Nairaland General › Liechtenstein and Haiti used to have the exact same flag by Frostyzone(op):
A country’s flag is a symbol of pride and unity. It is waved proudly at special events and shown special respect. It makes sense then that a flag should be unique and easily identifiable.

However, countries also often try to keep their flag designs simple, and this can lead to problems. This was the case with Liechtenstein and Haiti. Both countries had a flag that consisted of a horizontal blue stripe on top of a horizontal red stripe. Pretty straightforward.

They didn’t realize this until they competed against each other in the 1936 Summer Olympics. Awkward.

In order to remedy the problem Liechtenstein added a gold ducal crown on the hoist side of the blue stripe on their flag. Now they won’t be mistaken for Haiti.
Lol!

Do you realise how ludicrous you sounded in your post? The only reason you are using Techno brand right now is because you couldn't afford Samsung, and judging from the ignominy of your post, you are kinda consoling yourself for missing out.

I almost feel sorry for you.

lakefist: am presently using tecno n3 and so fat i have not seen any samsung galaxy watever to convince me otherwise.tecno Android phone has good battery life and their their 3G support is fantastic.....
tecno n7 has better spec than n3 i intend upgrading soonest...
Bro i will confidently tell you to go for n7 cos am a phone freak and have used both phones....samsung cant beat tecno for any reason.
Fella, I have nothing against Techno, but let's not forget that it's a low end android brand. In other words it's for people that couldn't afford high end brands like Samsung and HTC.

So saying such ignorant things like saying that it's actually better than Samsung is ridiculous. It's a good brand by it's standards, but comparing it to an higher spec brands like Samsung is sheer ignorance and foolishness.

#Justsayin.
Phones › Re: Techno N7 Vs Used Samsung Galaxy S2 by Frostyzone(m): 6:35pm On Jun 28, 2013
Man, this is foolishness. How can you be comparing an established high end brand with a low end brand. Dude, do yourself a favour and get the SG2. Believe me, it's way better than any brand that Techno can throw at it. I'm not talking about the colour resolution superiority but also the performance. 1gb ram is better then 512 ram any day, pal. Since you are a game freak, SG2 will serve you better cos with 1gb ram, it can run practically all hd android games you can throw at it without lagging...unlike the low end Techno N7.
Christianity Etc › Re: Image Worship Is An Abomination To God!!! by Frostyzone(m): 6:12pm On Jun 28, 2013
italo: @frostyzone,

Can you tell us how and when the Catholic Church started well and how and when it got corrupted?
Probably when Roman catholic church came into existence. As for when it started to stagnate, like I mentioned in my earlier post it was during the renaissance period, when their Pope is regarded as god and even kings fear them.
Christianity Etc › Re: Image Worship Is An Abomination To God!!! by Frostyzone(m): 4:54pm On Jun 28, 2013
Responding to the title of the thread, I would start by saying this: Put a man in charge of a very old institute, and with time the institute will become seriously flawed.

Such is the case with Catholic church nowadays that views the worshipping of images, statues, and medals as acceptable. When confronted with that knowledge, they never fail to play the honoring card.

Even so, assuming they are really honouring all those images, does the Bible condone it? I don't think so.

Another dubious tradition and practise employed actively by the same institution is the worshipping of saints, or rather people they call saints. People they really don't know that are actually in heaven or ravishing in hell fire.

Roman catholic may have started off as a pinnacle of hope and light, but somewhere in the renaissance era, it gradually adopted a very different me-against-the-world authoritarian-type personality, and now is nothing like what an ideal religious institution is supposed to be.

Roman catholic of today is more of tradition keeping than the actual worshiping of God.

So this Nigerian government still employs the same method they started with 50 years ago, heh? While the Modern world is evolving and modernizing their methods of execution(United States uses lethal injection that is very painless and clean while at the same thing seems very humane), Nigeria meanwhile still practices the form use by dictators and communist government and the likes. Hmmn.

Sometimes, the archaic way of thinking in evidence by the group of people that are supposed to be running this entity called Nigeria is very staggering and embarrassing.

abrazar: i want to know if it works only on hacked consoles.
Nope. It's not exclusive to hacked consoles or whatever. Infact, I'm pretty sure it's only exclusive for P.C gamers, because most of the steps to the installation can only be carried out on pc. Cheers.
Gaming › Updating Your Fifa 13 by Frostyzone(op): 12:04pm On Jun 23, 2013
Fifa 13 can be updated with new features like the confederations cup, Uefa Champions league licensed Tournament, Europa league licensed Tournament, current up-to-date Transfers and new looks, Nou Camp stadium, Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Cameroon fully licensed national teams and so much more.

All you have to do is download Moddingway patch 1.8.0 and 1.8.2 and you are good to go.

Follow the installation manual that comes with the files to the letter.

After successful installation, your FIFA 13 will have a new look, depending on the wallpaper you chosed for it. - Oh didn't I mention it before? The patch also comes with Wallpaper background ranging from the default background to Uefa Champions League and English Premier league.

