Thanks a lot @FrontPageLawyer & @Justwise
I want to confirm if it is very important for my company to pay for the training cost in advance before applying for the visa?
Since we have to be sure that the visa is out before making payment. The training organizer in UK already sent an invitation letter while we have not yet paid. Will UK embassy still expect payment before visa is granted?

You mentioned hotel reservation in documents required for Business visa. I saw in UK website that they don't need hotel & flight bookings.
See attached extract from their website stating that they don't need these. Can you give clarification?

I am also confused as regards the correct website through which I will apply online for the Business visa.
From the Uk website, they now classify business visit as standard visitor. They mentioned that standard visitors can use http://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/uk-visit-visa while other visitors can use http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk.
Please do you know of anyone who has recently applyed for Business visa this year 2016 and what website they used?

@FrontPageLawyer & @Justwise ,is there a way you can send me your email add? I need further assistance on checking some documents.
mine is contact4online@yahoo.com

Thanks

To confirm your reservation for the training, advance payment is required and of course you need to submit a confirm hotel booking except you have other accommodation you're staying in the UK. Flight reservation is not a requirement.

Use www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. It's a very simple procedure.

My first refusal was due to the fact that the ECO stated that I didnt have enough funding when I applied for Masters program in UK.
This was about 10 years ago.
My second refusal was that I didnt demonstrate how am related to a family member i wanted to visit in the UK.
This was about 6 years ago.
Please advice me if I need an immigration lawyer to assist me with this new application.

My company in Nigeria has just nominated me for this training in UK . My company is a subsidiary of a Parent company(a Group company) based in Europe(but outside UK). This parent company organizes foreign training for the local companies under it.

I am expecting an invitation letter from the company in UK for the official training. The invitation letter will state that the Parent company will pay the UK company the cost of training on behalf of my Nigerian company who will reimburse its parent company later.
My company in Nigeria is also writing an introduction letter stating that it will be responsible for all the cost of the training, accommodation , flight & feeding in uk. My Nigerian company will also provide bank statement to show its capability to fund my Uk training.
The Parent company will only write a letter confirming that it will pay the UK company the training cost on behalf of the Nigerian company.
I would have preferred that my Nigerian company directly pays the UK company the cost of training but the UK company is only accepting payment from the Parent company.
It was the Parent company in Europe that negotiated & arranged the training with the UK company.

My second concern now(apart from my initial question) is that this Parent company will only write a letter stating that it will pay the UK company on behalf of the Nigerian company.

Is the letter from the Parent company going to be any issue before the ECO? Is the letter sufficient?
Will the ECO not see the Parent company as a 3rd party?
Are there other documents being expected from the parent company?

Please help

Anybody can make the payment; the ECO is more concerned about the original receipt of payment and a confirm reservation for the training.

Your past refusals are not much of a problem, but you must clearly disclose and give concise reasons for all past refusals in your new application. It’s called an integrity test. Your new visa application will be treated/considered differently.

Documents you need from your company;

Registration Certificate
Tax clearance Certificate
Introduction letter from company
Statement of account or Letter of sponsorship, this depends on the type of organization you work with.

Document you need to prove your ties to your home country.

Employment letter
Introduction Letter from company
Hotel reservation
Training receipt and seat reservation
Six months statement of account print out (Salary Account)
Six months payslip showing monthly tax deduction or Personal Income Tax card.
And any other documents to prove your ties to Nigeria, e.g. property documents, shares document, inheritance, Marriage certificate and Children Birth Certificate.

Hello house, can We use investment/fixed deposit certificate that is done in our child's name for our UK visa application? Will it be tenable?

The Investment and Fixed deposit Certificate are financial instrument, even though it belongs to your child; you can submit it since you facilitated it. The certificate increases your chances of getting a visa (economy ties), however it is very important you submit your salary account statement/personal bank statement with good history of inflows and outflows because that is where you have the funds that is readily available for your proposed trip.

Pls house. Under this NEW UK visa portal, how can one apply for visiting visa-tourism as a family.

