I love Nuh(Noah). I explains that even if there are few believers in the world, Allah is still their Protector, and warns many Kafrs on the consequences to deny His Majesty. [flash=425,344]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/dB63F072wpY[/flash] In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1) Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them. (2) He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you (3) (Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me, (4) That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew. (5) He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day (6) But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance; (7) And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayest pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride. [8] And lo! I have called unto them aloud, (9) And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private. (10) And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord Lo! He was ever Forgiving. (11) He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain, (12) And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers. (13) What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignity (14) When He created you by (divers) stages? (15) See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony, (16) And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? (17) And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth, (18) And afterward He maketh you return thereto, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing. (19) And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for you (20) That ye may thread the valley ways thereof. (21) Noah said: My Lord! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin; (22) And they have plotted a mighty plot, (23) And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr. (24) And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error. (25) Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah. (26) And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land. (27) If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates. (28) My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin. |
Queenisha:But please, what do you derive by posting crimes of Muslims who don't even know(or willfully deny) what Islam is? Have you seen a Muslim on Nairaland only aiming to post crimes of fellow christians? First, the Yorubas used to say Igbos are all thieves, and Hausa also say all Yorubas are hypocrites. Now is it the turn to generalise Muslims as criminals? |
tpia:You see, when someone talks about the fundamental principles of Islam, you find people calling you all sorts of derogatory names. Fundamentalist, fanatic, terrorist and so on. I think it would be hypocritical to assume or hide what differentiates a real Muslim from an hypocrite. Unfortunately, the name you call people who don't compromise faith is as well used by Muslims who define themselves "moderate". Islam is not a religion that the western ideaology necessarily have to cling to but rather a religion that advocates laws that Muslims need to follow. Therefore, a good Muslim doesn't have to spread violence but at the same time wont sit in the midst of those who ridicule Islam which that Queenisha happens to belong in. She only post crimes by Muslims which in any case has no mission but to create a negative opinion about Muslims which you have also done. By the way looks have nothing to do with what you're, handsome, ugly o. God only needs your heart. |

Will Africa become cooler or colder if large parts of the world begin to tap and store the rays of the sun as a primary source of power? If Africa becomes or will become cooler as a result, are we sufficiently prepared to deal with the cold technologically? Or will we simply tap more solar power to generate more heating? What will be the effect of a cooler Africa on Europe and America? Will the Atlantic and similar oceans and water bodies become cooler, colder or will they freeze? Will this lead to reduced water sources and supply necessary for drinking, farming and sustenance of life? Is the search for renewable energy a futile race to prevent end times? Is the increasing global warming a sign of the end of planet earth? If so, is it stoppable or reversible? . Mr.lecturer |
Ujujoan:What could be more constructive? And has democracy solved Nigeria's problems When people try to make your life easier, you take it otherwise.KevinKupr8:Well said my brother |
My plan is to make Nigeria Africa's superpower so here are my plans: Development of Nigeria. As a leader, my hope is to develop the nation as quickly as possible. Insha Allahu, I will get the best Engineers and Professionals to look into the development of my country. The roads I dream is to have 5 lanes going and coming on major highways for vehicles. Houses will be destroyed. Roads/Transpath It is important that we build state of the art roads or transpath for the people of Nigeria. An important thing is to make a rapid change not to refurish the roads but start afresh. Rails and road network will be constructed to every place that will ease commercial transportation of foods and other resources. There should be signs and roadmaps for people to see and also overhead railways for transport from the North to South and so on. This would be done by experts, I will dedicate billions into this without favour from anyone except Allah and those who love good works. Electricity All wires and cables will be