel 15:22. For example, after you are saved, and God instructs you to do restitution or anything, if you disobey and continue to give tithe and offering, it’s a waste of effort and useless before God.

2, Tithe Is A Must For Every Child Of God
When you become a genuine child of God through repentance and you receive forgiveness of your sins, you become privileged to pay tithe and offering. Any preacher or church that forbids children of God from paying tithe or teaches otherwise is a misinformed and confused preacher or church. As a genuine child of God, refusing to pay tithe is a clear disobedience to God’s word which can cause hindrances in anyway – financial hindrance, even hindrance to God’s kingdom. Those who teach that paying tithe is Old Testament or outdated stuff have an old time ignorance, their ignorance is as old as tithe itself. Sinners or backsliders have no business paying tithe but it's a privilege for every genuine child of God.

3, Tithe, A Must But Not A Must To Pay To Your Local Church
When it comes to paying tithe as a child of God, it’s not a one-way traffic, but you must allow the Lord to lead you on where or who to pay to so that it will become acceptable. It’s not a fixed matter to pay to your local church. The Lord Jesus can lead you to pay your tithe to another church, to evangelical ministry, to mission work, to nondenominational evangelist, to missionary, to village church, etc. A child of God is led by God and must be led on paying tithe. That the Lord leads you to pay your tithe somewhere yesterday does not mean it’s applicable same way today, daily guidance is important.

4, Using Tithe Card Or Record Is Unbiblical
Some churches use tithe card and keep track of the record of their members’ tithe payment, such activities are satanic and unbiblical, it’s a sign of worldliness and mammon in the church. Paying tithe is private, not something to be tracked by church.

5, My Storehouse, Not My House
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the LORD of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10

We bring all tithes to the storehouse of God, not to the house. The storehouse is a place where goods are stored and distributed according to the needs of ministers and brethren as practiced by the early church in the book of Acts 4:32-37.

Many churches today are not qualified to collect tithes because they don’t have storehouse to receive the tithes base on the word of God. Tithes are meant to be collected and distributed for the needs of the same people who pay the tithes. Tithe is not to enrich the church leaders, it is not to build a multibillion auditorium or to buy private jet; tithe is meant to be distributed daily, to meet the needs of the brethren and ministers, “that there may be food in My house” The food here means spiritual food - free Christian materials, physical food – for those who can’t afford it, medical food – free clinic for the members or community, academic food – free schools as the missionary did, free library for the youth, etc.

By God’s grace, we will continue another time to teach more about tithe. But remember you must give your life to Jesus before you can acceptably give tithe and offering; you must live in total obedience to God before your offering can be acceptable by God. Also, you must let the Lord leads you on where and who to pay your tithe to. And finally, tithe is a privilege and a means of blessing for children of God, not an outdated ordinance, God’s word is new every day!

THE TEMPLE OF GOD
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16

In the Old Testament, temple of God was a physical building in Jerusalem, but in the New Testament, the physical body of every child of God is the temple of God. When you surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your body becomes the temple of God, and your heart serves the throne of God.

DEFILING THE TEMPLE OF GOD
Many Christians and preachers claim that God is only interested in their hearts and nothing with their body, and so they can do anything with their bodies. Such teaching and notion is from the pit of hell, very deceptive and destructive; the same Christians ask God to heal their bodies when they are sick and also ask God to protect their bodies, so if God is not interested in their bodies, why will God heal their bodies from sickness? If they think their faith in God has nothing to do with God, why will they ask God to heal or protect the their body from attacks?

Jesus Christ died for our soul, spirit and body, to give freedom, not only for our soul but also our body. When you become a child of God, your body is no longer your body but God's temple, whatever you do with it is very important to God. Involving in any act that defiles God's temple attracts serious judgment of God. "If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3:17.

ACTS OF DEFILING GOD'S TEMPLE
Here are some acts that defile God's temple, which every child of God should flee from:

(1) SMOKING: Smoking is not just a wrong against one's health, but also it is a sin of defiling God's temple after salvation. After you are genuinely saved, going back to smoke is destructive to your spirit, soul and body, it defiles God's temple - your body, and it attracts God's judgment.