I have at least an under-7 years old child that is part of the family and understandably does not have email account yet. It appears I cannot use one visa account (with my email address) for two applications, how will I then link the applications of the 5 of us as a family?

Thanks

Yes you can, except you're doing the wrong thing.

Also note that all applicants applying for a visit visa who are aged under the age of 18 at the time of application should select the “Special Visitor – Child” category when making their visa application. They should not apply as a General Visitor or Family Visitor. Failure to comply with this may result in delays in processing their application.

Hi, please kindly assist with my question, My brother is having his convocation in June and has sent an IV for myself and my mom to attend the convocation ceremony alongside his scanned British passport, my question is this, I do not have a business registration document, but I do buying and selling of stuffs sent to me by my brothers abroad and also do supply of building materials, I have good inflows and outflows out of my accounts, I have 2 landed properties, One is completed and rents been paid, the other is still at completion stage, I'm married with a kid, but did the traditional marriage and not the court marriage, so I have no marriage certificate only pictures, I have been to South Africa twice for visit, one was with my mom, do I have a good case and what are the documents required to be submitted both from myself and the ones my brother needs to send. thanks

By law, every enterprise in Nigeria is required to be registered and complied with the Corporate Affairs Commission. A business operating without registration cast doubt on the business' ability to conduct business in an ethical or competent fashion. The business is also considered illegal by Government and also to the entry clearance officer since it does not remit tax to the government.

SOLUTION: Trial and error.

Thanks frontpagelawyer..
my salary is #250,000 and am marry with a child. my balance in my statement of Account is #850k
and i have include my Landed property..
Kindly advise on the Receipt i want to include.. should it be Duplicate or original one i issue.

All your documents should be submitted in their originals and Photocopies. Only your work ID will be returned back to you at the submission centre.

You have strong ties that can qualify as proof. That being said, there is no guarantee about visas, but the better prepared with relevant documents, the better your chances of getting an approval. For your statement of account, make sure there are regular activities at least for the past 4-6 months prior to submission. The entry clearance officer needs proof that your purpose of travel is legitimate such that you can afford the trip without using your life savings.

i want to submit my application,
and will like to add my landed

in my account, Nov 2015.
The Question now is....... can i

kindly help me out on This ooooo.
Thanks.

13k & 12k are insignificant amounts to be worried about. Detail out your ties so it can be analysed here before submission. It's important to know that the law places a burden of proof on you to prove that you have substantial ties that would compel you to leave the UK at the end of your short visit. Example: employment, business, family, properties, inheritance, social and family relationship.

Please where can I get prepaid envelope? Or is it possible to get from German Embassy? I went to one of the DHL outlets and was told it is not possible.

Apparently those agents don't know about "prepaid envelope" Contact DHL 01-2700908 and go to their office near you. You can also get one at the German consulate, but for the safety of your documents, I'll advise you purchase a prepaid envelope in a registered office.

Yes am among D directors of the company and yes we pay tax. As for the cash salary I don't know what to do, suggestions please. Thanx

There are standard immigration laws that guides the entry clearance officers. If you cannot prove that your job is subsisting and the N100k is your monthly salary, the officer will have no other option than to reject your application which is justifiable if rules are followed. No amount of writing will convince the visa officer without a single paper evidence to show.

Hello wonderful people in the house. I applied for Uk visit visa In March but was refused, the reason for the refusal was given as lodgement of huge some on a particular day 3 huge deposits of, 700k,320k,and 110k from different people, although I have an Uncle in d Uk funding d acct for me as I have established him as my Cousin and my promoter for my music business. There had being some other huge deposits from him transfered to me with his company name reflecting on my statement of acct, I also run d acct with my clients with varied deposits ranging between 50k to 100k,at times lesser depending on how frequent my music functions comes, dont forget my Uncle too is funding d acct for me and will be the one to be responsible for my invitation and my bills.
Another point of refusal was stated as failure to proof d ownership of d huge some of various deposits ranging from 3m,500k,700k,300k and so on as my Uncle uses all these to fund his company here in Naija. As at d period of my application I had like 900k as my balance before refusal. I intend to put in Another application come June pls advice so as not to experience that kind of defeat at d first instance.. Thanks all.