passed underground like other developed countries. There will be adequate manpower to power to generate electricity by seizing the funds of those who embezzled at the first. And Muslims around the world can rally round to make this happen. All poles that are used now will be destroyed and condemned. Turbines and solar panels will be used to power electricity. Agriculture This is vital. Because of the steps the party may have taken to gain power, we will have alot of enemies. This may include US and its allies. They will not give AID to Nigeria. Therefore, I will import farming tools and machineries not for farmers to pay. But as government property for the people.Farm(arable) lands that are not in use(like Ibadan to Ogbomosho) will be used for farming. In this project, it is important that I focus on technology, how will our food be sustained even out of season? If food is readily avaliable, with transport, things will get cheaper and cheaper. Most lands unused by the government today will be used for farming and lumbering. Housing. Nigerians will need houses, when developing the country, a citizen has two options. To leave or stay. Therefore, camps will be made for people that are poor and uneducated or unable to have what we call a "good house". Those who are educated will have camps and will go to work for the country's development. I will destroy 80% of the houses in Nigeria, and change the people's idealogy that;"we work not for money but prosperity." My people(I saying):"If we keep from evil and endure, soon will God's help reach us". Health Doctors with experience will remain and keep people in good health. Hospitals will work 24hours a day with state of the art facilities. Equipment will be imported from abroad an installed. Nurses and doctors may be demoted or sent back to medical school for knowledge. Technology This is my area of specialization, and I hope Insha Allahu, to establish a company with my Arabian friends that is dominant on the web. Any money I make will be used for charity before coming to power. Electronics and computers must be manufactured in Nigeria, therefore I will encourage technological giant companies to come to Nigeria and exploit the nation's silicion. In return, my government must be assured that potential Nigerian engineers learn from them and make electronics cheap and affordable to everyone with quality paramount. Legislation Strictly shariah, we cannot compromise that. I will have the "office of consult" that look inot every vital decision as to what Muhammed the prophet laid down. If I see a modification or error then we return to our source. Christians please don't feel threathed. ![]() Underlegislation Sexual Affairs: Any caught having sex without marriage will be beaten and any having sex even married with another man's wife will be killed. No compromise. Inheritance: According to Shariah Murder: According to Shariah Idolatry: Prohibited Resource Allocation and Tax. That is share equally and take Zakat from every well to do one, to avoid poverty. Taxes should only be taken from Non-Muslims who still wish to cling to their faith, thus would not pay Zakat. Communication/Media We do not condole a free media. Free in the sense of freedom broadcast of anything including but not limited to pornography, vain discourse, propaganda and disassociation from our reality. Telecommunication companies will be founded and calling within Nigeria must be free. Satellite TV must focus only on the positive side of the nation and any media house found wanting in defying the religion of Islam will not only be banned from broadcast but also prosecuted under the maximum extent of the Islamic jurisdiation. Employment Young men with positive minds will be employed to work with companies but those who are known to have one form of crime or the other will be kept either in prisions or reform homes or brought to justice. No man in the Islamic Federation of Nigeria should be a terror to his brother. However, the old and elderly will retire at the age of 61 or thereabout and will be sent to religious institutions for the purpose of why Allah the Most High ask them to rememeber Him. Government Policy They are strictly Shariah. Nothing more or less. Christians don't feel threathen. ![]() Banking/Finances We will device a way to avoid interest rate by frustrating commerical banks that practise interest to liquidate or change its policies to the right way. Banks will monitor the funds and worth of citizens and automatically deduct Zakat fees(Muslims) or taxes for Non-Muslims. That will save the people from the fire ready to roast the hoarder. Social Infrastructure Facilites like street lights, water dispensers, social parks, public restrooms, running tanks in case of fire will be installed in every block such that in a street it will be readily avaliable. The Islamic Federattion of Nigeria(After Development) As the world moves towards development and my trustworthy chiefs plan in accordance with Allah. Nigeria will use resources like its crude oil to fund its projects. Malls will be built instead of shopping complexes and every carpenter will be sent to the newly developed universites to learn carpentry. There will be alot of mosques playing the Koran in English or other native dialects. Everything in the country will seem new and modern, there will be change in every aspect from poorly done to highly developed. However, unlike the western world where materialism seem to be the light of the day; The Islamic Federation of