Going over the posts, I may be wrong but it appears to me that aaconsult and goget are the same person or at worst working for the same company but writing from the same literature. |
aaconsult:I will appreciate details too at jidolconsul005@yahoo.com |
EFCC should impound those cars immediately and invite the lecturers for questioning. It is gross abuse of office. You cannot sit at judgement in your own case. The situation is similar to a judge taking a gift from an accused arranged in his court. It is improper. Like i hear somebody says its their money. If it is their money nko . they should use it to bribe lecturers ? This is the university whose graduates Ekiti state goovernment says are unemployable and some people were kicking. UNAD is rotten and Prof Dipo Kolawole should brace up and do something positive and not to enco urage other students to emulate the part time students. |
sabaestate:I just opened a ad account and the adverts have disappeared. I went to my account the blog had not even be clicked once and Blogger says it is still enabled. I went to a friends blog, the adverts have disappeared too. The Google people may be up to something. It is definitely not because you click your site reason. Nairalanders may like to investigate |
QamarBQ:Yes, he is right. Go straight ahead. That combination of biz will gel anywhere in nigeria. We must drink and relax. |
moderator Please give me the link to bulk sms business. I am sure the thread had been posted before. |
Where is the Tax man with his axe? I am sorry for this country. |
Gabry:That you are great for teaching me how to quote, tha is all. cheers |
Gabry:Gabry, you are too much. God less but i have not gotten the lead to my IQ book. Do you have any leads ? |

Phemor, I made a post on book on IQ testing yesterday, could not find it under education but it is in my posts under profile. What is happening, pls educate me. There is an Auto Spam being installed here on nairaland and I believe that thing must have deleted your message cause it could have detected some Spam on your post. It happens to me as well Garby, Thanks but what is spasm in requesting for leads on books that test IQ. I still want this info, what do i do? Another job for you Garby, how do I quote post in colour as you did mine. |

I am searching for a book/books to test the IQ of both students and adults. Nairalanders pls give me leads. |
I am surprised that anybody would argue with what ceebayjo wrote on naming a business. It appears some nairalanders just post for the sake of it. People like ceebayjo should be encouraged. To me he sounds like a man who knows his onions. Now who says there is nothing to a name and that branding is all you need. Let him start his GSM network and name it OworonsokionaGbagada and see how it goes. It is people like them who start a school and name it Ogo oluwa Kitan International Primary school. I will never take my child to such school even if their teachers come from Eton college in Engand. I would rather take him to The Achievers or Future Leaders School. On this issue, I am on all fours with Ceebayjo and all professional marketers will. Any business name must satisfy the following conditions 1. Must be remembered easily 2, Must be short 3, Must be relevant 4 must portray a bit of value the customer will get. Go ask Okoya, he will tell you he didn't arrive at Eleganza by accident. Ask Tantalizer boss, he must have spent a lot of resources to arrive at that name and the list can be stretched infinity. As for Zain, i also agree with ceebayjo, i do not think much of it. When i hear it, i think of vain and from there i think of vainglorious and for that i do not like them. Celtel was better, souds feminine and beautiful and that is how it should be. |
I am not surprised that AIT is on the periphery of a big ditch. Dokpesi is an average undisciplined Nigeria Businessman. The Agenebode man spends money like water or as if it is going out of circulation. Any company head without financial discipline like him is bound to run the empire aground. Dopesi is not alone, he has friends in this club of privileged but shamless people who defraud their compatrionts. There was the former Lagos Governor, a retired brigadier , and now an ambassador who brought his airline to the public to rake money. There was the Ibo kid who many years ago scooped money with his tech companys public offer. They all ended in disaster because from the onset, these people were never ready to deliver. Now, my problem is why Nigerians do not learn. As a consultant i advised many not to take these offers but they still went ahead to buy. You may not blame them, in other climes, these people will by now have their hands in chain. That is if controlling bodies like NSE and stock exchange commission are doing their jobs, No, they wont. Instead Madam Stock Exchange will be busy raising money for Obama, Ever seen a person carrying water to the sea with a spoon? As for Dopesis reply to the woman, it is true to character but I am indeed ashamed of him. |