You can thank me later...Cheers!

Jokes Etc › Euroenglish. by Frostyzone(op): 3:34pm On Jun 19, 2013
The European Union commissioners have announced that agreement has been reached to adopt English as the preferred language for European communications, rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five year phased plan for what will be known as EuroEnglish (Euro for
short). In the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c". Sertainly, sivil servants will reseive this news with joy. Also, the hard "c" will be replaced with "k". Not only will this klear up konfusion, but typewriters kan have one less letter.

There will be growing public enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replased by "f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20 persent shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expected to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of silent "e"s in the language is disgrasful, and they would go.

By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" by "z" and. "w" by "v". During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "0" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou", and similar changes vud, of kors, be aplid
to ozer kombinations of leters.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German lik zey vunted in ze

Jokes Etc › Church Signs by Frostyzone(op):
"No God -- No Peace. Know God -- Know Peace."

"Free Trip to heaven. Details Inside!"

"Try our Sundays. They are better than Mr Biggs."

"Searching for a new look? Have your faith lifted here!"

When the restaurant next to the Catholic Church put out a big sign with red letters that said, "Open Sundays," the church reciprocated with its own message: "We are open on Sundays, too."

"Have trouble sleeping? We have sermons -- come hear one!"

A singing group called "The Resurrection" was scheduled to sing at a church. When a big snowstorm postponed the performance, the pastor fixed the outside sign to read, "The Resurrection is postponed."

"People are like tea bags -- you have to put them in hot water before you know how strong they are."

"God so loved the world that He did not send a committee."

"Come in and pray today. Beat the Christmas rush!"

"Fight truth decay -- study the Bible daily."

"How will you spend eternity -- Smoking or Non-smoking?"

"Dusty Bibles lead to Dirty Lives":

"Come work for the Lord. The work is hard, the hours are long and the pay is low. But the retirement benefits are out of this world."

"It is unlikely there'll be a reduction in the wages of sin."

"Do not wait for the hearse to take you
to church."

"If you're headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns."

"If you don't like the way you were born try being born again."

"Looking at the way some people live, they ought to obtain eternal fire insurance soon."

"Forbidden fruit creates many traffic jams."

"In the dark? Follow the Son."

"Running low on faith? Stop in for a fill-up."

- In Lebanon, men are legally allowed to have sex with animals, but the animals
must be female. Having sexual relations
with a male animal is punishable by death. (Like THAT makes sense.)

- In Bahrain, a male doctor may legally
examine a woman's genitals, but is prohibited from looking directly at them
during the examination. He may only see
their reflection in a mirror. (Do they look different reversed?). Muslims are banned from looking at the genitals of a corpse. This also applies to undertakers. The sex organs of the deceased must be covered with a brick or piece of wood at all times. (A brick??)

- The penalty for masturbation in Indonesia is decapitation. (Much worse than "going blind!"wink

- There are men in Guam whose full-time
job is to travel the countryside and deflower young virgins, who pay them for the privilege of having sex for the first time .. Reason: under Guam law, it is expressly forbidden for virgins to marry. (Let's just think for a minute; is there any job anywhere else in the world that even comes close to this?)

- In Hong Kong, a betrayed wife is legally allowed to kill her adulterous husband, but may only do so with her bare hands. The husband's lover, on the other hand, may be killed in any manner desired. (Ah! Justice!)

- Topless saleswomen are legal in Liverpool, England - but only in tropical fish stores. (But of course!)

- In Cali, Colombia, a woman may only have sex with her husband, and the first
time this happens, her mother must be in the room to witness the act. (Makes one
shudder at the thought.)

- In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, it is illegal for a man to have sex with a woman and her daughter at the same time. (I presume
this was a big enough problem that they had to pass this law?).

- In Maryland, it is illegal to sell condoms from vending machines with one exception: Prophylactics may be dispensed from a vending machine only "in places where alcoholic beverages are sold for consumption on the premises." (Is this a great country or what? Not as great as Guam!)

- Banging your head against a wall uses
150 calories an hour. (Who volunteers
for this stuff?)

- Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure. (Is that why Flipper was always smiling?).

- The ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weight and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated. (From drinking little bottles of...?) (Did the govt. pay for this research??).

- Butterflies taste with their feet. (Ah, geez.)

- An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.
(I know some people like that.)

- Starfish don't have brains. (I know some people like that, too.) And, the best for last.....

- Turtles can breathe through their butts.
(Do you think they have bad breath?)

This is crazy.

What does Nigeria and SA have in commonhuh

US, Britain, Australia?

Russia, North Korea and those 11 countries
?

Statistics!!! tongue
I'm not here to engage in a blind argument with you. If you take a closer look at the map you brought up, you will notice that more than three-quater of the Islamic government and communist government are painted in red, to mark unstable areas. Those ones that are painted in red but with none of those governments in control are usually third world countries.

Then take another look at the map and look at the areas in blue and yellow. Those are the west which are predominantly Christian, atheist and with democratic system of government.

That's the difference.
