Fuckingmallam45: I’ve encountered nothing in the Quran or ahadith that forbids the education of females. So Islam, as informed by the Quran and ahadith, does not forbid it. However, Islam is more than just its core texts. It’s also its traditions, history and adherents.
And that’s where Islam, in some countries, interferes with the education of females. In theory, if ahadith contradicts the Quran, the Quran prevails. Yet, in many Islamic countries, the traditional penalty for adultery is being stoned to death — despite the fact that the Quran specifies only whipping. This is because the traditional pre-Islamic penalty was stoning . . . so the penalty was brought back, by popular demand, in direct contradiction of the Quran. The same applies to education of females. In many Islamic countries it’s part of the traditional subjugation of women that existed long before Muhammad(S.A.W).
The plight of women was actually improved, somewhat, by Muhammad(S.A.W). The problem is that it’s improved far more in the free world . . . while the subjugation of women in many Islamic countries remains chained to 1400-year old Islamic texts and even older traditions.
We all know Malala’s incredibly heroic story: shot through the head for advocating female education, recovering, then going on to win the Nobel Peace Prize. At such a young age, she’s the preeminent spokesperson for female education. Some adherents, though not as extreme as Malala’s would-be executioner, are more regressive than others. Some even see no contradiction in shooting a child in the name of their religious traditions. Tradition can be more powerful than scripture and even directly overrule it.
Does Islam forbid the education of women? For far too many Muslims, the traditional (not scriptural) answer is yes. I know your type, very cunning and flowery the way you bring points, but very clear at the end; only a dullard would not discern your sweet poison. There's not a single verse of the Qur'ān or an authentic ahādith that contradicts. None!except you have a misconception in your understanding. I want to know the names of those scholars that said education is prohibited for women! |

Wagwanbrethren: According to some dude who prolly knows better than everyone. No one should interfere in the barbaric act of Taliban even now that Qatar and other Muslim community has condemned the act. How do you justify misogyny and sexism against women?
1) Islamic courts are controlled by men. 2) Woman doesn't have the right to divorce and must seek a court to grant her divorce for specific reasons other then her just wanting to be divorced or dissatisfaction with the marriage while while the man has the right to divorce. 3) Women must obey the husband 4) Women must seek permission to go somewhere from the husband.
The following hadith I believe exists in both Sunni and Shia sources:
A woman came to the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه واله and said: O’ Messenger of Allāh! What is the right of the husband over the wife? He said to her: She obeys him and does not disobey him, does not give anything in charity from her house except with his permission, she does not keep a voluntary fast without his permission and does not prevent him from herself even if she be on hunchback. She does not leave her house but with his permission; if she leaves without his permission, the angels of the heaven, the angels of the earth, the angels of wrath and the angels of mercy damn her until she returns to her house. So she said: O’ Messenger of Allāh! Who among the people has the greatest right on the man? He said: His parents. She said: Who among the people has the greatest right over the woman? He said: Her husband. She said: So do I have a right over him similar to what he has over me? He said: No, not [even] one in a hundred! She said: By the One Who sent you as a Prophet with the truth, no man shall ever own my neck.
These points where taken from religious scriptures of islam, hence proves islam to be sexist. Sounds like slavery to me. Ooh, bud it is! When you quote specifics as general I can see olodoness in you. Knowledge in Islām is highly stressed for both gender ,but I an extremist like you will support the Taliban on this because you are looking for a cheap way to attack Islām. Guess what? This didn't work, try harder loser! |

Lukuluku69: No one is doubting or disputing Pele greatness. No one.
Every human endeavor usually have that one individual who stands out among equals. Football, Boxing, Tennis and many others
Take Muhammad Ali for example. He won the World Championship Three Times and in his era there were many who could have lay claim to being the First among Equals. George Foreman, Jor Frazier, Ken Norton, Leon Spinks.
If it is the Number of World Cup won determines who is greater then the Brazilian Ronaldo is greater than Messi because he has Two World Cup winners Medals.
And talking about Maradona being the idol in Argentina that's true but does that leave out Messi?
Maradonna had a Second place and was a winner and so is Messi. They both have a Junior World Cup and Messi topped that with an Olympic Gold Medal, a Copa on a Team level but on the individual level you and I know Maradonna can't touch Messi.
But I am not a fan of saying who and who is greater. I just watch the game I love and that is it
I only point out the inconsistency in Oliseh argument
Cheers I get your point. Another correction: Ronaldo Nazario only won one world cup that's, Korea/Japan 2002...I doubt if he was in Brazil USA 94 squad dominated by Romario and the likes! Please check. |

Lukuluku69: True. Sunday Oliseh is all that you stated above. On a personal level I have known him since 1986 when he use to play for Methodist Boys High School Lagos.
Only some days before he made this statement, Sunday Oliseh said CR7 is the best of his generation. He said CR7 is the GOAT before Morroco took Portugal to the cleaners.
Why then the about face when Messi delivered the World Cup only for him to go and wake up Pele? That's an entirely different submission... The question was:who is the greatest footballer of all times NOT this generation, and no doubt,Pele is! Messi should make do with consolatory third or even fourth. Even in Argentina Maradona is still seen as a football idol. If it could take Messi three world cups to get one and it took Pele approximately four to get three then you should see greatness in Pelé. |

