Airlines business is not a profitable business . No serious businessman is into aviation business. As said by someone " no top 100 billionaire in the world is into aviation business" it's all fancy and glamour with no profitability or liquidity.

Since it is a very low margin business... volumes and routes are key . That's why having a national carrier is most.

We also need competition in local flights. It is currently too pricey and these guys are cheating customers. How can a flight of less than one hour to the east be #500k during festive season. That is devilish.

Osimhen move to PSG sealed with €13m annual salary

French Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly secured a deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Italian media outlet Il Mattino.
PSG‘s interest in the Nigerian striker stems from their need to find a replacement for the departing Kylian Mbappe, who is set to join Real Madrid. An agreement has been reached with Osimhen, signalling his imminent move to Parc des Princes.
The 25-year-old, having signed a new contract with Napoli in December that includes a €130 million release clause, is poised to bid farewell to the Italian club at the end of the current season. Reports indicate that PSG has agreed to meet this hefty release clause to secure Osimhen’s services.

“Victor Osimhen and Napoli will part ways at the end of the current season, with the player set to be sold upon payment of the €130 million release clause,” as quoted by Area Napoli.
PSG emerges as the frontrunner for Osimhen’s signature, with Thursday’s edition of Il Mattino detailing the significant offer made to the Nigerian striker.
“It’s farewell to Italy. Osimhen’s final weeks in Italy are upon us, with PSG very close to securing his services.

“Paris stands as Osimhen’s top choice, and PSG is eager to conclude the deal swiftly.”
According to Il Mattino, Osimhen’s move to PSG will see him earn a staggering €13 million annually over a four-year contract, with additional control over his image rights.
“The Nigerian sensation is set to earn over €13million per year for the next four years. He will manage his image rights independently and is expected to sign lucrative sponsorship deals with Qatari partners associated with President Al-Khelaifi’s club.

“Any potential last-minute efforts from Premier League clubs to hijack the deal seem unlikely to derail PSG’s plans at this stage.”

Nigeria’s Central Bank fires 50 more staff

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has sacked 50 more staff across 29 departments on Monday, adding to the list of ongoing disengagements in the apex bank.
This brings the number to a total of 117 in the last 20 days.

The dismissal cuts across directors, deputy directors, assistant directors, principal managers, senior managers and lower ranking staff.
The distribution of termination letters, which started on March 15, has continued every other week with palpable apprehension amongst staff of every cadre as the management has not specified any standard criteria for the decisions, insiders told our correspondent.

Since the commencement of the sacking, officials of the apex bank have refused to comment on the matter.