Nigeria will condone no extravagances or hollywood life. I as head of the Islamic Federation will live a life only as simple as that of Muhammed or less. Vehicles that are condenmed and writeoff will be destroyed and good vehicles will be avaliable for the common citizen. The zakat procedure will help the common citizens have a monthly or weekly income to buy what is reasonable in the Eyes of Allah. For His promise is true. Psycologically, I have spoken to Nigerians and I know how they are. I notice that the elite and the rich are the most difficult to please. Concerning Marriage. There will be no room for boyfriend, girlfriend in the Islamic Federation of Nigeria. If you love her, marry her in not more than 3 monthes. Failure will incur a great penalty if informed to the authorities of God's cabinet. Concerning Theifs Theft of the hand using weapons or intellectually will be the concern of the legislation of the Koran and Sunnah of Allah's Messenger-Muhammed. Birth Control Use of medical devices to stop birth rate in the Federation will incur a great wrath from Allah by His government. Use of condoms or pills to avoid pregrancy will appear as though we are modifying what His Majesty Commanded and void His puropse of Creation. Nigerians in this time neeed not worry of who will take care of children if they are married because God promises to provide by His government and wealthly Muslims. Miltary/Weaponry Being an African super power, it is our intention to equip soliders with the state of the art vehicles such as tanks and fighter jets. Prefarbly manufacture them within the country by engineers who are specialist in this field. It is not the countries intention to oppress neighbouring countries but to help with the spread of the message and assist to maintain stability. Foriegn Policy and Affairs Just like the United States of America, the Islamic Federation of Nigeria will encourage people from nationalites such as Arabia and other Muslim colonies who are not willing to cause harm to do business and become citizens. Thanks for reading this brief statement. |
I just heard from aljazeera that the Russian president has ordered a ceasefire and possibly withdraw its armed forces. End of war. |
Expensive juju • Can of worms over billion naira voodoo By HENRY UMAHI Saturday, August 9, 2008 •Edem It has all the characteristics of a Nollywood visual enamoured script. Even if it is, it paints an eccentrically spectacular movie picture bound to subdue home video faithfuls. Yet, it is not a make-belief offering. It is a true story still unfolding. The gist is that about N1million was invested in a voodoo project by a government official in a country where more than 80 percent of the population lives below poverty line. At the centre of the storm is Mr. Sam Edem, a former diplomat and chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), an interventionist agency saddled with the responsibility of ameliorating the dehumanizing living condition prevalent in the oil rich region. As the story swirls, Nigerians fired a tangle of questions. Could this be true? Where did he get the money? What manner of man would engage in juju at this age of religion explosion? What moral lesson does it teach? Indeed, what does the revelation say of Nigerian leaders? To be sure, Edem has not denied making such huge investment. Also, the voodoo practitioner, Perekabowei Ogah alias Mathew Sanoma, the 34-year-old native of Bomadi, Delta State, has confessed that Edem paid a hefty sum of money to him. The bone of contention is why the money changed hands. The NDDC chairman claims that he is a victim of devastating confidence trickster masquerading as a spiritualist and who mounted savage attacks on his pockets. Addressing newsmen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Monday, August 4, the American-trained diplomat admitted that Ogah, who he described as an illiterate who could not even write his name except to thumb print, collected money running into hundreds of millions of naira from him. He said that when the scale fell from his eyes, he petitioned the police. He lamented however, that the police responded very late to the effect that by the time Ogah was arrested and detained at the Zone 5 Police Headquarters, Benin City, he had emptied the account where the money was lodged. According to Edem’s lawyer, Mr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, “as at the time we made the report, there was about N350 million in the suspect’s account. We showed them the hotel built by the suspect from the fraud money. There were many cars that the police should have confiscated, but they never did that and the illiterate suspect was not detained even for a day. “If the police had frozen the account, the money would have been enough to defray my client’s loss. But they only froze the account after the money was withdrawn down to N10 million.” In a handwritten statement to the police, Edem volunteered: “The amount of money the fraudster collected from me through the hypnotic spell is about N800 million. The extortion spread over months.” On his part, Ogah claimed that he was paid to do a job, which he did to the best of his ability and was compensated accordingly. Then he opened a can of worms. In his statement to the police published by Newswatch magazine, he claimed that Edem contracted him to eliminate or incapacitate, by diabolical means, Mr. Timi Alaibe, Managing Director of NDDC and Governor Godswill Akpabio as well as “work on the Vice