(2) DRINKING ALCOHOL: Drinking alcohol was not allowed in the temple of God in the Old Testament, “Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die." Leviticus 10:9; and how much more do you expect with the temple redeemed by the Blood of Jesus? The reason why drinking alcohol is a forbidden thing to a genuine child of God is because his body is the temple of God, and alcohol is not allowed in the temple of God.

(3) TATTOO: Painting tattoo to the body is only meant for the gentiles, the unbelievers who owe their own bodies for their destruction, but when your body becomes the temple of God, redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus, it becomes sinful and evil to paint tattoo on your body. "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:28 "I AM THE LORD OF YOUR BODY AFTER YOU SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO ME, NOT YOUR OWN ANYMORE" - JESUS CHRIST.

(4) BLEACHING: Toning and bleaching skin is an act of defiling the temple of God. When you become a child of God through repentance, your body belongs to Jesus, and you dare not do anything to your body that will not glorify God. Bleaching and toning skin is evil and destructive.

(5) MASTURBATION: Masturbation is an act of manipulating one's body for sexual pleasure, it is forbidden by every genuine child of God, because our body is the temple of God and we cannot manipulate it. Masturbation actually mean having sex with demon; since it is for sexual pleasure and it usually involves two people; in masturbation, the other person is invisible and that is demon. When you surrender your life to Jesus completely, you must resist and reject the demon of masturbation when he comes back to play with you.

(6) MouthAction: Either in marriage or outside marriage, MouthAction is an immoral act of working against the normal cause of nature, it is turning the cause of nature upside down by using what is meant for oral for sex and what is meant for sex for oral; but since your body is the temple of God, you will not want to turn the temple of God upside down, you know God will not take that for granted?

(7) FORNICATION & ADULTERY: These are the worst of all sins, because sexual immorality is the only sin that cuts across spirit, soul and body at the same time. it's a serious sin that poisons the whole system. Sexual immorality is a sacrifice that empowers the kingdom of darkness, what it means is that whenever sexual immorality is being committed, demons are readily present to empower themselves. Bodies or places where sexual immorality is being committed are filled with demons. Since your body becomes the temple of God, it is a must to keep yourself and flee from every form of sexual immorality. If you have involved in such before, you repent, ask Jesus to cleanse you and do not go back into it.

DESTRUCTION FOR DEFILING GOD'S TEMPLE
"If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3:17.

There is grave judgment of God for anyone who defiles temple of God by any act. If you have been involving in any of these acts, you have to repent and ask God to forgive you and turn to Him in a new life completely.

Romans 12:1-2, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

SHE DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS MARRIED: Life Marriage Story!

Beth Walker woke from a coma with no memory of her family; her husband, Hal, had some difficult choices.

Disoriented. Muddled. Confused.

After being in a coma for almost two weeks, 32-year-old Beth Walker gradually opened her eyes and gave a slight smile. She felt like she was trudging through a dense fog. She couldn’t talk or walk.

Standing by her bedside was a man she didn’t recognize. The nurses told her, “This is your husband and you have a child.”

Beth heard the words, but she didn’t remember.

Who was the strange man standing by her? How could she have a child? And what was a husband, anyway?

She didn’t remember who she was or why she was in the hospital. She didn’t know the name of the President, the day of the month, or even the year. But she did feel the presence of God. “The first thing I remembered,” she says, “… was being eight years old at the missionary Baptist church, and they sang ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus,’ and I became a Christian.”

Remembering that childhood salvation, Beth Walker knew without a doubt that Jesus was with her. As the Bible says in Deuteronomy 31:8, “The LORD … will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

“It was such a comfort,” she says, “because He wasn’t trying to figure me out or tell me what I was or didn’t know. He knew me.”

Beth couldn’t speak for over two weeks, until her ventilator was removed. Her first words to her husband, Hal, were ones he did not expect: “Did I really like you?”

“Man, my heart stopped,” Hal recalls today. After 12 years of marriage, his wife did not know him.

