This' the most honourable thing to do for him. This is certainly not the best time to hold such a sensitive exercise; looking at the security situation of the country and the general preparedness of the Census commission. It'll certainly end up in controversy if he goess ahead with it.

It means the monarchy shares power with the prime minister just the way Azikwe shared power with Tafawa Balewa in the first republic.

For any bill in the UK, the King's accent is needed to make it a law.

With this, it means the monarchy still performs a constitutional role though limited.

The head of the British monarchy is her head of the armed forces which is a sort of constitutional role.
Being head of the commonwealth is a constitutional role too.

Anybody that can go to the extent of boiling water should be considered an attempted murder talkless of acid. The aim is to cause maximum permanent damage with the possibility of death. Look at that man's picture even if he's breathing than man is already dead. Infact a dead man has more hope than him being alive. It's either the prosecuting lawyer is incompetent or has been compromised or the Judge has been compromised too. Now let's ask how many years this case has been on. Deduct it from the sentence. This bastard will soon be on the street in no time. Is that Justice?!

The Judge is not to be blame here. it depends on the offense which the prosecutors charged with. If they hard charged him with attempted murder, they have to show "intent" and if they are not able to prove intent to murder, then the accused may walk..but he cannot escape from the charge to cause " grievous harm" and the maximum years i think is 7 years

What are you saying is acid something to joke with that you're saying "they have to prove intent" Even the pictures speak for themselves. This judgement is no judgement!

Just 7years?! What kind of judges are these. This is attempted murder now...this judgement should be appealed it's too lenient. This one should have been given atleast life imprisonment!

How can you have only muslims as the head of the top 3 positions of the country? That is grossly insensitive and wicked. Barau should not use his own political ambition to scatter his party. These senators should follow the noble example of the northern governors. Party position should come higher than individual ambition at this stage. He can be the majority leader so that NW can emerge Speaker of the house. Those pushing for this nonsense should be warned.
