To be honest it bothers me  that GEJ is president, because I don't think he is qualified to run a country, especially one in Nigeria's state. But I also think this crusade against his wife because of this particular speech is unwarranted. There are many legitimate reasons to object to the Goodluck's being in charge. I don't think this is one of them. I think this is just very petty, at best.
all these people you are arguing with arent there intellectually

You would make more sense to them if you were taking about something flimsy like romance and love!

O.k.

Name the things that are so special about being a Nigerian?
We ve got brains! grin

For starters, the highest scoring blacks on SAT are all Nigerians.

And there are more of us in your American colleges that you all even though we only make up 1/33 of US blacks

Fewer of us in Jail too

Better character than US blacks

More healthy than US blacks

Should I continue?

I for sure did not envy the mofo that broke into my mother's car a month after she bought it.

I wish I could have been there myself to send him to early grave.

Funny enough, it only took $5 to create the Jordans, and Nike gets all of the profit. Must be nice running that company, knowing that you will always be making money off of gullible AAs.

You should see the lines at footlocker for the latest Jordans.  grin grin grin

Just thinking about it makes me want to invest in Nike.

They really need to get their priorities straight. At least a Nigeria will invest his money in other business ventures.
Why do that?

Just set up a tax company in any of the black neighborhoods

These people are so stupidd, they cant prepare their tax themselves. You'd rip the off and they wouldnt know.

Or a Beer store, they'd drink themselves to stupor without blinking

Why do you think Indians set up their stores in Black neighborhoods?

It is not always compulsory to argue you know . What is car insurance for ? Ever heard of fully comprehensive cover ? Third Party , fire and theft ? No law enforcement officer , not even the most insane, will advise the victim of a carjacking to fight back thus endangering their life . Insurance can provide the victim of a carjacking with a new car. If a man is killed resisting a carjacking who will give him his life back?
I understand your point to be a gentle man and all that.

I dont care what the cops say. i have my pride, you know.

So would you allow someone to come into your house and rape your wife too?

Like I said,it is safe to play it cool and let the carjacker have his way, like some pastors tell their congregation whenever  they are about to swindle them.
But for me, you are not taking my property without a fight. If I have to die defending my property, so be it.

We do not have the details

He might have stolen those at night, broke into them, proly rob the owners at gun point.

And, if the owners were white, they wouldnt fight back, especially if they were seniors.

and no, akeem doesnt seem to have fought at all, come to think of it. They'd already drawn up a bill of sale with the attacker's name on it.
No, fighting back is the right thing to do

he worked hard for his machine and no one, no matter how big, should be able to steal it from him easily.

the viciousness of the attack warrants investigation.
What do you mean?

People kill each other for 5 dollar crack, whatz the big deal about the viciousness of the attack?

He broke his neck so as to subdue him

He wanted to kill him so he wont report him to the cops.

Tell me, how is she supposed to cope if she doesnt sleep around. Its people like that that you target.

As a matter of fact, they will present themselves to you, no wahala.

May God keep me alive till then.

PS: Well that girl's score was bumped up into the 220s after his father allegedly bribed some JAMB officials with 80000 naira, I heard.

Well Nigeria needs professors and some of us have to do it. Been to Unilag and UI and I feel really depressed because less and less of the lecturers even have PhDs. Moreover can you imagine how much I will be collecting for selling hand-outs? I have already started typing up my own handouts. And the hot girls I would get to sleep with so that they can pass? And the free housing I get?

Man u are underestimating the benefits of a Nigerian Professor

I will get laid consistently, have a steady, and undisturbed flow of cash, and have free housing too.

See  if an MBB firm can match that.

Come on- all the Chem Eng Departments that have Biological and Biomolecular attached to their names.

All the BioMEMs and Systems Biology Research going on in Mech Eng

Bio Bio Bio. Engineering is a dead field especially chemical engineering.

You could go into strategy consulting? Lots of Physicist are recruited by Mckinsey, Bain, BCG and Booz and to a lesser extent Deloitte and Accenture.

Yeah there are not that many blacks in physics. You might have a shot though it is claimed that no affirmative action goes on in graduate school, but I kind of got letters from HYPSM claiming that I was one of the best candidates to their program (I am no fool, I kind of interpreted it as you are black, you are decently smart, and you have good test scores, voulez vous couchez avec nous?). A lot of the professors were also calling me and being really nice to me, offering to fly me in and pay for my hotels e.t.c just to see teh school. I knew all this special attention came from somewhere

So you might have a shot at the best. All I know is that get into a top 30 physics school is like a top ten in chemistry and top 5 in biology.

Try and get a 990 in the GRE physics and you are set  grin grin grin
Who are you BTW

Stop phuccing ridiculing Biology ( looks around for Oga Katsumoto). Someone needs to talk sense into your head!

@ SEFAGO thanks for the advice, and biophysics is hot right now, good choice.

@ ekubear

I do love the subject. I might settle for research at a company (fortunately, there are companies that take physics Ph.D's for research) after grad school if I run into a lot of traction, so I do have a kind of back up plan (and then another backup plan after that, but I won't go into it here).
Finance, like we dont already know that most Physicists are on Wall Street grin

Either ways, goodluck.

I thought university of Utah was good for medicine? I always considered them very good fo medicine, infact they have a famous hospital. Or is it Brigham Young? You know I was premed, before I decided that medicine was not for me. What was he anyways- a doctor or a biochemist. All the nobels go to biochemists nowadays in chemistry or medicine. Interested to know.
I think you are talking of Brigham Young.

You are actually more versatile than I think. Good job kiddo.

Yeah, i think the guy was a biochemist, cant even remember what he did, but everyone was shocked that the Nobel prize went to someone at Utah. It is a testament to the strength of the US system, IMO. Like someone once said, cant remember who, they may suck at the HS level, but at the top level, they have no equal.

True, the biochemists and chemists are really doing well now. It seems we are long far away from the days of Watson and Crick and the PCR guy.