The sack of Kila is yet another tragedy the PDP had brought on all of us. PDP is a virus. when you get into that party no matter how principled you are, you get infested. The party is like a room filled with fresh apple. Just put a couple of rotten apples there, the rest get rotten-ed. That is what PDP does to them. I knew Adefemi Kila long ago. I have always seen him to be urbane and refined. And in all honesty, long before he became a senator he had proved to be a leader of his people. I know at least 10 university graduates he has made success of. You can imagine how disgusted i was when i saw him on the screen shouting "final figure", hours after he was alleged to have been arrested with guns. I had to strain my eyes and be sure it was him i was seeing on the screen. Of course with his trade mark beard, the task was easy. My stomach turned, i almost threw up. Femi Kila, a director o Julius Berger, the Ngeria foremost civil Engineers, Kila a former director of employent. That is what PDP do to people. Segun oni was a decent guy before he became PDP governor. As of now, i doubt if that adjective can be used to describe him with all the going ons in Ekiti. God save us. |
Esibi, Many of the advice given are very theoretical. We should be careful the advce we give to nairalanders. Many at times are little short of ridiculous. It is not possible to give investment advice without asking about the interest of the person. Again many nairalanders ssume that we all live in lagos. We shold know that a business that thrives well in Lagos may end in disaster in Ibadan. i advice you speak with Redman 44. He sounds knowledgeable nd professional. |
My friend snores badly in the night. What Can we do to eradicate it. |
Pdozie, i didn't take offence of Nuclear boy writing, i only wanted to make clarifications. If i sounded rough edged I am sorry. I was brought up in a truly refined tradition of accommodating others opinion. Now this ice block business. My candid advise is if your supply of electricity from the grid is not stable do not do it. Now if you are loaded and you can afford to buy a generator to drive a battery of the machines,go ahead. You will make money. If electricity is stable the business is very profitable. Dan associate has made my job easy, he already has a website. please use goggle to check his site and make comprisons. Visit on www.danultimate.com |
Emortal,. I think your advice is very practicable. Most of the advices given have not taken into consideration the fact that the guy is a student. Apart from fried yam, the guy can cook rice and stew in the mornings and evenings assuming he can cook very well. And many boys are good cook. He of course has to be disciplined. The time others use infront of TV he will use to prepare for the next day. Students will prefer him to others, being one of their own. If he does not like the competition in rice let him try Asaro. He will stand out, before you know it he will be sending money to his parents |
you, I contacted the poster who wants you to contact him first. I asked for his manufacturers number/address. His response (via email AGAIN) was that he'd get back to me in a couple of days: Standard issue response when you're trying to impress without having the capability to do so. I asked because I think I know practically every true builder in Ibadan and their capability and am not aware of anyone boasting his specs and price. 58, state hospital road, off ring road, Ibadan (08033272767/07055530420 email:kubae@yahoo.com). Visit at your convenience. Not only will you see machines being built but also ice being frozen/sold. And Ice machine prices are not hard-coded. They vary according to market forces but you're looking at about 300K (installation included) MY REPLY. By the time i was making those posts it was suday and i was in my room and not in the office where i could pick the address. Now i bet Nuclear boy does not even know half of the ice block machine makers in Ibadan. In Akobo there are more than 6. I bet again, he does not know Dan Asa Ultimate Industries, Ajoda Neww Town, Egbeda, Ibadan. Show room at 18 and 19 Mobus Shopping center, Opposite New Gbagi, Ibadan. Yes, you are right Nuclear boy, the guy is my friend of many years but i have not made claims i cannot substantiate. Dans freezers are solid. He does not use Tokunbo compressors as many do. Kunle, when buying watch out for the compressors. To buy a freeezer with tokunbo compressor is to be kobo wise, naira foolish. If i make a post, it is made from experience and judgement with good intention. I have sent a message to Dan to send me prices and more details . As soon as i get it from him i will make anothe post. There is more to this ice block business than what I am reading. Is it not this country of 3 hours current in "48 hours. At times i wonder where people get their stats from. For this block making business we shall get to the root. Nuclear boy do not bomb me o. Cheers |