So much had happened to Hal in less than a month. It began when Beth collapsed on their bedroom floor on October 10, 1994. And now, she says that she doesn’t even know him. Wasn’t he the one who scooped her up in his arms and rushed her to the hospital? Wasn’t he the one who begged God to let her live. Hadn’t he stood by her bedside when the seizures began and held her hand when she looked at him with fear?

It was Hal’s turn to be frozen in worry. What would he do if his wife never remembered him? How would that affect him and their two-year-old daughter, Jordan? How could he be faithful to his wedding vow, to love Beth in sickness … perhaps for the rest of his entire life?

“Everyone told me what a special guy he was”

The doctors had not expected Beth to survive what they diagnosed as viral encephalitis. They explained to Hal that parts of her brain had been destroyed.

Beth’s left side was numb and she couldn’t see well out of her left eye. She couldn’t walk. She had virtually no long-term memory and little short-term memory. The nurses continued to introduce Hal to Beth as her husband, but as soon as he walked out of the room, she forgot.

By December 1994, Beth was taking a few steps, and Hal and Jordan looked vaguely familiar. “I knew this guy [Hal] was committed because he kept showing up,” Beth says. “He was awfully cute. … Everyone told me what a special guy he was.”

The hospital staff decided that Beth needed specialized rehabilitation that it was not equipped to provide. So Beth was discharged before Christmas, agreeing to go through a brain-injury day treatment program.

When Beth first came home for the holidays, Hal’s thoughts traveled back to their years together at John Brown University (Siloam Springs, Ark.) and to the fun they shared together. Beth had been an outstanding volleyball player there; she didn’t know a stranger.

Her friends called her “Bubbly Bouncing Beth.” She was also known as “The Mop.” Hal says she got that nickname by “mopping up the floor”—diving at balls that the opposing team spiked.

Hal became a Christian in 1980 through Beth’s influence. They married in 1982. Beth became a coach at a small Christian school; Hal was a builder. They worked and played hard. “We did rappelling and jumping off cliffs,” Hal says. “We did a lot of white water rafting and canoeing and all kinds of stuff.” And Beth tenderly called him Howie Joe Craig Walker; they shared so many hopes for their future.

But no amount of reminiscing could bring back the “old Beth.”

“She didn't feel she was married”

In early 1995 Beth spent about six months at Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. That’s where she learned to walk without assistance, cook, and clean. The staff repeatedly showed her pictures of her family, hoping that would somehow jar her memory.

Over time she accepted that she had met Hal in high school, got married in college, and had a young daughter. But she could not recall the actual memories.

Beth only weighed 89 pounds when she returned home. “She was scared of me,” Hal says, “because she didn’t know who she was.” To make matters worse, Beth had no sense of direction. Hal put signs around the house to help her navigate. He put arrows on the walls saying, “Bathroom this way” and signs on the cabinets that said, “Place the dishes here.”

Beth complained about the way the house was decorated, and she felt no emotion for Hal. “She didn’t feel like she was married,” Hal says. “We stayed our distance.”

Although Beth had learned to walk without assistance and her vision was no longer blurry, she still could not remember anything about her life. The constant questioning of friends and family just frustrated her. She says that she wanted to tell them: “I don’t know who I am. Just pretend like you don’t know me, because it’s making me feel like you don’t accept me. You want me to be something different—I guess like that girl you knew.”

The Walkers’ friends from Fellowship Evangelical Free Church (Knoxville, Tenn.) rallied around Hal. They came to the house to care for Beth while he was at work. They did this for more than a year. They also bought a freezer for the Walkers and stocked it with casseroles that would last almost 18 months.

Beth spent hours and hours looking at pictures and talking with family and friends. She also read everything about herself that she could, especially her old journals. Eventually, she remembered a few random things—some swimming strokes that she learned in school and getting bitten by a Great Dane as a child. But she still had absolutely no memory of her many years with Hal.

“We are starting all over again”

For a long time Hal kept waiting for a Hollywood ending to the story—for a miraculous moment when Beth would wake up and remember everything. Eventually he realized that was not going to happen.

At least a dozen people suggested that he divorce Beth, but Hal was determined to stay with her. He was committed to God, and he was convinced he needed to remain true to the vows he had made at their wedding, when he pledged to remain married “in sickness and in health.”

