The question you asked us genuine. But the problem is that the secession was not Igbo secession alone as you erroneously assume but secession of the Eastern region. The Eastern region like every other region created by the colonial govt consisted of minority groups. These minority groups consistently complained of marginalisation. In fact, the Western region was later broken up by plebiscite and the Edos and Deltas voted against remaining part of the region. I'm sure we all know that the West is easily the most liberal region.
So Biafra secession was primarily a secession of the Eastern region and not just the Igbo tribe. That the Igbo are the dominant tribe of the region does not mean they were looking to secede alone and leave their fellow Easterners

The security issues in the North is a major concern to me because it's affecting my business. I have cancelled a business contract in Kebbi because of security. I have stopped moving goods to Kotangora in Niger state because of insecurity, I am at the verge of cancelling another contract in Gombe because of insecurity. Once I tell my potential client that I can only move by air, there is 50% chance that the job will be cancelled.

Due to the nature of my business, I have been nursing the idea of having a second residence in Jos but any time I consider how often I will be on the road to Jos, fear grips me and i jettison the idea. A colleague in Calabar, rented a warehouse in Kano, she has never sent goods to the warehouse because of the increased risk of travelling to Kano by road for routine check on the business. In few months, the rent will expire and that outlet will become a thing of the past.

Now, you see why I am concerned about the security in the North and Nigeria at large. There is no place in the East and South I cannot travel to, both in the day and night by road.

My concern has nothing to do with whether I am grateful to the current government or not. I am only encouraging the security outfits to do more to restore the confidence of Nigerians, most especially those in the southern part of the country when it comes to travelling to the North either for business or leisure.
