crisycent: Apparently, this is not your first time applying for a US visa. How did you schedule an appointment without entering your DS-160 Number? This can only be possible if you've already created and updated your profile. Perhaps you carelessly proceeded using the old DS-160 number you have in your profile without editing it to the current one which is only possible when you start a new application. Each time you start an application, a new DS-160 number will be generated to you, therefore the DS-160 number on the appointment confirmation must be the same with what you have on the application confirmation otherwise you'll not be admitted to the consulate/embassy for the interview. If you've already schedule an appointment using the old DS-160 number; it can only be edited by GCI. 1 Like |

crisycent: Are you the primary applicant? If yes; you'll have to add your dependent (daughter) when scheduling your appointment. Follow the instruction from where you'll see "Add by name" click and add your dependent. Both of you will be interviewed as family. |

amanonymous: "Turned back" as used by my brother doesn't mean visa rejection; it means, you won't be allowed into the consulate/embassy for your interview if your new DS-160 Number is different from what you have on your appointment confirmation letter. It's better you get scolded here, than waste precious time and still get "turned back" The key is : Adhere to instructions. Once a DS 160 has been submitted online, you cannot change/view it anymore. If you need to make corrections, you need to create a new one, but be sure your DS-160 number matches with what is used to schedule your visa appointment otherwise you'll be turned back to reschedule another appointment. |

jayoy: It only make sense if your hotel has kitchenette or you're staying in an apartment otherwise how do you explain to CBP where those food items will be prepared if such question arises? I just returned from a two weeks training. I travelled with grind melon, pepper, crayfish , ogbono, dried and smoked fish. I was very confident carrying the aforementioned food items because my hotel room was equipped with a standard kitchenette. 2 Likes 1 Share |

growth: You can't submit the form online. After filling the form, click on "print out" and ensure the barcode is very clear which is required for the visa officer to upload the form on his/her computer for the interview. |

mummyf: While filling the UK visa application form, you have to enter the complete details of what you plan to do during your stay in the UK. The US is different. If you're visiting one or more U.S states, just enter the locations you'll be visiting and not things you'll do in the U.S during your visit. At the interview, you have the opportunity to give a comprehensive details of your visit to the VO about what you'll do in the US if asked. If you're visiting Fla or NY for example; Location(s) you plan to visit in the U.S should be; Location (1) Ney York City Location (2) Orlando Location (3) Tampa Location (4) Palm beach |

yolemum: Are you travelling together? If yes, then the cost of accommodation for your Husband should be = N/A The print out of the Hotel reservation should be attached to his application and you have a chance of explaining this to the ECO. Therefore the total amount available for his trip (Husband) is £750 and not £1168 |

mkmyers45: There is no specific amount required. An acceptable bank statement must have up to three months transaction records demonstrating your income from a verifiable source and it must have enough fund to cover your trip, and also; it must have enough balance to keep you going after the trip. You must satisfy the visa officer that you have sufficient personal and economic circumstances in your home country. In making this assessment, the officer may consider your stated employment, length of employment and income. Most importantly the visa officer may wish to see your bank statement showing salary credits. If your bank statement does not show salary credits, this may cast doubt. Lufthansa and Turkish, but you might consider others. |

Good morning visa officer. Is it important for an applicant to bring two passport photo to the interview even after successfully uploading same passport on DS-160 form successfully? |
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 8:02am On Aug 08, 2016 |
My own Question. Please does an applicant still have to attend the interview with two passport photographs after successfully uploading same passport photograph on DS-160 form? |

Landmark445: Why not give the poster instruction how to go about it? All that is required is the print out confirmation of the flight reservation from the airline's website you've planned to use. It's free, so you don't have to charge anyone. 3 Likes 1 Share |
