Politics › The Enigma Called Nigeria: Are we going back or forward? Difficult to tell. by Frostyzone(op):
Standard of living seems to be growing harsher and harsher every year in Nigeria, and the infrastructures are slowly rusting away.

I remember in my earlier days, Tap water and electricity, though not perfect are basic things we take for granted. And that was in the 1990s. I used to think then that once we entered the new millennium, things will improve further and Nigeria will start catching up with their European and American counterparts in terms of Development.

What a pipe dream that has turn out tobe indeed! We are currently in the year 2013, and yet things are no better than it was in 1999. Infact, it's worse.

In many parts of this nation, there is nothing like Government own water supply facility anymore. Instead it has been replaced by privately owned bore holes rigs.

What is going on? What are the government of this once great nation doing to stop this free fall? Why are most states still relying on traffic wardens when traffic lights can do more efficient jobs? Why is uninterrupted electricity supply still an
issue in most part of Nigeria?, check that - in all parts of Nigeria? Too many questions but no conclusive answer.

Some governors are already making some promises to their citizens that before the year 2017, their will be some massive transformations in their respective states. But I remembered hearing some similar promises back in 2005 from the governor of my state then. The promises was that before 2012, the state will be running on solar energy and bad roads and power shortage will be things of the past.

For where? We are one year past the deadline of the promised paradise, and yet things are even worse than before.

At this rate, I'm afraid that in the year 2020, when according to Hollywood, cars would be air-borne, Nigeria may still be experiencing power shortage, bad roads and drought.

Just my thoughts...

Hausas are not the problem of this country. Rather it's the Kanuri and the Fulanis. Look at all the states that have indigenous fulani population, it's almost always total chaos. I'm not being tribalist, it's a mere statement of fact.

Do u know what it takes to bag an academic PhD?
Even a honourary PhD?
Do you know the level of achievement involved?
Typical ignorant African man mentality.

Wonders shall never end on nairaland shocked shocked shocked
You don't have to believe it.

5 words for you; Take it or leave it.

Apparently, you are too dumb to realize that it's completely possible.

ogugua88: You're stating the obvious. I never said cow milk is better than bosom milk. Never.

There's nothing blind in this debate. It was a simple question. It's not common knowledge that kids breastfed till age 6 years get PhDs before they're 21. It's news to me and many others I'm sure. You're the one who said "research", so why can't you provide the same research, apart from word of mouth? Just say a miracle happened or you know someone who is gifted.
I actually know three people that claimed that they stopped breastfeeding at ages of 5 and 6 respectively, and one of them was my botany professor and a year older then I was then, and I was 22.

The other two were PhD holders before they reach their 25th birthdays.

And ofcourse my kid brother who is a confirmed genius with 2 PhDs at the age of 21.

I know it's my word against yours because none of this people are well known, and as far as you are concern I might be making this up, but I assure you it's The God honest truth.
Food › Re: Shop Sells Human bosom Milk Ice-cream by Frostyzone(m): 6:50am On May 20, 2013
@ogugua88, I don't really have the time or energy to engage in blind argument with you.

Not everything is in Google. So obviously I cannot backup my claim, but it doesn't make it any less true either.

The fact still remains that breastmilk is way better than cow milk at any given period or time. Si fíní.

This Rev is a disgrace to Christianity and mankind in general. Such hypocrisy.

How I wished he was personally affected, then let's see if he will still sing the same tune.

ogugua88: Yes, we know. Bosom milk beats formula all day, every day.

Now, about children that stop breastfeeding at age six obtaining PhD's before they're 21, link please? grin
That's what's wrong with people nowadays. Always looking for proof, when the truth is right in front of you.

I don't need to give you any link to that because my kid brother is one of such individuals. I know it's true, many people knew it to be true, deep in your heart you know the truth. So what's the point?
Food › Re: Shop Sells Human bosom Milk Ice-cream by Frostyzone(m): 6:01am On May 20, 2013
Again, according to Research, People brought up with formulas are less intelligent than people brought up with breast milk. Infact, children that stop breastfeeding at age of 6 are more inclined to bag Phds before they turn 21.

ogugua88: Adult humans or infant humans?
Does it really matter? Taking breast milk as the daily milk source should be encouraged not criticized. There are far more benefits to it than the disbenefits.

We should stop viewing it as disgusting and learn to be open-minded. How is it anymore disgusting than drinking milk from cow, heh? Humans and Cows doesn't even belong to the same specie, so taking milk from them is disgusting as far as I'm concern.
Food › Re: Shop Sells Human bosom Milk Ice-cream by Frostyzone(m): 5:16am On May 20, 2013
According to Research, breast milk is best suited for Humans, instead of the more popular Cow milk. Apart from making you more intelligent, it strengthens your anti-bodies in ways that cow milk will never do.

That being said, I wouldn't mind trying one of those breast milk ice cream myself, so far as it's healthy and tasty. After all, it's completely natural and befitting.

Phones › Top 4 Youtube Downloading Apps for Android. by Frostyzone(op): 4:18pm On May 16, 2013
It has recently come to my attention that many Android Newbies doesn't know that you can download videos straight from YouTube. No more waiting for the video streams to complete it's bufferings, when you can simply download the whole thing to view at your own leisure.

There are not many free YouTube downloaders available on Android platform at the moment, but below are the top 4 of the free available ones you wouldn't mind checking out.

1. TubeMate
TubeMate is the number one available free YouTube downloader app for Android. You can easily browse and download video from YouTube using this app.

This app support android 1.6 and above. Some primary feature of this android app are bellow:

-Available resolutions: 320×240 to Full HD (Depends on Video).

