Hi, had to go and dig out previous post I made on chin chin


(For the chin-chin I used-
3.5 cups of flour
1/2 cup of sugar
5 table spoon of milk ( I used powdered, if you are using liquid, watch the water you add later)
2 eggs( you can use 1, I wanted it very rich)
50 grams of butter/margarine. ( I used about 40, didn't want it too soft)
I teaspoon of baking powder,
0.5 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla flavour
Some grated nutmeg
A pinch of cinnamon ( very optional)
Method
Seive the flour, salt & baking powder into a bowl
Add your sugar, powdered milk, nut Meg and cinnamon. ( Basically mix all the dry ingredients together with your hands)
Now knead in the butter into the dry ingredients til it's properly integrated. Texture will change.
When butter is fully integrated to the dry ingredients, add in your whisked egg and vanilla flour and knead properly together.
At this point, depending on the type of milk you are using, since I used powdered, I add to add a few drops of water to properly knead the dough with my hands integrating all the ingredients.
Until it doesn't stick to my hands and the bowl and forms a nice smooth ball

Transfer to a work surface and roll out in batches with a rolling pin.( I used a bottle tongue)
Then cut with a knife into desired sizes and fry in hot( not too hot) oil. Till it's golden brown

Don't let it brown too much o, cos it will still brown when it gets down.

For this particular chin-chin I used 6cups of flour.

I don't know how to make egg roll cos it's not a snack I would normally have. Check YouTube's for some videos. Though I think here in NL, someone like Omoge, if I am not mistaken has posted something similar.

Sorry Mama. Have you considered the food you are giving baby? Maybe there is a particular ingredient that keeps triggering it and won't let all the drugs work?.

Definitely, you can use regular oats.

The basic preparation method is to heat up a small quantity of water in a pot or pan, allow it boil, then add in the oats, stir and allow to cook for like 3mins. Continue stirring at intervals to prevent it from burning. If your lo isn't so used to chewing, you can blend oats to powder first.

You can serve with fruits and yogurt, peanut butter, add a spoon of soyabeans powder to take it up a notch.

Sorry it's coming late. After our nine months immunizations the nurse there wrote that next one is at 18months but I asked around and was told that there 12 months and 15months. We will go for that 12 months today even though we are almost 13 months. I understand that the 12 months is Vitamin A. At there today I will ask a

gain about the 15 months immunizations because it's in different states.

After our 12months own, I was scheduled for a 15months and told it's measles2 but I didn't see it in the booklet given for that age. Iya Beji, it has been said here severally that skineal isn't good for baby's skin. Just use the Shea butter alone, coconut oil alone or mix both but pls, no skineal. kisses to the twins.

Other mamas will still add to this.......make sure baby is properly covered up, let the room be warm and not cold, keep all fans off, bath baby with warm water, use metholatum to rub baby's chest, ribs and forehead. For the silverbird, put a little drop on her pillow and sleeping area pls don't let it touch baby's skin. you both will be alright.

Thanks mamas. I took him to the hospital today, after test nothing was found, the paed said its probably the flu, that I should give warm water and make sure he is hydrated and I should always keep him warm. He even refused to cough throughout today sef.....I now looked like a liar....funny baby.

Good evening mamas. pls, DS has this strong cough and cattarh and its been over a week now.....since I can't give cough syrup, I have tried keep him warm, steam inhalation, silverbird and metholatum but its still there. The cough is so strong that he vibrates when coughing..... I need help on what to do. He is 7months plus. Thank you.
