My opinion and unchangeable view remains both Christmas and Maulid are birds of the same feather.
That is, they are unconnected to the two unique personalities of this world.

The only difference is that one got its origin directly from paganism - Christianity while the other came much later after many decades of the prophet of Islām life.

The two are NOT part of Christ or Muhammad (Peace be upon them).

PH is a big city and we can't use your own claim as the conclusive answer to what is happening there when people from the same place are complaining,even news coming from that end is not even helping matters.
In all, we pray for safety for everyone over there.