This is the umpteenth times we discussing this singular problem here and it baffles me why a lot of people still make this same mistake of making huge cash deposits into their bank accounts prior to visa application; this action is called “Money Lodgement” which is an express ground for visa refusal. Whether intentional or unintentional, the entry clearance officer is unbothered and must adhere strictly to immigration laws.

With such account you CANNOT get a visa, because the account does not meet the requirement of an acceptable bank statement as it arouses serious suspicions one of which is money laundering.

An acceptable bank statement must have up to six months transaction records demonstrating your income (from verifiable sources) and expenditures, and it must have good enough fund to sustain your trip and intentions, and also; it must have enough balance to keep you going after the trip. Your account does not show anything relating to your business, how the money was made. All you have in your account is huge deposit which cannot be verified.

I regret to say that until your bank statements meet the standard format as explained, you cannot apply in June, July, August, September, October, November and even December. You will continue to get refused no matter how many times you applied or how much money you have in your accounts until you meet up with the requirements.

Good luck

Thanx everyone, so are u saying is a concern that company pays cash into my account? I will be staying with my sister, and our company is registered here in Nigeria. What are my chances? Thanx everyone

Yes. It's a big problem if you cannot satisfy the ECO with paper evidence that the N100k is actually your salary. A company with proper organisational structure will not pay its workers' salaries in that amount through cash except it's invading tax.

You mentioned operating a company with your sister. Are you listed as a director in the memorandum of article and association?

Does the company pay tax to FIRS?

I meant salary cash deposit

Many companies pay salary by direct deposit or check, while small business owners pay salaries in cash. It’s normally acceptable to pay cash as a small business owner provided it is done legally with tax deduction reflecting on your pay slip. Not deducting tax from your wages means you are getting paid “under the table,” which is illegal.

Is Cash deposit a red flag?

Significant amounts of cash deposit YES.
Insignificant amount of cash deposit NO.

Large Cash deposit is taken under the assumption that the money has been earned illegally and unless you produce documented proof that you obtained the cash legally from a verifiable source, then it is assumed to have been made illegally.

What is your total monthly income from all sources of employment or occupation after tax. Total should be in Naira and Not Pound

What is the cost to you personally of your stay in the UK. Enter 1053 GBP. Don't get confused with the question, you should enter the same amount you have in this question "What money is available to you for your trip" The question is simple. How much of your personal money will you spend on the proposed trip? since you are the sole sponsor and you're spending 1053GBP. Then it's fine.

You don't have to lose sleep over this. Just fill your form correctly and be realistic with your budget.

NB: the Boss, you havent answered my question on TAX certificate as against tax receipt.....

Consulates/Embassies evaluates your company through its tax clearance certificate to determine financial strength, its capacity and most importantly for compliance requirement.

Tax clearance certificates are obtained after filing your audited accounts on or before the sixth month of any financial year and paying the tax liability if any. For example, audited accounts for year ended December 31, 2015 must be filed on or before June 30 2013. Applications filed after the stipulated period attracts penalty.

Kaffie2, take it from the scratch. I presumed your visa is 'virgin' and you have couple of refusals (hope no refusal stamp?) from US (they don't stamp ref. though). Yet you are approaching these 'first-class'countries? grin
Why not travel to Ghana, get SA, Kenya, Finland etc visas first before approaching the mighty four US, UK, CA and Aussie? You can even do China or Schengen from an embassy like Swiss or Finland

And how will the bolded be achieved without the required documents? Schengen visa is not a piece of cake, it would be easier to get on the strength of a UK visa.

Don't go near the US embassy. Your documents are inconsequential to them because fraud is rampant in Nigeria so they don't rely on local documents. US visa officers base their decisions more on applicants’ answers to their questions than on any documents you might present. During the visa interview, they consider professional, social, cultural and other factors each person presents. Fraud and wilful misrepresentation of material fact are serious immigration offences and if you get caught by the UK, it's a 10 years ban; then kiss goodbye if it's the US.

Do you work? If not, what do you do and how old are you?
