we are all Nigerians here so why can't we criticize things when we see a problem?
The nigerian public school system is horrible depending on your experience. But to me, majority of students don't get quality education.

many of the "successful" people mentioned here went to private or religious schools. Or they went to federal schools. Many got part of their education abroad. etc. That's what kobojunkie is trying to point out. Or they were exceptional students in their schools.

now if we talk about some of the typical public schools in lagos for example:
ayetoro
Eva Adelaja
Gbagada
Ijeshatedo
Itire community
Obele community
Omole
. . .and many more.

etc . Now you don't want to wish these secondary schools on your kids or grandkids. lol
What exactly are you talking about?

Do you really think that the majority of US public actually admire Michelle Obama? Outside the black population, polished and smart as Michelle is, she is just  another black  monkey. I'd rather Patience Jonathan speak fluent Okrika. I'd rather have a nationalistic and patriotic president who cannot speak a word in english language but has the passion and drive to lead and break the mental bondage that we have put ourselves in,  the need to blend and conform. No matter how good your english is,  you will never be one of them, so why the pretense? And some of the smartest scientists and politicians in the world did not speak flawless english e.g Albert Eistein,  The Iranians, the Russians, the Israelis do not have to speak english before they blaze the trail in both technological and political grounds.
Dont mind these yeye people

EVen our Soyinka doesnt speak fluent English, how much more GEJ

Onlytruth:
Let me leave for now by saying the following to help educate my Igbo brothers about Yoruba mindset which should help us in the future if necessary.

Lesson 1:

In a conflict, Yoruba lack conscience, and they can do ANYTHING to win over the Igbo.  So bear that in mind. If you tell a Yoruba to sleep with his mother as part of a "juju ritual" that will give him victory over the Igbo, he would do it. Igbo would not, even if he would lose the war because of it. MAJOR difference. So, never forget that.

Lesson 2:

Yoruba, though weak and cowardly, can stay a course of action for a long time. If you doubt me, look at Akintola Williams accounting firm and find out how long it has been there. Same with Rotimi Williams law firm. Igbo are more of the "100 meter dash" type, so we need to bear that in mind. We will likely gain the upper hand over them fast in a war, but we need to sustain it over a long time.

There are MANY more lessons about them which I can NEVER discuss here.
Bye for now.

Signing off,

Onlytruth.  cool cool cool
I agree

It is natural for the smart ones to marginalize the dumb ones. Like in America, where Whites marginalize blacks. Exactly, the same thing in Nigeria.

It takes gots and smartness to pull what that guy did. A dullard can't do yahoo yahoo talkless of HOLOC. If you had read the original post you will notice how FBI discribed him, are you guys telling me that FBI exagerated his prowess? Even at the point of arrest he "melted into the night". Conned the telecom oparetor to give out info about him and the FBI agent that is on his phone. This the kinda stuff you see in Hollywood Movies. Diff voice(Young,Middle aged and Old). Just like Frank Jr(Pilot, Doctor, etc). When caught he will serve but he will be useful to FB after hiz sentence.

Its in their blood anyway.
