naijaking1: Just stick to politics, don't expose your ignorance to the world. Her media handlers wouldn't know about malignacy until pathology comes back, usually 2-3 weeks after surgery. The signs and symptoms usually fool inexperienced surgeons, because the presentations are mostly similar. Don't forget that my comment was in reference to the fact that she went for "minor operation" Well, there's nothing like a minor operation.
We can argue surgery in the medical section if you like, but right now, can we focus on the bad Nigerian healthcare system: causes, presentations, and remedy That is a well known cliche. That said, Appendicitis is a clinical diagnosis, nothing more, nothing less. Stop making stupidd excuses for this wanton waste of public money. |
Politics › Re: Minister Flown Abroad For Surgery by fstranger3(m): 6:24pm On Apr 09, 2011 |
Pennywise: Then appendicitis becomes a mere complication not the problem. We havent heard any of her media handlers say she has a malignancy remotely associated to the list you so eloquently made out At the very least, an Ex-lap would have been enough. This is stupiddd through and through |

however, he never stopped to ask himself if the actual facts on ground show him as possessing a superior intellect. The guy bested you on the other thread. Let it go already. EzeUche: I could not have said that better myself. The young man walks around thinking he has a superior intellect, because he can copy and paste sources on the internet better than most, but that does not show his true intelligence. Thank you for shedding light on his behavior.
I can see that I am not the only one who has noticed that from his post. Obviously, he has no rival on NL, at least, you, Ezeuche, arent any where close to him. As a matter of fact, you are not fit to iron his shirt. BTW, I dont see him walking around like he has superior intellect. And if you think he has superior intellect, it is because he oozes superior intellect, not because he talks about it. He obviously doesnt go around acting like he knows everything. he argues with fact and sense, and any one can do that. He is not a loud mouth like you Ibos. He wasnt the one who boasted about attending an Ivy League neither did he boast about his group being superior to others. |

@Tpiah: I want to assume you are not using those NY Times article to further your biased POV? Below is the conclusion from the article @Nekai posted: Finally, the perception that women face a stark choice between career and marriage is incorrect. Young women no longer need to feel pressure to limit investments in their careers in order to enhance their opportunities in terms of marriage, and perhaps motherhood. It is just a perception, nothing more, nothing less. Furthermore they said Still, the issue of the relationship between marriage and career is extremely complicated, and further work remains on the agenda. One caveat regarding causality must be considered in evaluating these results. The changing relationship between education and marriage may reflect a shift in the relationship between unobservables associated with marriage and education. For instance, as the later cohort of women included more women with higher education, they may be less selective with respect to the preferences and/or endowments which would generate lower likelihood of marriage. This would tend to lead to a more positive relationship between education and marriage in the later years, and suggest that the perceived “success penalty” in the early years was a choice, not the result of education per se. Also, education may respond to marriage itself – with women in the later cohorts being more likely to remain in school while married. The latter issue can be addressed with a panel data set which tracks the marital and education histories of respondents. And if you understand the above and read between the lines you'd agree with me that education has no effect on whether or when a woman would get married, simply stated: there is no relationship, either direct or otherwise, between education and marital status in women. This is a research paper. Although, it is ridden with methodological lapses, it is nevertheless better than a news article from a discredited media outlet. Anyhow, there is no direct causality between education and single-hood as there are a lot of confounding factors that come into play. |

the brothers would rather go for a lower educated non-black than otherwise.
all that stuff about angry black woman, etc. There is something wrong with the way you approach issues Tpiah. It seems you have some pent up anger that manifest randomly, often without external prompts. The OP is a Nigerian, living in Ibadan. She is not an AA in Philadelphia. The whole angry black woman shitz has got nothing to do with us Nigerians. And, NO, Naija men arent intimidated by strong/well educated Naija women. Abiola married women above his station and there are other examples I am too lazy to dig up right now. So get a grip Tpiah. You are losing touch, going senile perhaps. |

Nekai: Unfortunately Tipah you are right, some immature guys consider 'uneducated' women off limits. Having too much education and independance is seen as a bad thing. If you have your own home, car, and all that they think you will be stuck up, or feel superior to them.
Hopefully the OP doesn't have a fiance like that.
