Bro, relax I am yet to see or hear any evidence of the immigration officers checking your proof of fund at the port of entering the UK. The most probable question they could ask is questions related to your field of study or programme and destinations In the UK.POF is dealt with at UKvi. (My opinion).

Nobody has that time to confirm the proof of the fund already used for a visa, you have the right to transfer your money after your visa or pay the full tuition and necessary bills, accommodation and all the things you wish. See oyinbo understands all these things, look if they don't want you to school in the uk why do you think they give you 28 days of pof. Its Just to make things easy base on their new policy, they want to achieve a certain number of skilled labour from graduate route.

Hence the reason the process is not too difficult. The one that shocked me was my friend who forgot that he needed to do a TB test, he had kept his money for 28 days printed it out and on getting to TLS he was asked, he quickly left there went back to book TB with IOM but later to gate crashed and did it after two weeks. He still got his visa. He is in Birmingham now. Lol.

lol there is at least one case of POF being checked at the Poe on this thread. I have heard 3cases for this year only tho

yes tho they may later ask for official transcript so you can tell your school to send it to them if you are sure you want to go to the school

I don't think you can get a visa for per time study

Please what can be done in the case that the date of birth on IOM TB test was entered incorrectly.

E.g. I entered date of birth as 7th of July instead of 8th of July.

I have tried calling IOM but numbers not going through.

you can correct it on the day of your test as you will be filling another questionnaire before your test commence

Please I need your candid advice.
I have started my application to the University of Hull. Tuition is 9k, the deposit fee is 2k. I can afford to pay the deposit fee, other accompanying expenses and show the required POF for a visa but I can't afford the outstanding tuition. My friend advised me to come over first and then take on extra jobs to pay off outstanding tuition, though it might require working beyond the allowed work hours for students, this was what she did.

Thought to seek a public opinion before venturing into this. Thank you in advance for all the advice.

also think about when you are caught if you work more than the required hour. I will advise you stick to the 20hours students are allowed to work

So you had blood in your faeces and the first thing you thought of was Google it and self diagonize yourself? Then you thought the best place to get treatment is the church instead of going to the hospital (this is if Ur story is even true) that is how most Nigerians kill themselves. That was how one pregnant woman in my street carried herself to church during labour. it was when it got serious, that was when sense came to their head to take her to the hospital unfortunately, it was too late....msnuy many stories like that.

Electronic copies are processed faster the second time you request it because it would have been signed and stamped (not always dated). So it's more like forwarding it to another institution. If it’s the first time, it will take 2-3 weeks.

Something is wrong somewhere, my soft copy upload transcript was done within 3days of application. The person should mail them records@unilag.edu.ng..They respond to mails.

they are no longer responding to mails ....how did you know when they had sent it?

It should not be more than two to three weeks. You need to go there, first-floor Senate building, and meet them in the records office, explain your case to the security man at the entrance he will link you up.. Or tell you to fill a small slip downstairs,albeit, unilag don't delay transcript, you can give them one more week.

3weeks just to send soft copy via mail? Omo that school is annoying

Please people of God that finished from unilag, how long did it take for unilag to send your transcript to your intended post graduate school in the UK? Do you have any body that can help someone speed up the process cos the wait is becoming frustrating

But what I read óò....is that you can only apply for the post graduate visa before your student visa expires, the students eligible are those that their graduations falls after July 1st and the only dependants allowed are the ones the person applied for during his program. Let me find it and post it here

I don't think this should be an issue for us to exchange words about. the rules are new and hence we may not understand how it will work. Why can't we just talk to each other maturely and fully analyze the rules so that people can know what it really says and not remain confuse. Just my own thought

2. No. A person already in the UK before July 1st is qualified. Only those people who come to the UK to study after July 1st are not qualified.
3. You can for those present in the UK before July 1st. Her husband is eligible if he studied in the UK.

well the number 3, I am very certain they said you can't reg a new dependant when applying for the post graduate visa. The only dependant that qualifies is the one that you applied for during your program

Another thing you can do is for your husband to wait till July 1st and apply for post study visa. Then you can apply as his dependant with post study dependant visa which is direct, faster and cheapest option.

A person with dependant visa can study full time. The person can work full time also. The person can even switch to Tier 2 visa if they see suitable sponsor.

1. Did her husband study in UK?
2. If her husband has graduated already, I don't think he qualifies for the post graduate visa, since it is just starting by June
3. You can't bring in new dependant after you have graduated

Last year November sir. The issue of age discrepancies is common with us in Nigeria. Both waec, University transcript is not left behind. Although some schools don't take this serious, but some few most high ranking schools in UK will ask for any possibility of resolving your age issue.

lol like I said, I was at WAEC office few weeks ago. My cousin also wants to change his date of birth and we asked about it, and one of the staff simply showed us the news letter that they don't do correction of age anymore starting dec last year. Again, there is no harm in trying and going to WAEC yourself to find out. But this isn't hear say, it was something I confirmed. You have not been there recently, yet you are arguing with people that just went recently. Besides, your phone is there, browse it

we must defeat every impossibility spirit by Gods grace. I like what justwise said in one of the questions asked by someone, he said don't believe in they said"..omo this was how I also believed my waec won't be corrected then. until I drove down to meet them got it done at ogba.

See bro, waec result is one of the equivalents to your doing IELTS..and the implication is that your school will collate it with your transcripts, certificate and send to the Home office. The home office normally queries the school why the age difference. Some allow affidavit but can't be like original which speaks for itself because your school will need to be carrying extra affidavit to your result. If they made mistake to forward only result to the home office your application could be delayed. Every student who is enrolling on Uk schools is having their documents sent to the homes office for their visa certification and records purposes.

Pay school fees only when you have been instructed to do so ,after receiving an unconditional offer .

actually, his conditional offer states he can pay his deposit but it is advisable you pay after getting UC tho
