Family › A Thread For Mentors And Mentees by FutureFocus(op):
The purpose of this thread is to help serious minded people who have demonstrated seriousness but lack the capacity to develop independently without guidance, to meet willing mentors who may help them to develop in capacity in any way possible.
What is Mentoring?
A mentorship is a relationship formed between a mentor and mentee with the goal of sharing knowledge and expertise between the mentor and the mentee. It can be a formal relationship with written goals and scheduled meeting times or it can be as informal as an occasional chat or email exchange, a mentor mustn’t have to be a qualified trainer or an expert in the role the mentee carries out.

Who is a Mentor?
A mentor is a coach, guide, tutor, facilitator, counselor and trusted advisor. A mentor is someone willing to spend his or her time and expertise to guide the development of another person.
Who is a Mentee?
A mentee is a student, protégé, apprentice and eager learner. A mentee is someone who wants to learn from someone who knows and seeks their valuable advice in order to grow personally and/or professionally.

What is the difference between MENTOR and MENTEE?
They traditionally meet through either professional connections or personal networking. Mentors often seek to mentor talented or “coachable” individuals, while mentees seek mentors who possess the sort of experience and connections they need to further their careers

Activities have included educational visits, advocacy, practical advice and more. These activities involve a person or organization with skills, experience or knowledge, sharing with someone who has requested assistance in specific areas
In general, the purpose of mentoring is to support individual development by providing both career and psycho social support. It is essential that a Mentor can draw on personal expertise and experience. They may also consult “subject experts” who have more detailed or specific knowledge of a particular issue.

NOTICE - Please no cooperate begging, E-begging or any form of Babilanla on this thread, this opportunity should not be abused!
In addition, this thread is expected to be a peaceful, calm and decent thread, I hereby encourage us to keep it so here.

Thanks! I passed there today. They are still in operation. The place is always filled with big people and whites. Fear no lemme branch ask abeg....I no wan shame like you cheesy
I will advice you to get a hand operated mince meat machine, I angrily got one as well for 3500 Naira at Jankara Market on the Island , it will solve the problem because you will even be able to buy fillet steak or beef for as little as 1Kg or even half KG and grind it.

you should find it at Old Bukuru Park by traffic light in Jos.for about N5,000 though.
you can also order online

Yummy! Can I get the dough recipe?

Modified
Jos people.. please where can I get minced beef in Jos cos there's no ShopRite here
the only store selling mince meat in Jos is right beside Photo World called Ferak or something, opposite Afrione .
very expensive though! I once got shrimps for fried rice there long in 2012 , that was the first and the last time I did with shame as it was too expensive, i think the store is still operating the last time i visited Jos.
Even in Lagos its hard to get real mincemeat as what they are selling are best suitable for samoza fillings and not meatpie, but there is a store around Mega Plaza around Kofo Abayomi in VI called Hartney , painted in white and green selling for #3,000 per KG.
but in PH , you can get in Out Food Butchery and Groceries around Rumubiakani Junction , Mangolyn at Ogunabali , Zartech and so many places. Thanks

You're welcome

Buttermilk is a slightly sour milk. The sourness of buttermilk comes from acids in the milk, most notably, lactic acids. Buttermilk is use for cooking, baking and marination.

You can get it in any grocery store.... Shoprite have it

But I usually make mine at home, all you need is Lime and milk or vinegar

Homemade buttermilk

Ingredients
Milk
Fresh lemon juice or white vinegar

Instructions
Add the milk and lemon juice together in a bowl or French Press and stir.
Allow the milk to rest for at least 5 minutes but no longer than 10 minutes.
When the milk is slightly curdled, the buttermilk is ready to use
You have this amazing skills and wealth of experience Sir, Thank you for sharing with us.

The Ministry of Agriculture should also give attention to our fishing industry, by looking into how to tap these resources, this will also provide job for a certain numbers of people .

Fish is also regarded as a very healthy source of protein ,the more reason I prefer fish to red meat.

That attitude is not particular to any gender , it may comes to play as a result of laziness , not into you , busy with work , busy chatting with others, hence the little attention for you , but the truth is whoever such persons prioritize will get their best attention because there is always that one person , but the funniest thing is that person may not even have time for them as well.

However, the reason is still yours to figure.

“it is our pleasure to announce that our Far East (China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore) service will no longer be calling at Lagos Ports but now comes to Onne directly, giving you a reduced transit time. This is effective this Jan 2020.
Yeah , Good development , infact ! few more shipping companies should do same, by the way not the entire Mearsk cargo to Nigeria, its just few coming from Far East (China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore) as stated above which i doubt will have any significant impact on Lagos State .

I know of a situation where someone got a new line for a new device, as you know it's the usual practice that Android request for Gmail and Gmail request for phone number for verification before users are signed up for Gmail, the moment the new phone number was entered, a message was received from Gmail saying the max number of time the number could be used for registration has been reached , and later got a Birthday wishes message from banks and notifications EKDC.
a new line should be a new line, I don't think this is nice for mobile phone subscribers ,

IamCookie:
Even if you were given birth to by the same parent(mother and father) , it doesn't necessarily mean you'd find yourself in the USA because your brother is there . He may not have the 'willingness' to assist you and somebody else's (not related by blood or marriage) may be more than willing to assist. The latter is whom God has designed to assist you in life rather than the person you had earlier hoped will do it and confident about
Are you a teacher? I commend you for your patience in responding to him considering his manner of approach, well done.

let's eradicate this mental slavery mentality, we need to rewrite our own history. our forefathers has been fishing in that river Niger for centuries before mungo park came visiting and then forced those lies on us because the British had a gun we didn't have as at then, Mungo Park is a criminal! a broad day light robber! his lies and claims are meant to ensure we remains mentally colonized for ever, OP should free himself from mental slavery.

TUANKU:
Visit the website of department for petroleum resources (dpr), it's a subsidiary of nnpc, there you can download the latest guidelines & regulations/requirements for opening & operating a petrol station.
There are fees you're required to pay which will be different from cost of construction. My advice, get the services of a consultant in that field and engage their services.
This is also a good clue
Business › Re: Detailed Advice In Starting A Filling Station In Nigeria by FutureFocus: 5:44pm On Jan 09, 2020
danduchi:
NNPC sell PMS to independent marketers @133.50 - #136.50 per liter and you as a marketer sell for #145 per liter.. That's a profit of ~#10 per litre... If you have a tanker of 35,000 litres, you make a profit of #350,000.. Lucrative right? U have to pay your workers, buy diesel for your generator and miscellaneous cost... All boils done if you can get at least supply of fuel alteast 4times in a month.... To counter all this, join their union, be ready to bribe, don't involve in their union politics, be neutral to all parties involve and support them all financially, then you enjoy your business.
Good point Sir.