I.feel ashamed for this generation, if you guys knew what it tles to play football then you would not even cough in pretence when people like Oliseh is talking. TenQ: You need EVIDENCE?
Testimony of the Prophet
Quran 34:14 And when We decreed death for him, nothing showed his death to them save a creeping creature of the earth which gnawed away his staff. And when he fell the jinn saw clearly how, if they had known the Unseen, they would not have continued in despised toil.
Testimony of the Clerics The three clerics we saw were unanimous in their commentaries
1. Tafsir Ibn Kathir Qur'an 34:14 2. Tafsir Ibn ‘Abbâs Qur'an 34:14 3. Tafsir Al-Jalalayn Qur'an 34:14
The summary is presented below!
The Death of Sulayman Allah tells us how Sulayman, peace be upon him, died and how Allah concealed his death from the Jinn who were subjugated to him to do hard labor. He remained leaning on his stick, which was his staff , as Ibn `Abbas may Allah be pleased with him, Mujahid, Al-Hasan, Qatadah and others said. He stayed like that for a long time, nearly a year. When a creature of the earth, which was a kind of worm, ate through the stick, it became weak and fell to the ground. Then it became apparent that he had died a long time before. It also became clear to Jinn and men alike that the Jinn do not know the Unseen as they (the Jinn) used to imagine and tried to deceive people. This is what Allah says: مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلَى مَوْتِهِ إِلاَّ دَابَّةُ الاٌّرْضِ تَأْكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ أَن لَّوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُواْ فِى الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ (nothing informed them (Jinn) of his death except a little worm of the earth which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick. So when he fell down, the Jinn saw clearly that if they had known the Unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.) meaning, it became clear to the people that they (the Jinn) were lying.
So, can you please respond to the Question? I am asking you to please KINDLY answer for Allah in the STORY of Suleiman:
About the narration of Allah about prophet Suleiman (SAW) in the Qur'an, can you explain how [i]1. Suleiman died for almost one year and none of his wives knew!? 2. Suleiman died for almost one year and he was not served any food!? 3. Suleiman was dead for almost one year and he didn't decompose or rot!? 4. Suleiman was dead for almost one year and he didn't receive ANY visitors!?
So, HOW can you as Muslims explain these?
. The possible answer to this,Ibn Abbass (may Allah be pleased with him ) was quoted as saying "nearly" a year;and you asked a question as to whether his wives, visitors and all couldn't know if he was dead or alive. To the best of my knowledge that's not the reason for stating how he died it was to prove that even the jinns do not know about the unseen no matter their "vast" powers and yet, they couldn't tell when their master passed on. You should know one thing, we Muslims don't just start fishing for answers to question which are not relevant;. How he died ? How long he died? Wgo saw him die?are not relevant to us.. All we look at are the lessons we can get from what was revealed and narrated. Is just like asking you when you were in the hospital bed,how long did you sleep on the bed?.who visited you and how many hours they visited you. Did you wife or mother visit with a white cloth or walking stick? All these are irrelevant. Whether he died for one day or one year before anyone could know is not the main point, but the point being established is that jinns do not have knowledge of the unseen-to know the death of even a close one. One more thing, we believe wholeheartedly that the prophets do not decay!.So,thinking the stench of rotting corpse would have signalled the death of Solomon (peace be upon him) tin hus palace is out of the question. This is my Iast in this.. I pray you find guidance into Islām Peace to those who find true guidance! |

TenQ: My great grandfather died STANDING! I'm presently at the police station answering queries and so confused because of the news of my great grandfather's death. Let me explain, for him to be my great grandfather, you must at least admit that he is a very old man: he is not a young man. I have good fond memories about him.
My great grandfather was a very wise man. The wisdom from his mouth is out of this world. If you need the solution of any kind of philosophical question, my grandfather has an answer and a superior argument. I guess I took this analytical side from him. People (especially politicians) come from everywhere almost daily to inquire of his wisdom. My great grandfather was a polygamist: only himself know the exact number of wives he has, this is probably his only weakness I know.
The problem was that he died around January 1, 2021 (we dont know whether his death was from COVID-19 or not) and they just discovered this morning 17th December 2022. Before you cry fowl, apparently he died while standing and leaning on his walking stick. In fact, they discovered that he had been dead only because some termites or worms from the ground eat up the his walking stick and he fell. We went to a prophet who confirmed that my great grandfather actually died almost 12 months ago but nobody knew of his death till today. I have attached his testimony in the second page. Some Islamic clerics also buttressed the prophets claim (evidence also attached)
So, you will understand why this news is a big shock to me. We are making preparations for his burial ceremony.
Any comments of words for TenQ? Your questions would be entertained and well responded to.
Note: The police is insisting on doing autopsy as they are not believing the words of the prophet and the clerics. I will appreciate any help from you guys in convincing the inquiry of the police.
Copy: I’m tagging you before you claim that you are not aware of this