I know a guy in Ibadan who has a factory making these machines. He read refrigeration in England and holds a doctorte. His machines are solid and may even be better than imported ones. I know because i bought one from him. Beautiful and solid machine. Now ,getting the machine is one thing, running the business is a different kettle of fish altogether. Do not mind people who say you make N10000 a day, ask them with how much? anyway if you want the machine from the Ibadan manufacturer , (by the way you will install with under N500,000,) contact me at jidolconsul005@yahoo.com |
Y ee pa Ara orun ti sewon, serves him right . I must add that masguerades in some paces are devoid of violence that characterises Ibadan festival ,especially this alapansanpa. Miscreants use it to steal and maim and in some cases, for vendeta. In some other climes, masquerades do entertain with drums and dance and they are said to have healing therapy. At last I can remember once, when I was small, the sound of the drums of our own alapansanpa, not Ibadan own o, sent my fever scampering. Now let me give a coupe of examples where masquerades do entertain. One, if you watch Aladunwo masquerade at Oke Imesi i nEkiti state, you will have a memory you wont forget for life. The crowd, the atmosphere can only be compared to Man U Versus Liverpool FA final minus the noise. Two, At Effon Alaye, the gate way to Ekiti State, their Alabalu masquerade is the acme of cultural entertainment. No cutlasses and sticks as you have in Ibadan. This masquerade will likely make an outing this year and i will keep interested nairalanders posted. |
Follow your mind. Advice are the cheapest commodity and in ,many cases they are worthless because they are given from the perspective of the giver. They have not seen what you saw. Only the deep can call to the deep. Now the tips given so far are ok but i want to add a couple. First, find a celebrity to clothe, for example a musician. an actor of repute and cloth him or her for free for a start. If you have a couple you are clothing and your designs are cute they will bring clientèle. You can not make money if you focus on people who cannot afford to sew a trouser for N1000. You need people who do not care to cut a shirt for N5000 and these are found in the top of the economic ladder. You best place of location is one of the cites Lagos, Abula, P Harcourt. Best of luck |
Could be lucrative but you have to consider power as the guy said. With this, you have to locate near a busy market.Straigh away, this should tell you you cannot locate in a small town. Only some big cities can take this busines besides Lagos. So think properly before you go into it. I have a friend who made good money from the business but had to pack up because of power supply and to think the business was right in Ojota Lagos. My brother, AGO is 100 naira per litre and if you run your gen for 10 hours at 1 litre an hour that is 1000 nara. Then tecnicians and the rest of them. But if you are thinking of selling fish, that is a diffrerent kettle of fish altogether with its attendant risks. Ask those in it they will tell you. My advice. wait till electricity improves. Meanwhile do some other things. For some other businesses you can do talk to me on jidolconul005@yahoo.com |
Take simiac advice and sell. Any aternative will end in financial disaster. This is Nigeria, even under your nose, they try to skin you. |
I am a christain but I am worried the commercial trend the churses are taking. When father Jesus was here he had no horses, even the donkey he rode to Jerusalem was another peron's own and we were not told he held on onto it. Now the pastors are no more satisfied with jeeps, they are now into jets. Honestly with the tons of money they are making,I think they must be taxed. And let nobody tell me they use the money for philantrophy like building schools. I know there are paupers in the churches where their pastors are flying jets and the universities they build with the poor men,s money are attended only by the children of the rich |
In nature there are classes. You have groups amd classes in biology. Even in heaven there are angels and arch angels, so talking about class is no discrimination. It is conforming with tle law of nature. Now, if you sell provision in down Lagos with only a pass in Yoruba in your o Level you can date your driver. But with 2 gegrees and holding a top post in bank, it does not fix. How does he discuss when you are in the midst of your peers. I am not sure they teach topics like break even analysis, liquidity ratio and things like that in the driving schools. That is if you differentiate between a fling and dating. Whichever one it is, for a corporate lady to go to bed with her driver is ibere ori buruku |