“Couldn’t be easier for me,” Hal says. “I’m a pretty cut and dry guy.”

And when friends would say, “You know, she’s not the same woman you married,” it only reinforced his conviction: “I’m not leaving Beth.”

But he did decide to begin courting his wife again.

Over and over he brought her beautiful pink roses, because pink is her favorite color. And even though Beth couldn’t walk very far, they took short strolls together, hand in hand. “I would try to get her up and dance,” Hal says, “because I knew she liked dancing; we'd kind of dance in the front room.”

His corny sense of humor seemed to help his wife the most. “Jokes were probably the biggest thing,” he says, “ … like, ‘What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef.’”

Beth relaxed around Hal. And as she found various things around the house she accepted that he was indeed her husband.

Beth asked Hal if they could renew their wedding vows and he quickly agreed. On August 21, 1997 (their 15th wedding anniversary), Hal re-married the woman he called his second wife. The ceremony was very intimate; there were only eight guests. Five-year-old Jordan was her parents’ ring bearer.

“I remember the feeling I had was the same as the first time,” Hal says. “Because here we go out in the world again … I knew what was going to happen but yet I didn’t … we are starting all over again. ... We were going back to the same house, had the same daughter, but this time I think, ‘She really feels she’s married.’”

“I couldn’t do this on my own”

For the next six years Beth gradually improved. To help her short-term memory, she jotted reminders on calendars and took hundreds of pictures. Hal assumed that her progress would continue. But in 2003, for some unknown reason, it just stopped. That’s when Hal had to come face-to-face with reality: Maybe his wife would never get any better.

Still, through their world of differences, the Walkers have learned a lot about God’s faithfulness. Beth says that she reminds herself that she can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). “… I’ve realized God never leaves you or forsakes you. … You could be comatose all your life and He's still there.”

Hal agrees. He says that men will come up to him, asking how he can endure living with a wife who can’t really remember. He tells them: “I can't do it by myself. It's Christ.” If they ask him what that means, he tells them. “... when you speak the [wedding] vows those words actually mean something. You can't do it on your own. … Too many times in a marriage it's … ‘I don't feel right. You didn't treat me right.’ … but then when you look at it [situations] from God's perspective, it takes a different direction.”

“So many memories are someone else’s”

An energetic, attractive blonde, Beth refers to herself as “dizzy.” Now, 18 years after recovering from viral encephalitis, she still doesn’t remember her childhood, her first marriage, or the day of her second wedding. She doesn’t remember being in the hospital or the pink roses Hal gave her. She even has difficulty recalling what happened yesterday.

“I couldn't do this on my own,” he says. “I would have been gone a long time ago.”

“Yeah, it's a God thing,” Beth says. “ … There are times we both want to say enough is enough. But we realize that God has gotten us here so far and He's going to take us the rest of the way.”

Although Beth plays tennis competitively, she doesn’t remember who won. She asks her opponent (or doubles partner) at the end of a match, “What’s the score?”

Often Beth will not recognize women she’s met. She says they will come up to her and insist, “Why, we’ve played together, you know me.” There have been many times when she just had to turn away and wipe away her tears.

She says she often feels lost, and she often wonders what she just did. Did she finish what she started yesterday? Has she eaten that twice or worn that twice, or gone past this building for the third time? It’s hard for her to differentiate between what she remembers and what she has been told. “So many memories are someone else’s,” she says. She doesn’t remember any of the nine Weekend to Remember® marriage getaways she and Hal have attended.

“It’s not half as bad as it is for her”

When Hal starts to feel sorry for himself, he thinks of Beth. “Yeah it’s tough and sad for me, but it’s not half as bad as it is for her.” At those times he goes back to Romans 11:33, “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!”

Hal says things could be a lot worse, that his wife could also be an invalid or in a wheelchair. But when he sees her cry “because she has tried so hard and failed at something that is so menial, it just kills me.” He knows that her loss of memory is not her fault. “She didn’t get sick on purpose.”

He’s confident that Beth will eventually get her memory back—but perhaps not until she reaches heaven. Regardless of when that occurs, she will know that Howie Joe Craig Walker did not run away from his marriage vows. She will know that he was indeed her one true love … in sickness and in health. And she will know that her husband truly loved her, for their entire married life.