President, Goodluck Jonathan so that he can always obey him (Edem) and always support him if there is any plan to remove him from office.” Ogah threw a bomb. He said: “It is important to say here that the petitioner used his hand to burn the sum of two hundred and seventy million naira (N270, 000, 000) while he was naked in a burial ground in Port Harcourt.” On Edem’s allegation that he cast a spell on him, having disguised as a pastor, he said: “I did not at anytime tell the petitioner that I am a pastor, neither did I promise to offer him prayers, but the only thing is that I bathed him with good luck and fast luck which worked out for him. It is not true that I cast him with a spell in order to drain his money.” In the beginning Now, how did it all begin? Ogah explained that he met Edem through one Kakas Amgbari who took him to the former diplomat’s house in Port Harcourt sometime late last year. Purpose? To offer spiritual succour to Edem who perceived that he was on the verge political and economic downsizing. Hear Ogah: “On getting there, the petitioner asked me if I could help him get back his job, that he had been relieved of his appointment, NDDC having been dissolved. I told him that I could do it, but it was going to be very difficult. He then asked me not to worry, that he would not mind whatever it would cost him to get it done. On that note, I listed the items required for the sacrifice to cost the sum of fifteen million naira which he subsequently paid into my executive savings account, which I have with Oceanic Bank, Ughelli.” He said that when he delivered, as promised, an impressed Edem gave him further assignments concerning Jonathan, Akpabio and Alaibe. “Based on the seriousness of the task he requested for,” Ogah remarked, “I charged him N570 million.” He disclosed that his client gave him N310 million, leaving a balance of N260 million. How the bubble burst The relationship between Edem and Ogah became sour when the latter could not execute the new assignment to the satisfaction of the former. Is it that the hunter is unskilled or the prey is smart? Ogah attributed his inability to live up to expectations to the client’s refusal or inability to follow instructions to the latter as well as circumstances beyond his control. “After the expiration of the period within which the said Timi Alaibe was to die, the petitioner came to ask me to ask why the charm did not work and I told him that his (Alaibe’s) spirit is too strong. On that note he grew annoyed and asked me to refund the money he paid for Timi’s work. I told him that I was not refunding anything and that he was still owing me to the turn of two hundred and sixty million Naira (N260, 000,000). There and then, he said he was not going to pay anything again,” he explained. He added: “Before then, the petitioner had a very bad relationship with Governor Akpabio, who does want to see him again. In order to bring them together, I worked it out for both the governor and the petitioner to meet in his house. I told him clearly to use the charm I gave to him to touch Apabio’s drink and after which he should use the charm to touch the ground. But after his discussion, the governor kindly awarded a contract of road construction to the tune of seven million Naira to him. After the departure of the governor from his house, the charm affected him, and was subsequently flow abroad. “The petitioner was afraid that the governor would die, so he came and told me that he forget to use the said charm to touch the ground. In order to secure Akpabio’s life, I told him that the work will cost him the sum of fifty million naira (50,000,00), which he paid.” It was when the 58-year-old NDDC boss got tired of the endless payments ,as it were, that he went to the police to spill the beans. Or as he puts it, “by the time God rescued me from his spell, this criminal and his cohorts had drained me financially, emotionally and psychologically. I have equally come to realise that he stole my photograph and used it for his nefarious diabolical activities. It is impetrative to state here that throughout the period of my dealing with this man, I was not in control of myself.” Edem said that the extortion game run from November 2007 till April 2008, with dangerous threats to my life, my family members and staff.” Expectedly, the NDDC chairman has denied the allegation that he put a price on the heads of his political rivals, namely, Akpabio and Alaibe. He claimed that the development has a political undertone. Hear him: “The whole show has a lot to do with 2011, which they think I will contest the gubernatorial election. But I had told the governor that I will be one of those to lead him back to the government house in 2011. I will be a fool to try to destroy the governor who I helped to bring to power. I don’t believe in pull-down syndrome. Akwa Ibom should rise as a group and condemn this syndrome. There is a campaign of calumny to smear my name. I can’t start now at 58 to plan killing somebody.” The Goodluck, Alamieyeseigha connection Following the complaint lodged with the police by Edem regarding the failed deal, a search was conducted in Ogah’s house. The item recovered included a government House, Yenagoe staff identity card and a Bayelsa Government House plate number: BYGH 43. How did the items come into the native doctor’s possession? “The Government House, Yenagoa staff identity card recovered from my house by the police was issued to me by ex-governor Alamieyeseigha when I was his