-3gp, mp4, flv format available to download.

-You can convert downloaded video
into MP3.

-Background download option available and much more.

2. WonTube
WonTube is another great YouTube
downloader for android I have used. This app is pretty nice. All of the features are the same in comparison with TubeMate except for the video converting options, which is less complex.

3. Download WonTube
Another functional YouTube downloader for android. You can browse and download YouTube videos with this app.
Some primary feature of this app arebellow:

-Browse YouTube and download videos

-Download as mp3(ID3 tag supported)

-Background, multi-download

Support: 3GP(Low), MP4, HD, Full-
HD(high)/ 480×270: general devices

1280×720(HD): high-end devices

1920×1080(Full-HD): GalaxyTab, PC, etc

4. FREEdi YouTube Downloader
FREEdi YouTube downloader is from
MicroMacro Mobile Inc. It's also one
of the few available free YouTube
downloader for android platform but not the best.

Actually I really haven't tested this app because of the unavailability. It can only be found in Amazon. According to my research, most of it's users are not happy with it because of its annoying popup ads. But some people are telling me that its okay.

Maximum operating system of this apps
is Android 1.5. Some primary feature of this app are bellow:

-Download and save all your favorite YouTube videos

-Convert them into MP4/MP3/AAC
formats

-Can be upgraded to pro version for
more features.

teeo: Samsung has a name in the market, thats a fact that i wont deny but Tecno, HTC and Huawei phones are hitting them from both sides and this is affecting their market strength. What am saying some of these samsung phones are overprized and rated

http://inspiredmagz.com/huawei-edge-aluminum-is-in-competition-with-the-samsung-galaxy-s4/
Techno is doing nothing but undermining Android platform, which Samsung is the flag bearer together with HTC. Huawei in contrast is gradually becoming a genuine contender. The only Chinese brand together with Lenovo that I can vouch for.

okpara ugo: Is HTC not chinese huh Is Iphone not made in China huh Pls look at the back cover of an Iphone and Ipad, then get back to me.

Me too will like to own HTC or Iphone but they are all packaged in china just like my beloved TECNO...
Apple inc. is an American company that produces iPhone and Macintosh computers, that sometimes out sourced their products to China for profit reasons. If you buy made in China iPhone, then be prepared to buy another one in 2 years time, because that is the amount of time it will take to expire.

The real iPhone is made in U.S.A.

HTC is Taiwanese with similar arrangement with China.

teeo: Are you saying that because South Korea managed to produce the samsung galaxy then all chinese mobile products ranging from the Haier, Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE, Tecno ..... are now less durable. huh Just so you know Huawei phones are the next best smart phones in world. Pls google it, lets try as much as possible to appreciate good products when we see them.
I'm not going to deny that Huawei devices are really good, but to say they are world class is over-stating it.

If they are so good as you are making them out to be, then why are they not competing with Samsung in smart phone market like Taiwan's HTC is doing, heh?

teeo: OOO jezz, i guess you didnt understand the sarcasim in the post. Now your saying all Samsung phones made in Asia are substandard, smh for your level of exposure huh undecided undecided
This guy self...

Asia is a continent, and China is a single nation located geographically inside that continent.

There are 3 top notch countries that produce high end products in Asia and China is not one of them.

teeo: Okay you now agree that the tecno is up to the task grin grin

Running many apps works well if u increase your ram space wink wink. 5 working apps at the sametime is ok for me and my unrooted N7 does that without issues. Guess what am enjoying my Contract Killer and downloading Iron Man3
The fact remains that Techno either rooted or uprooted, whichever model cannot run more than 6 apps simultaneously because it simply doesn't have the RAM.

And try running Dead Space on your Techno 7, you will discover the sad truth then; which is techno doesn't have what it takes to be a genuine android device.
Phones › Re: BlackBerry Q5 For Emerging Markets Announced by Frostyzone(m):
teeo: Exactly our point, we pay less for a tecno that does a whole lot of work. I dont know why you want to pay much for less work... cool cool. Am as wise as an american cheesy cheesy
When I said less pay, more work, I meant the workers not the products.

The Chinese people work with less money than their European counterparts.

As for the products it's only natural it wouldn't be in the same level as the ones packaged in Europe or America. In other words, it would be slightly inferior.
Phones › Re: BlackBerry Q5 For Emerging Markets Announced by Frostyzone(m): 4:23pm On May 15, 2013

Okay...try running 10 apps simultaneously.

bigiyaro: see mumu, do you think Google will approve their Os to the used on a crappy device? Don't be a brand slave. All phones and 80 0/0 of all digital devices are made in China. Moreover if tn3 or tn7 were to be a Samsung or HTC products., it would have been at least 40k upward. So free your mind. Tecno is equal to the task.
Let me educate you.

The season why Most of Americans and Europeans Parent products are sourced in China is because of the cheap labour. Less pay, more work.
Phones › Re: BlackBerry Q5 For Emerging Markets Announced by Frostyzone(m): 4:18pm On May 15, 2013
apocalypse: okay I don't get your point , are you angry Tecno does what your otherwise overpriced Galaxy Note does ?
That's just the thing. It doesn't! It couldn't even run a simple HD Fifa 13 without lagging throughout the sequence.

Techno users should stop deceiving themselves by calling themselves Android users because what they are using is a low-end by product.
Phones › Re: BlackBerry Q5 For Emerging Markets Announced by Frostyzone(m): 4:13pm On May 15, 2013
apocalypse: Yeah who says you are "quite" about your phone , it's in bold and you mentioned the make for no reason
What are you on about??

About the quite typo, it's what it was - a minor mispelling on my part, which I have since rectified.