PRAYING BEFORE CHOOSING!

We are faced with choices to make on daily bases, both tangible and intangible decisions; choices in marital decision, in career, where to work, where to live, where to locate to, where to worship, where to settle, who to make friendship with, who to employ to work with, house to buy or build, car to buy, business to do, where to live, what to say and so on...

Every choice we make has effect on our present, future and people around, so it is very important not to make choice on life matter by ourselves, and not to allow people to do this for us, either parents or pastor - but to pray about everything and let God choose for us.

Here is the example of Jesus Christ in choosing for us to follow: "Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles" Luke 6:12, 13.

When Jesus Christ was about to choose His apostles, he first spent time to pray for God's direction before choosing, even though He was Christ. What about you?

Nothing is as dangerous and foolish for a child of God as making decision before praying, and when things mess up, you start to pray? Why not pray and safe yourself from after-decision hazard?

Do not choose because it seems right or because many are rushing it - "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." Proverbs 16:25

Do not choose by sight but by the Spirit of God - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." Romans 8:14

Do not take a decision before you pray, but take action by the leading of the Spirit after praying.

Commit your way and will to God and let Him have His way in your life and success with safety is sure!

Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

LISTEN: YOUR SALVATION WITHOUT RESTITUTION IS A JOKE!
If a man abandons his wife with children and moves with a strange woman, after he is saved in Christ, is he not going to detach himself from the strange woman and move back to his family? If your neighbor steals your phone, and you know but just keep quiet, and later the neighbor becomes saved in Jesus and comes to preach to you while still using the phone he steals from you, are you going to accept his faith as genuine? If after you retired at the age of 60, and you use your retirement money to buy a land, then a dubious man with his influence, displaces you of your piece of land and claims it for himself, then later he become born again and still claim your land for himself, will you believe his salvation in Christ to be real?

Though even if you do not believe the teaching of restitution, but I'm sure you can't believe a husband who abandons his wife and children and still living with a strange lady is truly saved; you will not take a neighbor who stole your phone and still using it after he claims to be saved serious; you will not listen to sermon of a person who hijacked your landed property and refuse to return it after he said he has been born again; you will see such people's salvation as a joke, so also is your salvation without restitution is a joke.

SINGLES: SEXUAL URGE & IT'S REALITY
-A Narrative Article on Singles & Sex!

If you were used to desktop computer some years back, there is something called "Screen saver" you know that? If you leave a desktop computer that has screen saver un-used for some minutes, you will see some animated pictured moving round on the screen as if it's a video show, but immediately you touch the mouse of the computer, the whole screen saver show disappears. That's exactly the reality with those terrific sexual urge you experience as a single brother or sister, and especially when you get to relationship.

Let me start with my personal experience when I was single. Before I got married, I believed I had high sexual urge, but I thank God for His grace that kept me all through till marriage as a “virgin” despite all those terrible temptations. And when I met my wife-to-be, I was like “I would be free from the afternoon of our wedding day, infect I would not want a long sermon or wedding service, I would not want a prolonged wedding reception, my mind would be straight to the honeymoon with my wife and the unprecedented must start from that Saturday afternoon at the honeymoon.” That was my mind when we were preparing for our wedding. And you know those electrifying shock when holding the sister’s hand, you dare not go further lest you get electrocuted  And all those “chemistry” feeling, it was like high gauge “hydrometerred” Caustic Soda. Even more than having chemistry, if there is any other feeling like “Electricity” “Physics”, etc. When she came to visit my mother in another state, I vacated my room for the night. You know as a single, sleeping together in the same room with your fiancée is more like committing spiritual suicide.

To God be the glory we got married in Ibadan and moved to Lagos, and with the little we had, we went to a night honeymoon. But something happened, this brother that was over-ready few days ago, that was hyper-ready, that had electrical shocking touch, that had over-gauge caustic soda chemistry feeling towards the sister, can you believe the same very brother became afraid when he got to the honeymoon with his very wife? Saturday went, Sunday came and went, Monday came and went yet the brother was still scared of…. My Youth Co-coordinator leader called me on Monday, and said, “Gideon you are now a “something I can’t remember” man” But I said, “Sir, I’m not yet oooo, I’m scared” So where are all those terrific chemistry, electricity, physic, etc.? It was a screen saver.

