He also forged President Muhammadu Buhari's signature and claimed that Buhari was about to make him the chief of army staff. He used the forged signature to con people out of hundreds of millions of naira. It was this that made the EFCC to arrest him.

I have just discovered that his name is actually Hassan Karim Ayinde.

Anyway, he was sentenced to 7 years in jail.

There must be a medical term for such brazen fraudulent behaviour .

This Adeyemi guy did not work alone.

To get to the root of all this, the civil servants attached to the dormant Buhari era Presidential Economic Advisory Council must be investigated.

What happened to them?

Were they relieved of their appointment , retired or resigned from it?

These are the people that knew how the dormant Presidential Economic Advisory Council under Buhari operated and knew it was technically still in effect.

They are the only ones who had the knowledge and know-how in budget preparation and intra governmental communication.

They also came with a wealth of contacts and networks to set Adeyemi up to convene high level meetings within diplomatic circles.

Before Kanu's appeal will be heard by the Appellate court it will take at least another 4 to 5ys.

Criminal appeals are based on first come, first serve and no case is prioritised above another.

And since there are tonnes of appeal pending, it will take at least another 5ys before his case is called for review.


And just forget any talk of Presidential Pardon or clemency for the fact that any convict who has a pending appeal before the criminal justice system can not be considered by the Presidential Pardon and Clemency board until he or she has exhausted all legal struggles. See : Mariam Sanda as a prime example whose pardon was rescinded after it came to the notice of the President that she had a pending Supreme court ruling awaiting. It was only after the Supreme court had finally upheld her conviction that the President then commutted her sentence from death to a jail terms which will see her free in 2031

I recall way back when I started my first job that was in another state far away from my home state and was only provided with accomodation by my employer.

They gave me a two bedroom flat but there was nothing like furniture inside and so I had to use my savings to buy curtains, a standing fan , a rug and a mattress and used the remaining to buy kitchen stuff and was left with little to buy provisions , toiletries and food stuff that will take me till the end of the month.

I had to trek about 2 to 3km to my work place which wasn't a big deal but this was rainy season and boy did it rain that year in that state. I will always get to work soaked from head to my socks and that's when the breakfast I just had will varnish from my stomach due to the cold from the tiny AC window unit that will chill my tiny portakabin office. .

Hunger go wire me but I will just brush it up till I close by 6pm and trek another 2km back to my company flat to warm my stew and boil rice to eat.

Ii was doing this for the whole month that I got used to it and was just waiting for my employer to pay me my salary and relocation cost .

But lo and behold , when salary dropped I did not get anything. Back then you will go and collect a crossed cheque from the accounts office and then deposit in your bank . And this will take at least 3 to 5 working days to drop in your bank account which you will have to go to the bank to join the endless queue to withdraw your money.

I had already prepared my mind that I still had 5 days to get paid plus my posting allowance but when the accountant said , he had not got clearance to pay me my salary and that should wait till the manager returned from another job site out of state my heart sank.

I tried calling the manager but remember calls were expensive to make back then and so I opted to wait till he comes back so as to reserve what was left on my airtime to use as emergency call to my parents and siblings.

Then it dawned on me that my food reserves back home had reached sapa levels and I didn't even have basic hygiene provisions like soap and detergents.

Now there was no one I could ask for money from other staff because I worked alone in my portakabin and I couldn't bring myself to do such because that's not how I was trained.

So nah so I go back house that Friday night to an empty pot and to make matters worse NEPA cut the light when I was at work. The company had not paid the NEPA bill for over 2ys and had only been servicing it by the bit. I then understood then why no other staff wanted to stay in this company house that had 6flats plus boysquaters .

The worst thing was not being dead broke but knowing you had no other means of getting money.

I stayed hungry that night and throughout the next day so I can ration what was left of my meagre food supply.

The weekend was the longest I have ever experienced in my life. No light . No money . Just indoors reading a collection of national geographic I had bought a week earlier at a second hand book store.

By Sunday night I prepared food that I will eat for Monday morning and when I get back. But I was so hungry I ate the supper ration for Monday night and told myself that I will have to ask the accountant to grant me cash advance .

By Monday I trekked to the site after eating my last meal and went straight to the accountant office only to be told by his secretary that he wasn't around and might not be coming to the office that day. My heart sank. She looked at me and said is there anything wrong and that's when I told her I was hoping to get cash advance that I was not paid alongside others. She said that the company does not grant cash advance and that she would have helped me with some cash but that her cash had not cleared. I got more hungrier even though I just chop but the thought of not having to know where your next meal will come from is draining. I just thank God that I wasn't the one who asked her but that she was the one who proposed to loan me money.

I went back to my portakabin and tried to work but my brain could not concentrate. Later on a cleaner came and told me that the accountant said I should come to his office that he heard I was asking for him. I rushed there thinking the secretary would have briefed him before hand on why I came and so maybe he will consider giving me the cash advance or loaning me money. But instead I got a lecture from him that the company does not give cash advance and ranted away the reason for such. After he finished , I thanked him and left and as I was going back I was asking myself why this short devil of a man had to call me to tell me what his secretary had already told me. Hunger turned to anger and I just went back to finish what I was supposed to do for the day and when finding out that there won't be any inventory to be taken that day, decided to call it quits.

My head just dey spin with rage as per why I even took this yeye job offer in the first place and was not even paying attention to anything or anyone as I trekked back to my empty flat until a hand rushed to grab me and shouted "ol boy you no dey hear again. This one you just dey use vex waka , wetin happen". It was my maternal uncle and youngest sibling to my mother who we as children all loved . This my uncle had come to town on Friday to attend a burial ceremony and had tried to reach me but because of no light my phone had died and no way of charging it. My mum then asked him to check on me at my work place as I had given her the office address and all and he was driving into the office site with his friend as I walked out and was calling my attention but when I didn't answer he had to come down and run after me to get my attention.

Now this my uncle was working for an oil company in Warri and was in all measures and indices a big boy.

Nah so anger leave my body and I hug an only for hunger to come back since I know that as I don't jam am pepper go rest that day going forward.

In short , I follow my uncle to their oil company guest house and he arranged a lodge for me to stay there till when they fix my light and pay me my salary. He dropped better wad for me and ensured that I get breakfast and dinner from the guest lodge kitchen since I can't cook in their rooms.

Moral of the story is that we all don sapa . What sets us aside is our character to keep our dignity up and navigate those sapa days without resorting to something stupid and desperate.

He will still go and twerk for those inside .

So clamping his car by private car park managers at one of FAAN managed airports for wrongful parking is now persecution on Obi by the Federal govt.
