Am not in support of songs that use instruments that are haram, you say we should listen to the Qur'an. Yea that's the best, but how would it feel listening to the Qur'an every time you drive your vehicle and when you are about to go on a long travel. Do you think listening to the Qur'an is some sort of pleasure (as in music) I don't listen to the Qur'an all the time, because if you understand it's meanings and believe in it, you will reckon that it needs to be listened to frequently but not all the time.

I wont judge your understanding about the deen, but even those whom many think have extreme views about Islam are not opposed to Nasheeds that praise Allah, support the Mujahidin, and bring hope that the Muslims will be the victors. The Nasheed I post over a year ago is not using the sax, neither a piano nor anything of such.

When you have children and tell them to listen to the Qur'an only, that's your own choice. I did not say men and women should dance together, I neither dance, nor do I know how to.

Therefore, Islam is against Holy war. It is against killing innocent people. Qur’an stipulates that whoever kills one person it’s as if he killed human beings at large; and whoever saves the life of one person it’s as if he saved the lives of all people on this planet.

I have a problem with the bolded.Why use sect. I hate that word. I'm also Ahlus-Sunnah, but calling ahlus-sunnah a sect could be misleading. That is true Islam, trying to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah and ignoring bid'ah. It's not a sect, it's simply following the original, prophetic path.

Dear brothers and sisters I decided to post this video by a reputable Sheikh from the Ahl Us Sunnah wal Jammah (my sect). It talks about Islamic extremism. Extremism takes different forms, the main reason why this is posted is to try and educate ourselves on the dangers of extremism. Boko Haram's complete withdrawal of western education and avoiding to use vehicles (so am told) is not the right way to go about. In fact, we need to be educated and actively participate in the way our world is govern, with Islam and Science in the fore front.

Abuzola is it true that boko haram does not want any form of education as in western, even if it has to improve them technologically? While am not a Muslim that can be classified as solely following the western values blindly, I don't think it's right to shun western education completely. They can revile the economic aspect of Islam, the lifestyle and policies. But saying no to maths, physics and co is suicidal and counter productive.

I will post a video from one of my Sheikhs on Islamic Extremism (Insha Allah). We don't have to be rigid on our line of thought.

Am highly disappointed at what you said concerning this dead Muslims. In any case, it is not right for a Muslim to laugh or make fun at the failures of his fellow Muslim brother, even if they had a fight or quarrel between each other, before the disaster befell them. I am not in Nigeria, and I think there is a propaganda campaign that creates the illusion that bako or whether is an Islamic sect, that does not believe in the fundamentals of Islam. The inspector general of police is not a Muslim but a Christian, before the so called bako sect attacked, the militants in Niger delta harmed people, they most probably killed people but the case was never reported. I have being hearing of the Niger delta militants since the days of obasanjo, and they do alot of mischeif. But when a sect comes out to affirm the Islamic belief, (am not saying shuning everything western is the sole solution to our problem in Nigeria) 200 were killed in less than two day. AIT is not reporting anything, I watch this with BBC/AlJazeera or Press TV. Could it be that AIT prefers to show more Music from rugggedman than talk about this killings

If Obasanjo was still our president, I could have said because he was a Christain he did it unpurpose not to infer, but Yar'adua is a failure to Islam, he is a disgrace, can't he do something. The police are killing them, yet from what i see in Iran, this militants (Islamist) don't even have firearms, if the police was not a corrupt institution that collects bribe from the people, maybe their cause will be noble.

Is killing Boko Haram people fair ? Why didn't the government call them for dialogue and settle this amicably, the leader Muhammad yusuf is somewhere hiding leaving the followers persecuted. His followers are almajirai who are dependant on food either by labouring for you and you feed them or by begging, this almajirai know nothing and they are left with no option because of unemployment, the armed forces have killed close to 200 of them in the ongoing fight, most of them are teens. I report just reaching me says there is a fierce gunbattle with the soldiers surrounding muhammad yusuf house and the islamist. My question is Why didn't they kill the members of Niger delta militants who also fight the government. I see this as unjust and unfair for the ignorant almajirai.

I always said it, when the Inspector General is not a Muslim, what do you expect? Their intent is to wipe away Muslims completely off the face of the earth, but they will be the lowest. This people practice Al-Wala wal bara, many Muslims do not.

This is so sad, government must do something.

So you think Al-Jazeera is purely Muslim . They are secular in their report, Press TV seem to convey more of Islam than Al-Jazeera, don't get confused because it has to do with Arab or controlled by Muslims, it is purely western in a context.

I've heard many married men saying one their biggest mistake is marrying a Nigerian lady, 'specifically from the south, west and eastern part of Nigeria. These guys complains for lack of true love and respect in the marriage even though they respect their wives.

[li]Some of these men even complain that the moment the wedding ceremony is over the whole idea of "who is the head of home" changes and that the wife wants to do all the controlling, (why).

Some even say they found out that these ladies tend to love their mum the more and to the fact that there's no more hidden secret in their home.

Some goes on to say their wives have overturn their destiny to theirs (can this be true) that the moment they got married to their wife everything crumbled in their life.

This can be true to a large extent, but it can't be all Nigerian women. There will be some or few who are different. By the way, it's not a must for you to marry from your own people, if you prefer other nationals please go head and care less about what the people may say.

There is no doubt that at least 85% of the non-Muslims who post on the Muslim section don't seek to know the truth about the religion of Islam. They come day in and day out writing things the mind of a singled minded worshiper of the true One God may not think till his death. Therefore, I implore the moderators on nairaland to ban the any poster seeking to defy the religion of Islam for no reason other than hating truth. I also urge Muslims on the nairaland that we report any thread defying this religion without the aim of responding to the attacker.


The only way to sanitize this section is to ban this people, delete their hateful post, and ignore them in their misleading pride. Non-Muslims who wish to learn about Islam from an objective point of view should be respected. I thank brothers such as Olabowale, babs, littleb,oyb who respond to defend Islam, however, I do not support your responses in a form that seek to make a joke of this people. We do not need to win them by smiling with them when their intent is evil, but by the massive report of the poster and the topic to the moderators (makina or Jarus) and creating threads that would educate "our" own people, is better.

It is better to forgive if mukina has done anything that hurt you badly, why don't you just settle this privately? The kafrs are also happy when Muslims fight. Take for example, the Sunni and Shia sect, the Kafrs use this to divide the Ummah. The earlier we overlook our faults and amend the better.