Do I mean Christian couples don’t have chemistry, romantic feeling and sexual attractions in marriage? No, what I mean is this: there is something called “high voltage” in electricity supply, you heard about power surge that happened in some parts of Nigeria recently? The Transformer of that community was faulty, it couldn’t step down the high voltage current transmitted, so it went straight to the consumers and destroyed lives and properties. So in electricity supplies, there is low voltage, normal voltage and high voltage. Now, the high voltage only causes damage of electric appliances and destruction of lives. Exactly the same is applicable with singles and in courtships, those “high voltage current” of romantic feeling and sexual urge that makes you feel you can’t wait until marriage, that makes you want to “taste” what you have not bought, that makes you want to commit premarital sex – oh, if that is too much to ask, ok, that makes you “want to just romance, just kiss, just what?” All such high feelings are abnormal; they are manipulations of your flesh, it’s called LUST not normal love. Such high sexual high feeling as single or in courtship is high chemistry caustic soda, it burns, such feeling is high voltage current, if you go further and touch, you will get exploded or electrocuted spiritually, mentally and ruin your glorious destiny. At least, you will not say you have not read in the Bible that warns “Touch not”

Simple Solution
The solution to Transformer that transmitted high voltage current is to repair or change the Transformer so it can control the voltage that comes before transmitting it. Exactly is applicable as a single brother and sister, you to pray for transformation of heart and self-control so that you can control every lustful thoughts the devil transmits into your heart and every high voltage feeling, keeping under your body and bringing it into subjection, lest….lest you get electrocuted. Self-control, through the help of Holy Spirit and grace of God is what you need to overcome those sexual urge, masturbation urge and lustful thoughts. The earlier you realize the solution the better.

As singles, solution to those terrific sexual urge is not to satisfy it, it’s self-control. The permanent solution to lust is self-control, not even marriage or premarital sex, it’s better to face it now, because when you get married, you will still face the lust, and without self-control, you will still fall into sexual immorality of adultery even with your wife or husband available.

You know what? As a single Christian brother or sister, maybe you are in secondary school, college, a graduate and waiting; maybe you are in courtship that remains few months to marry or so, and you are battling with such high and terrific sexual urge, high voltage, high caustic soda chemistry, let it go, do not try to have a few minutes touch or taste of what you live forever to regret, even if you have opportunity to repent, it will take long time before it will go, even after you marry, the memory of such downfall will still hurt, and it’s a trap to those who refuse to confess all to their spouse of their bad past, unsettled restitution which will hinder them to heaven and earth.

Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; 16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. 17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears. Hebrews 12:15-17

If you see a woman that fixes and calls herself a Christian, tell her she is a fake type, you can't imagine the bride of Christ fixing, for what? Answer.

REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE
“Remember Lot’s wife.” Luke 17:32.

At this point and period of time, if there is any message to remember, if there is any warning of the Bible to remember, it is the warning of Jesus Christ to remember Lot’s wife. When this world is coming to a predictable end, when the Anti-Christ is set and the agents of 666 mark and Great Tribulation are ready, when God has made the message clearer that the rapture is about to take place any second from now; if there is anything to remember, it is the warning of Jesus Christ to remember Lot’s wife. At the point when God was to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, the Angels of God came to rescue Lot, his wife and two kids. After the warning by the angel not to look back to the perishing Sodom, Lot’s wife looked back because of the possession and prosperity of Sodom and she perished with the Sodomites.

My friend, this is not an exaggeration and it’s not to frighten you, this world is about to crumble with all the people therein, the predicted, prophesied end of the world has come but Jesus will first come to pick, rescue His holy children through rapture before it will crumble. With what is happening around, even the blind can see that the end has come, with all the news and revelations around, even the deaf can hear the emphatic warning from heaven that end has come.