spiritual godfather during his tenure and that of ex-governor Goodluck Jonathan. The Bayelsa Government House plate number for Peugeot 504 assigned to one Bobo 2pac, a younger brother to Alamieyeseigha. Sometime in the year 2000, I used the vehicle and had an accident along Biama Road. At the moment, the vehicle is in Bayelsa State government house. I kept the said plate number in my house by mistake,” Ogah told the police. Taken by his words therefore, Ogah has been doing business with government people for long. Saturday Sun gathered that some of those involved in the juju scandal tried to cover it up before the stench reached the window. Government by jujumen Nigerians are outraged and scandalized that at this age, the country’s leaders remain avid patrons of juju practitioners. Not too long ago, the people were treated to a macabre drama when then godfather of Anambra State, Chief Chris Uba told a bewildered nation that pursuant to making Dr. Chris Ngige governor of the state, the latter was made to take an oath at the notorious Okija shrine. Ngige initially put up a feeble deniable, in the face of incontrovertible evidence, saying that his pastor implored him to attend the juju feast with holy water and Bible. Lagos lawyer and public affairs advocate, Mr. Chukwuanugo Ejikeme views the juju saga as a sad commentary on the country’s leadership content. “What manner of leaders do we have in this country?”, he asked rhetorically. According to him, “it is indeed a tragedy that in this age where contest of ideas make the difference, those occupying offices in these parts pander to the queer. It is even more confounding when you consider the fact that many of the juju patrons are educated people, enlightened people who ought to lead the way. It is regrettable to say the least.” Ejikeme contended that considering the hefty sums of money being mentioned in the juju transaction, there is no gainsaying that the country has been ripped off somewhere by someone. In the same view, Princess Ukachi Ohalete, a marketing strategist, reasoned that the image of the country is being rubbished in the process. “This is not the best way to market a country. At a time when we should be talking about rebranding the country in terms of sprucing up her image, some charlatans in the corridors of power are working to the contrary. It shows that their education and exposure has no value,” she submitted. The Presidency steps in Worried by the scandal the voodoo report has caused, the Presidency has ordered a thorough investigation. President Umar Yar’Adua has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Sir. Mike Okiro and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to dig into the matter. Saturday Sun gathered that the Federal Government wants the police and the EFCC to find out how the NDDC chairman made the kind of money he allegedly lost to the sorcerer. It was gathered that the Presidency reasoned that if Edem could spend such amount, it means he has much more money than that. The EFCC, it was learnt, has already started work on the Edem scandal. Sources at the anti-graft agency say that when investigation was concluded Edem would be picked up. The source said that the NDDC chairman would not be invited yet to make a statement until the EFCC is convinced that he has a case to answer. Also, it was gathered that the EFCC is investigating other past chairmen of the NDDC, reasoning that if a sitting chairman could be linked to such colossal amount of money, it means that much deals go on in the agency. The EFCC is said to be looking into contract awards since the NDDC came into being and the use of funds by officials of the agency. Nigeria when will you grow up! |

CHAPTER 70 At Caesarea Philippi Jesus departed from Jerusalem after the Passover, and entered into the borders of Caesarea Philippi. Whereupon, the angel Gabriel having told him of the sedition which was beginning among the common people, he asked his disciples, saying: "What do men say of me?" They said: "Some say that you are Elijah, others Jeremiah, and others one of the old prophets." Jesus answered: "And you; what say you that I am?" Peter answered: "You are Christ, son of God." Then was Jesus angry, and with anger rebuked him, saying: "Begone and depart from me, because you are the devil and seek to cause me offences And he threatened the eleven, saying: "Woe to you if you believe this, for I have won from God a great curse against those who believe this." And he was fain to cast away Peter; whereupon the eleven besought Jesus for him, who cast him not away, but again rebuked him saying: "Beware that never again you say such words, because God would reprobate you!" Peter wept and said: "Lord, I have spoken foolishly; beseech God that he pardon me." Then Jesus said: "If our God willed not to show himself to Moses his servant, nor to Elijah whom he so loved, nor to any prophet, will you think that God should show himself to this faithless generation? But know you not that God has created all things of nothing with one single word, and all men have had their origin out of a piece of clay? Now, how shall God have likeness to man? Woe to those who suffer themselves to be deceived of Satan!" And having said this, Jesus besought God for Peter, the eleven and Peter weeping, and saying: "So be it, so be it, O blessed Lord our God." Afterwards Jesus departed and went into Galilee, in order that this vain opinion which the common folk began to hold concerning him might be extinguished. |
