Only one qualification is ascribed the title of a nurse and that is RN every others including LPN, CNA are termed assistants which is 18-1 years and 6 weeks course respectively. RN is a 4 year degree as the associate degree is being phased out RN takes NCLEX-RN while LPN takes nclex -pn exam.