Jesus want us to look away from all the cares of this world because they are about to perish, Jesus want us to surrender all our sins and excuses now so that they will not hold us back from being raptured. It is either you learn from Lot’s wife and be wise or you are left behind. This timely warning is applicable to all, irrespective of your Christian life or level.

So, what shall we do? Here are the things you urgently need to do now if you don’t want to perish with this perishing world:

R E P E N T
No need to pretend but repent, no need to proof and no need to procrastinate, you need to repent now, and we all need to repent. This is not just the incessant confession of sins; repentance is realizing your sins as sins and ready to forsake them. Your confession will do you no good if you are not ready to forsake your sins and start a new life in Jesus, if you are not ready to surrender all. Everyone needs to repent and every sin needs to be repented of. The serious sins and simple sin, common sins and general sins; secret sins and open sins, normal sins, it-doesn’t-matter sins, and besetting sins. No need for further delay, no need for comparism game, and it is foolish for anyone to be fooling himself now by saying, “this is my weakness, every body has a weakness, and no one is perfect” That little weakness has the strong capacity to hold you back from the rapture. Now is to repent from all forms of sins and worldliness.

R E D E D I C A T E
Every one has to rededicate his or her life to Jesus afresh now and start a new life of holiness no matter your position, possession or popularity. If you are a child of God, you need to still rededicate your life to God to search and sanctify you. Proofing and pretending will cause you great havoc at this time. Humble yourself!

R E S T I T U D E
Many Christians will miss the rapture because of undone or procrastinated restitution. Satan is deceiving many Christians that necessary restitution is not necessary, that God has forgiven you all and no more condemnation. But you can be wise. You need to make right the existing wrongs of the past. Don’t be deceived but do it now. Put your life in order for the rapture is about to take place, so that you will not be found wanton.

R E V I V E!
Repent from all forms of sins, rededicate your life to God, re-consecrate your life to Jesus and be on fire for God and be fervent for Him. Go extra miles. After you surrender all, read your Bible every morning and evening, pray first and mostly about your Christian life and growth, go stronger. Preach the message of repentance and rapture to people; we can’t overdo it because rapture will only happen once. Don’t compare yourself with others, whoever. Let people call you fool, don’t mind them, they will soon see who fool is after the rapture. People also called Noah fool but when the Flood came they got to know who actually the fool was. They called Lot fool, you also be a fool to this present perishing world and be wise to God in your life, in gentleness, sincerity, purity, openness and simple life. Let your purpose of living, focus of life from now, and your expectation be to meet Jesus pure. If they say your own is getting too much or you are going too far, tell them you just started, because you have got to go far from Sodom before the destruction will take place. Take the things of this world with loose hand and hold strongly to holy and godly living.

Even with all that is happening everywhere in the world, many are being fooled by the devil through the deception of riches and cares of the world. The truth is that they cannot spend the money they are saving now after the rapture except they receive the mark of the Ant-Christ, they cannot use the cars, houses and all the possessions Satan is using to delay their salvation and distract them from serving God wholeheartedly. What a foolish generation! But you will be wise now, won’t you?

Luke 17: 29, but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife.

33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.

REMEMBER MMM?
Sometimes ago, I preached that the scheme MMM is not right for children of God, that it’s gambling and God does not approve gambling or gaining wealth through gambling, but several Christians opposed the messaged and did not agree that involving in MMM is sinful or wrong. But today, do I need to quote Bible to anybody in Nigeria before you know MMM is false? Since many people have suffered huge lose.

Exactly the same thing is happening to so many Christians today, when we preach that holy and righteous living is the sure way to heaven, but many are opposing and saying, “No need to living holy and righteous life, that the grace of God covers our past, present and future sins, all we need is to claim it by faith” Then we say such permissive grace is gambling, it’s like you are gambling your soul at the mercy of Satan. But many are ignoring the warning now, but when they die or after the rapture takes place, you will not need any preacher to quote Bible for you that grace with continuous sinful life is gambling.

DO NOT GAMBLE YOUR SOUL, Do not be deceived by the prosperity and permissive preachers; claiming righteousness of God and grace of God without living a righteous and holy life is false teaching from the pit of hell. Don’t wait too late.

1 John 3:7-8, “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
